I had the RSV at the same time as my Anti-D and thankfully everything has been absolutely fine, I wouldn’t have noticed I’d had them. The whooping cough vaccine was similarly unremarkable. What is remarkable though is the amount of effort that turning over in bed takes: I really have to psyche myself up to turn from side to side and I don’t remember this level of effort first time round!

Dojo13 · 03/03/2025 15:41

God yes the core! I definitely did not have a strong core to start with but I was really struggling to get off the sofa or out of bed without fully pushing up on my arms. I would have to roll off the sofa or have my husband pull me up 😂 In the past week I can tell he’s dropped which now makes it slightly easier but it is still an effort. Only going to get worse again these next few weeks of them putting on all the weight 😅

Rainbowsunshine81 · 03/03/2025 16:33

I keep flipping in bed from my left side to my right side 😀

Sierra26 · 03/03/2025 17:43

Appt fail - wouldn’t give me RSV or antiD as I’m 27+4 and not 28. So have to go back in a few days.

Worst thing about turning in bed is mastering taking the pregnancy pillow with you 🤣

I'm getting my rsv at 30/32 weeks.
Haha yes, turning in bed is like an olympic sport!

Oh no! What a pain! I’m surprised they didn’t let it go as it’s a matter of three days based on an estimated date at best!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 03/03/2025 18:36

I had all my vaccinations. I have seen so many newborns and babies poorly from respiratory viruses! It wasn't available when my first two were around. I also paid privately for the chicken pox vaccination! My chest infection is easing of with the 💊. But my HG has come back with a vengeance!! Also got to plan for world book day and my eldest birthday party .... 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Beccaa123 · 04/03/2025 16:43

Has anyone found their heart rate gets randomly high?
I know my resting is higher due to pregnancy and the same when I'm walking, anywhere from 95-120. But sometimes I'll be doing nothing or very little and I'll see it get to 130-150

BrightGoose · 04/03/2025 16:50

Have you had your iron checked recently ? Just keep an eye if you keep having episodes where it’s normal then goes really high contact the GP and ask for an ECG

My iron was checked a few weeks a go and was fine. I think I'll mention it at my next appointment though. It doesn't happen very often.

Zeeha · 04/03/2025 20:39

Hi @Beccaa123 do you have a BP machine you can use to check your BP when your pulse is high? This has been happening to me and last Monday I couldn't get my pulse to calm. I took my BP and it was soaring. I ended up admitted for the day and given medicine to bring it under control. At first they suspected sepsis so gave me IV antibiotics but the bloods cleared me of that. ECG was fine. All they found was low blood sugar, which was odd as I'd had a large bowl of cereal that morning. I've been checking my blood sugar at home now too to be safe and I'm getting rechecked for GD. My pulse does still keep going crazy though, but I've been able to bring it down within half an hour or so since then which is reassuring.

How often is it happening to you?
Mine isn't very regular. I do have a blood pressure machine, but I'm typically not home when it happens!
Mine also doesn't last too long
Interestingly I do have GD, but palpitations also can be a normal pregnancy symptom from what I've read.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 05/03/2025 12:30

@Zeeha definitely get it checked out anyway. I'm having a an echo scan next week on my heart and wore a holster for 24hrs. I have extra heartbeats and some other stuff so pregnancy really plays a number on me. I hate the palpitations makes me feel very unwell! 28 weeks today!!!

BrightGoose · 05/03/2025 14:07

I get eptopic beats in my heart too the extra beats are so much worse in pregnancy but this is my third and I’ve got use to it 😂

Zeeha · 05/03/2025 15:55

Ahh it's happening so often. Multiple times today my pulse has been crazy. I feel like crap and tired too. I had ferritin levels tested again yesterday and the results are back now at 17. Two months ago they were 35, a month before this 54 and the test before this 130. I've been on ferrous sulfate with orange juice since December as well as pregnacare and it's still dropping! I guess I'll ask the doctor if an infusion may be required, especially with it being likely I'll require an early c section 🤦 I wonder if the iron is the cause of the racing heart beat and feeling like I could curl up into a ball 🤷

SnakebitesandSambucas · 05/03/2025 16:13

My levels is 8.9! No wonder I'm feeling so rough 😬

Zeeha · 05/03/2025 17:33

Wow that is low. I hope they're doing something to help you!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 05/03/2025 18:21

@Zeeha they keep pushing iron tablets on me but I can barely keep down any fluids or my anti sickness. Want to avoid a hospital stay but I'm not sure for how long. Looking after my eldest two as well is draining the life out of me! Plus side I have a lovely bump 28 weeks today!!!

Zeeha · 05/03/2025 20:00

Happy third trimester @SnakebitesandSambucas! Maybe it's worth a day on the ward for fluids and an infusion if they'll allow it, because I think low iron can make you feel nauseous, so you could be getting in a catch 22 situation!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 05/03/2025 20:08

Yeah problem is they are so reluctant to admit me for fluids. I have to be weeping dry tears!! Plus they just push more meds... Even though I can't take the sodding things. True but at least they can push some anti emetics IV style! Plus a day in bed sounds lovely 🤰🏻☺️

XioXio · 05/03/2025 20:29

@SnakebitesandSambucas have you tried buccal prochloperazine or the film ondansetron? The buccal one goes on your gum and it dissolves steadily and the film one dissolves on your tongue almost instantly.
Theu work really well to break the cycle of throwing up the anti emetics

SnakebitesandSambucas · 05/03/2025 20:42

I'm on ondasetron. Haven't tried the buccal in a while is it safe during pregnancy? X

XioXio · 05/03/2025 20:47

Yes, they are both ones you can be prescribed in pregnancy. The ondansetron comes in a tablet you swallow or also the film. The film one gets into your system quicker.
Look up the website Pregnancy Sickness Support and there is a good Facebook group too for HG

BrightGoose · 09/03/2025 21:05

Hi I hope everyone is well. I was just reading through my badger net notes and I have noticed that I says I have an intermediate risk of pre term birth and I should be referred to the pre term birth clinic. Had a bit of a google and the reason it gives for an intermediate risk is something that I have so it is correct but now I’m wondering why nothing has been mentioned about this… luckily I have a consultant appointment by telephone tomorrow so I will be asking the questions then but I was wondering if anyone else has had this ?

BodeAkuna · 10/03/2025 15:12

I haven't had this, how did your telephone call go today?
