Saw we hit page 40, so figured I'd get a head start on the next thread just in case!!

Oh gosh, I just thought, there may not be very many more of these threads - I wonder if this one may even be the last?!

HUGE congrats to @MudandMoet on their gorgeous wee one!!
Best of luck on your way home this afternoon/this evening, I'm desperate to ask all about what it was like but I'll avoid that as I don't want anyone to get nervous/anxious about what's to come!!

Super glad you're feeling mostly okay and so so SO happy for you! <3

@PinkWatermelon88 wow, congratulations!! That was a speedy turn around. Enjoy your little bubble 💕

Nimi24 · 19/09/2024 14:49

@tierneytarny I'm booked for my sweep next week, but also hoping for a natural start by then!
Congrats to all who've had their babies!

Is there anyone else on here who didn't hear back about their third trimester bloods from 36/37 weeks? The midwife assured me I would get a call about them regardless of the results. Now it's almost my due date, and still annoyed that there's no info yet. My 38 week appointment was pushed out to 40 week as no midwife availability in my area.

TripleESept24 · 19/09/2024 15:50

Ahhhhh wow that was a quick turnaround @PinkWatermelon88 !!! Congrats enjoy your little girlie 🥹🩷

Things aren't happening so quickly here for me 😓 I'm still waiting and think I'll have to be induced as come 7pm it'll be 24 hours since waters went and we have no action..... I've been bouncing all day and just been on a 40 minute walk!! Going to have a bath soon and then awaiting the call from the hospital with a plan.........

Lillers · 19/09/2024 17:40

Hi all, haven’t posted here for a couple of weeks but I’ve been keeping an eye on the thread. No baby here yet, due next Wednesday but booked in for an induction on Tuesday - 100% my choice as my GD is well controlled so they were happy to let me go for another week, but I’m starting to get very low readings so want to get little madam out sooner rather than later.

Congratulations to everyone who has had their babies, and happy final few days to everyone still waiting to meet their little diamonds.

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 19/09/2024 17:57

@PinkWatermelon88 congratulations! Definitely a successful sweep then how amazing!

@TripleESept24 aaah bless you! I watched a birth vlog just the other day where only 1 of her waters had gone, she went in after the 24 hours for 'induction' and they broke the other waters and she had baby super quick after that with no interventions needed!

Fingers crossed!! They will talk me through my options tonight.......

PinkWatermelon88 · 19/09/2024 18:06

Oh pals I know that wait all too well. Youll get there. I know it feels like forever to wait but it’ll be here before you know it xxxx

kc92 · 19/09/2024 18:15

@PinkWatermelon88 congratulations 🎉 what a quick turnaround!! The midwives told me delivering 90 min after arrival was quick so I can only imagine how shocked they were with you 😂

@TripleESept24 not long until you're smelling your newborns head!! 🙌

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 19/09/2024 18:15

I'm 39+5 today, been getting sooo many braxton hicks since yesterday so hoping my body is doing some sort of change as I've not really had them up until now. I'm a HG sufferer too and my nausea and sickness has increased ALOT this last week, its been horrendous tbh i cant keep much of anything down at all.

I have a MW apt at 40+3 on tuesday...I'm so undecided whether to have a sweep or not 🙈 any opinions on them are welcomed to try help me decide!

PinkWatermelon88 · 19/09/2024 18:26

@BeautyAndTheBump1 i had one at 39w and one at 40+1. The second worked a charm! Second baby though and they say that they’re more favourable second time around. I think it’s like anything though if baby is ready to come they’ll come, sweep or not xxx

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 19/09/2024 18:43

@PinkWatermelon88 Oooh really, it's my 2nd too! I had one at 39+6 with my first then again at 40+5...that one put me into labour but my labour was 36 hours long and I question if the sweep caused that long early labour because my body wasn't quite ready...or if I just would have had a long labour regardless of the sweep. So torn!

PinkWatermelon88 · 19/09/2024 20:31

@BeautyAndTheBump1 i hear that!! Maybe ask your midwife’s advice. If your cervix is favourable or not makes a big difference I think. Good luck with whatever you choose, hope it’s behind you really quick xx

Caroline2023 · 19/09/2024 22:14

Baby girl Isla arrived this afternoon via c section. Enjoying the little bubble 💗💗

Not long left for those still waiting 🥰

WinsandSam · 19/09/2024 22:17

@Caroline2023 congratulations 💕 so exciting!!

I'm in for 7am tomorrow, hoping I won't be last on the list. But this time tomorrow I'll have my little girl with me 😬 terrified and excited. Had lots of cries today.

malimoon · 19/09/2024 22:47

Congratulations @Caroline2023 and good luck @WinsandSam !

Had my last day of work today and couldn't believe I was putting on my out of office for a WHOLE YEAR. Also glad that my decision to work right up until 39 weeks paid off as baby is still safely inside!

TripleESept24 · 20/09/2024 05:22

Morning all, I've not had a great night been here since 8pm last night......

Attempted the dilaplan rods to open my cervix as couldn't break rest of my waters and the lady the night before didn't do "the swab" test to confirm waters had gone, she was just confident they had!! And they couldn't positively swab tonight as I had blood...... but couldn't get dilaplan in !! so I've had a prostin tablet. Checking what that's done at 6am.

Think I am in for a pretty long day, managed a couple hours sleep but not much.....

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Kiwi23 · 20/09/2024 06:22

kc92 · 18/09/2024 08:24

It seems like every family I know has at least one September baby. 🤣

@Kiwi23 & @BakeOffRewatch how are your little ones doing? Have been thinking of you!

@rosieph & @SpicyMoth hope your births went okay. 🤞

We’re doing good she is going amazing had her bloods rechecked yesterday and they have come down loads which is a massive relief. I on other hand struggle with health anixerty and now she is all good iv started panicking about myself as I have to have blood thinners for 6 weeks and socks on I’m constantly checking my legs my chest and back are tite witch I know is because I’m anxious but it’s making me feel worse luckly I’m at doctors today for a review and midwife’s this afternoon xx

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 20/09/2024 06:54

Congratulations @Caroline2023 🥰

Good luck for your section today @WinsandSam you'll be going to bed tonight with baby here!

@TripleESept24 hope your 6am check went okay and things are progressing now 🤞

PinkWatermelon88 · 20/09/2024 07:36

What powerhouses you (we!) all are! Congrats to mams and bibs and good luck to those still on the journey to meeting their treasures today 💕💕

WinsandSam · 20/09/2024 08:52

Thanks for all the good luck wishes. We're on the ward, met the team and just awaiting our turn. They said we'll likely be second but I know that can always change. Nervous/excited/tired etc.

Good luck to you guys having an induction, hope it's a speedy process and baby arrives today

WinsandSam · 20/09/2024 19:18

We did it! C section went well, I didn't panic, it was pain free. Bit tender now but have had some meds which are helping. Up and in a chair now. Off for a wash soon. Baby is a boobie monster 😂 and a snooze monster.

Hope everyone else is doing okay with inductions etc

Congrats all who’ve had a baby these past few days, and @WinsandSam I’m glad your c section went well!

TripleESept24 · 21/09/2024 04:56

Congrats @WinsandSam

Esme Ira finally made it at 12.14am today. Had a rough ride which I can't go over right now, but she was born in theatre by forceps! 8 pounds 6 Oz....... She's just like her Daddy, and just wants to be on me at the moment xx
