6w + 2d
The nausea has really kicked in now. I've been taking pre-natal vitamins with B6, and I'm also keeping a packet of crackers on me at all times, but nothing seems to work. Any tips???

I had Hyperemesis with my first my second was just normal morning sickness , I never let myself get hungry or thirsty as that made it worse. I think everyone finds something different that helps mine was sipping flat Fanta with my second nothing worked with the hg.

@MyGardenDaisies I thought I was 7 weeks exactly, so 3 days ahead of what I thought. My cycles are a bit shorter so it makes sense. She initially said 7+4 then changed it. Here's the little pic

Aawwww congratulations!!!

Melusina123 · 14/01/2025 13:24

@WestiesAreMyBesties it’s trial and error. I’ve had persistent nausea (no vomiting) in all my pregnancies and honestly nothing has helped much. I’ve just tried to stay constantly snacking (crackers with salsa, dried apricots) and hydrated - I found the lucozade “sport” (the isotonic ones that aren’t carbonated) worked best. I found that I tolerated sharp/sweet flavours better. Ginger felt like it helped a bit but I struggled with the strong flavour!

@thismotherhoodthing congrats, I’m so pleased for you. :)

Is anyone else really struggling to be productive? I’ve got this big piece of work due, that is entirely reliant on me sitting down and concentrating and switching on my brain and I am s t r u g g l i n g so hard.

thismotherhoodthing · 14/01/2025 13:29

@Melusina123 yes me. I specifically worked from home today to complete a piece of work that I need to get done and I have done absolutely nothing. Oh dear!

5 weeks today, just got my invite to badger notes is anyone else using it? Does the booking in appointment come separately?

I had badger notes for my last pregnancy and have just logged into again for this pregnancy. You have to complete the pre-booking questionnaire on there before your first midwife appointment x

Earlgrey23 · 14/01/2025 14:06

After my line progression scare yesterday, I've got my first dye stealer! Relieved!
I've requested the WhatsApp group too 🥰

Excellent news @thismotherhoodthing very pleased for you!

@Melusina123 Constantly struggling to focus on anything! I get sleepy in the afternoons as well and I'm not a morning person, so I feel as though it takes me ages to get going, I hit lunch and then immediately feel too tired to do anything else. I've no symptoms yet apart from wanting the occasional nap.

Congrats on the dye stealer. See you in the group @Earlgrey23

I’ve just completed the questionnaire when do you get your first appointment does it come through on the app?

Melusina123 · 14/01/2025 14:19

@thismotherhoodthing @KittyFantastica glad it’s not just me. I just had a half-hour lie-down and am now back to trying to force myself to concentrate!

Your midwife should give you a call and then book your first appointment with you. It should show up on the app too but they would usually call you to get it booked in too. That was my experience of it last time anyway.

OnlyYellowRoses · 14/01/2025 14:59

Can I join please? Bit late to the party but hoping for a similar experience from when I was on Due Date clubs on another website. Some of the ladies from there are still friends with me almost 19 years later Smile
So I'm 7+3 (technically due Aug 30th) but first DD calculated said 4th Sep.
Baby number 5 but first one with my husband (he's on the ceiling with excitement). Other kids are 17, 15, 12 and 7 but unaware just yet, we're keeping it quiet until past the 'safe point' as we lost 2 last year.

Already had an early reassurance scan because of those losses, so far so good except horrific morning sickness, I've had HG with 2 pregnancies but the GP has prescribed some meds to help.

Mooey89 · 14/01/2025 20:08

@camelinastorm I am so, so sorry.

I had bloods today to check rising HCG levels, I made the decision to stop weeing on sticks and made my OH confiscate all the leftovers. Crossing everything that my levels double ok.
Once they are back if they are ok I might be brave and join the WhatsApp group 🤞

Sugarcube84 · 14/01/2025 20:44

I’ve just requested to join the WhatsApp group

T0astedTeacake · 14/01/2025 21:51

Hi everyone. I've just got my bfp and due around the 21/09. This will be my 4th child; I already have three boys. My eldest is 16 so quite the age gap!
I've requested to join the WhatsApp too x

SpookyAllSeasons · 15/01/2025 00:23

Hi all,

I got my BFP on Sunday (12th Jan) and I am estimated to be due on the 15th September 25.

This is my second pregnancy, but I had my first son 17 years ago now! Huge gap between them. I am SO excited.

Mooey89 · 15/01/2025 07:07

Awww congratulations @SpookyAllSeasons!
my EDD is 16/09.
like you this is my second pregnancy but my son is 12 so it feels like my first one!

MyGardenDaisies · 15/01/2025 07:28

Welcome to the new joiners! 🤗

@Mooey89 @SpookyAllSeasons wow that must be something to go back to baby days after so long!
im also having my second but they will have a 2.5y gap 😄

MyGardenDaisies · 15/01/2025 07:31

I am 5+5 today, can’t believe in 5 days I’ll be already half way through this trimester!

feeling a bit wheezy this morning before breakfast. I got nausea from 6+5

Mooey89 · 15/01/2025 07:41

@MyGardenDaisies i know, im trying not to freak out 😂😂
so much has changed! I heard they discontinued metanium!!!
I was 23 when I had my son and 35 feels very very different for being pregnant and running around after a small one!

ManifestingBaby2023 · 15/01/2025 12:36

Congratulations Everyone! ✨

I've been lurking for awhile after getting my first vvvf positive on the 1st. Finally got 3+ on clearblue, but not 100% sure on my weeks as wasn't too sure on when i ovulated 😅

Got my booking appointment for the start of February which is exciting and nerve wracking! As this is my second pregnancy and my first went a bit crazy towards the end its looking like I'll be high risk - which im not looking forward to tbh.

Requested to join the whatsapp group ☺️

MyGardenDaisies · 15/01/2025 13:51

@ManifestingBaby2023 I am high risk too and was in my first pregnancy and to be honest you mainly just get extra scans and a consultant , which is nice to have a doctor too not only a midwife

KittyFantastica · 15/01/2025 15:46

I'm also high risk @MyGardenDaisies @ManifestingBaby2023 I gave birth at 19 weeks in September and lost my beautiful little boy, so we are trying to avoid a repeat. The reason is still considered inconclusive, so hopefully they can pull something out of the bag for this one. This is my fourth pregnancy, and no living children 😞

Lou98x · 15/01/2025 23:05

Hi all - joining today as I found out this week I am pregnant with DC2! App is showing due date as 19th, although I was tracking ovulation so think it’s more like the 23rd!

no real symptoms yet, although I have been boiling the last few days!?

looking forward to following all your journeys!
