@SnakebitesandSambucas ❤️
I have a pregnancy pillow, but you have to turn it with you each time you turn over, but I'm thinking I might start using it again to give me a bit of comfort. I did buy a v shape pillow to help prop me up in bed and also when I'm downstairs.

I was awake from 2:30-6am this morning with the most horrendous reflux 😫 Never had it with my other 2.. Had it a few times this time but last night was BY FAR the worst! Anyone have any tips? I've got gaviscon on prescription which has helped previously but did absolutely nothing this morning x

What did you eat/drink yesterday? I find some things trigger it more than others. Fatty, spicy, citrusy food is basically a non starter.

You might have burnt your oesophagus if you were lying down with that all night and need omeprazole to help it heal tbh.

BrightGoose · 30/03/2025 21:35

I have omeprozole twice a day .. the only thing that keeps mine under control but I have had heart burn horrifically in all three pregnancies

I’m suffering with pelvic pain at the min honestly it feels like it’s going to snap in two right on my pubic bone 😫

Nothing that would usually trigger it tbh and I only had a small evening meal wayyyyy before bed too so was very surprised it was so bad. I've been offered omeprazole too but wanted to try and avoid it if possible but might have to see how I go after last night.

I had awful pelvic pain in my other 2 pregnancies but only had arpund a 10 week bout with this one thankfully but it does still come back a little if I sit in certain positions for too long. I bought a brilliant pregnancy pillow off amazon that really helped massively and was less than £20... I'd get the 12ft version though if I were to buy it again but I am quite tall (nearly 5ft8) x

This pillow looks tempting mines more a feeding pillow. Crikey went outside for a quick walk / hobble waddle to get my prescription. Felt like I had done a marathon 😳. Baby is definitely head down

BrightGoose · 31/03/2025 21:17

I have a good pillow and I do sleep well most nights it’s just turning over that’s painful.

ive had loads of braxton hicks today I think after three busy days I need to rest tomorrow

Toothfairy0113 · 01/04/2025 01:06

Turning over honestly feels like an olympic sport at this point!!

Sierra26 · 01/04/2025 09:02

I’m struggling with turning over too - even once I’ve achieved it, it feels like gravity causes my organs to resettle each time along with baby and it can be quite painful. Getting up for a loo break is actually a welcome stretch out!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/04/2025 10:01

Got a pregnancy massage soon can't wait. My shoulders and back are sore!

LozC0411 · 01/04/2025 10:19

35 + 1 today and I have 3 appointments back to back this afternoon😩1st is with diabetes team as they suspect I have reactive hyperglycaemia? Second is a growth scan and then last is with my consultant!
I just want little man to arrive now I am so excited, and in pain haha

I hope it goes well! I had one last month at a spa and she didn't use enough pressure for my liking!

AutumnalPuffin · 01/04/2025 10:58

I had such a wonderful pregnancy massage that I immediately booked two more in, there was something so needed about having your body made to feel so much more relaxed and pain free.

Something a bit odd that I noticed in the shower last night was that my nipples appeared to have some slightly hard almost blackheads on them: they were not at all painful to remove but I wondered whether anyone else had experienced this and whether it might have been dried colostrum? I’m 34 weeks but I don’t remember this from my last pregnancy.

Jess2826 · 01/04/2025 20:31

Had my 32 week growth scan today. I'm 32+5 and baby is currently measuring 4.9lb and is in the 77th percentile.
Now need to decide when to go on maternity leave. I'm due 22nd May and originally gave the 16th as my last day. When is everyone else finishing work? I work in a school so am off for 2 weeks for half term then need to decide how long to go back for. I don't want to go off too early but I'm also starting to feel so exhausted! Anyone got a crystal ball? 🔮🤣

BrightGoose · 01/04/2025 20:46

No crystal ball but I have used my holidays for the year before my maternity so I finished yesterday. Partly due to needing holidays for Easter and then found it abit pointless going back for a week or so after, and my job is very very demanding and I was already struggling.

glad baby is growing nicely!

boobs are weird when pregnant I’m sure anything is possible !

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/04/2025 20:59

I have had a pregnancy massage but it was just after my 12 week scan. Seems like a lifetime ago and it was crap! So hopefully this one will be better! Booked myself a float spa as well as a treat. I hope I don't turn out to be claustrophobic 😂. Yes boobs can do funny things while pregnant. But ask your midwife or GP if in doubt. As any changes should be noted!

LozC0411 · 01/04/2025 21:10

I had a growth scan today at 35+1 and baby is estimated to be 7lb1oz🥲 he is all healthy and is also head down!
had an appointment with consultant after who has booked my induction for the 29th April😁

LeBonBon · 01/04/2025 21:11

My tiny baby is still on the 3rd centile, measuring 4lbs13oz at 34w6d. He's borderline so I will definitely be under pressure to deliver early. Had my heart set on a VBAC after my first baby was small/ended up with csection after a failed induction. This will be my last baby and I just wanted to experience natural labour at least once but fear it's not going to happen for me 😞

SnakebitesandSambucas · 01/04/2025 21:56

I haven't been told my baby's centile apart from having slightly small femurs. I'm curious now. Both my living children would have been huge if gone full term I know that. @LeBonBon hugs that must be hard don't be afraid to get some pre birth counselling if you feel the need the talk. I got to be honest I have such extreme tokophobia that I feared never having children unless I could have a C-section. And until they changed the rules I honestly thought no children for me then. Have they administered steroids for babies lungs?

LeBonBon · 01/04/2025 22:11

Thanks @SnakebitesandSambucas x
It's hard to talk about my first experience - I was out of my mind with worry about DD's size (didn't find out about her being small until later on) and was hit with all sorts about still birth etc. I accepted induction which was awful - I watched so many come and go from the ward whilst nothing happened for me. C-section was inevitable. And it wasn't unpleasant in the end (semi-planned) but I've just got it in my head that I've somehow missed out and I can't shake it.

No steroids for baby. Fluids fine, blood flow great, no high bp, no GD, movements are good - he seems far more active than my DD so far. I've just got to hold onto all of that and pray I can hang on until 39 weeks/hope he decides to come early.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 02/04/2025 10:39

The fact they haven't given steroids and your obs looked good is a great sign. Means your baby is still thriving and healthy. You could get a second opinion on induction? Some woman do naturally have small babies

BrightGoose · 02/04/2025 20:11

Hi everyone abit of an off question but for those who are having braxton hicks are they always the same pain?

I have had regular braxton hicks from very early on where my whole tummy goes hard.. very familiar I had them all last pregnancy still.. but now since Sunday I keep getting a wave like pain around my back and into my thigh and across my belly exactly like my labour pains have been before .. it’s happening about 3/4 times a day and it is a sickening pain.. I don’t know if this is normal or not

Poster57 · 02/04/2025 20:14

@BrightGoose I'm getting the like that but unlike you I never had it with either of my other 2 so goodness knows whether it’s normal. I have mentioned to my MW but she doesn’t really seem to say much about.l it. The first night it happened I got quite a fright, having had 2 inductions I’ve also never gone into labour naturally before and wasn’t sure what was happening! That was weeks ago now though..

Rainbowsunshine81 · 02/04/2025 21:09

I think I might have been experiencing Braxton hicks, where my bump goes hard for a while then stops, not 💯 sure though.
