Saw we hit page 40, so figured I'd get a head start on the next thread just in case!!

Oh gosh, I just thought, there may not be very many more of these threads - I wonder if this one may even be the last?!

HUGE congrats to @MudandMoet on their gorgeous wee one!!
Best of luck on your way home this afternoon/this evening, I'm desperate to ask all about what it was like but I'll avoid that as I don't want anyone to get nervous/anxious about what's to come!!

Super glad you're feeling mostly okay and so so SO happy for you! <3

I’ve been patiently waiting for the news @TripleESept24 massive congrats on your beautiful girl! Lovely name ❤️ rest up (as best you can!) mama x

Wanderlust86 · 21/09/2024 08:13

Congratulations @Caroline2023 @WinsandSam @TripleESept24

So many babies 🥰

@TripleESept24 I ended up with forceps delivery after a long labour too. I was pretty sore for the first week but was sent home with painkillers which managed it well. I'm at day 10 now and not taking any painkillers. Hopefully you heal quickly. Poor babies wee face was badly bruised after it but it cleared up within a day or 2.

malimoon · 21/09/2024 08:49

Congratulations @TripleESept24 and I love the name!

Caroline2023 · 21/09/2024 09:21

Congratulations @TripleESept24 and @WinsandSam 🥰🥰

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 21/09/2024 10:06

Congratulations to you both @WinsandSam @TripleESept24 😘

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 21/09/2024 10:08

Due date for me today! 🥳 anyone here still pregnant also?! I know there were a couple of people with due dates around mine too but there's been that many babies born I'm lost on who is left now 🤣

Demi55 · 21/09/2024 11:18

Congrats to @TripleESept24 @Caroline2023 @WinsandSam and all who have had their babies but I’ve missed them, sorry I’ve been off a few days!

@BeautyAndTheBump1 my due date is tomorrow and I’m still pregnant! Had 3 unsuccessful sweeps so far! Baby girl is far too comfortable!

malimoon · 21/09/2024 11:46

@BeautyAndTheBump1 I'm still pregnant, my due date is Friday 27 so could end up with an October baby (I hope not tho)

Daphnethinks · 21/09/2024 11:48

Congratulations to all those who have had their babies hope you are enjoying the cuddles and are recovering well 🩷

@BeautyAndTheBump1 my due date is tomorrow and I'm really hoping baby is here this month - so ready to not be pregnant now!!

FuppinNora · 21/09/2024 14:26

Congrats to all those who have had their babies - I've lost track now! Hope you are all doing well. Best of luck for those still pregnant- just think you will all be done in 3 weeks max.

My DS has had been struggling with constipation, at his check up yesterday they recommended 1oz cooled boiled water. Within 20 mins he had been to the toilet - such a simple fix!! I'm going to change from Aptamil over to Cow and Gate though. Hope all the babies are doing good.

tierneytarny · 21/09/2024 16:09

I’m still here and still pregnant too. I’m not due for another 9 days and baby seems
comfy. I’m preparing myself for an October baby though hoping baby appears soon.

Congratulations to all the new arrivals over the last few days. Xx

Kiwi23 · 21/09/2024 20:25

Anyone else who had baby got to have the injections for six weeks and were theys very sexy socks I’m on day 11 of them and they kill me had 3 days were they didn’t hurt and now there killing my again

any advice

Emmaev · 21/09/2024 20:40

Congratulations all on the birth of your beautiful babies!

Our baby girl is now 3 weeks old and has caught out eldest cold. Should have known the first week of school she’d catch something. So feel very bad for my little snuffly baby. Been a lot of cuddles and booby time. I read that breastfeeding is meant to help with colds etc so I’m hoping so. It’s so horrible seeing such a tiny newborn all bunged up

FuppinNora · 21/09/2024 22:04

@Kiwi23 I asked the community midwife about the socks, I only lasted until about day 8 and I whipped them off. I couldn't bare them in the heat. She officially said that to keep them on but that some people once they are up and about and moving generally well take them off. Just to ensure if sitting on couch for a lot one day that you keep moving the feet around. I was only injections for 10 days though so your circumstances may be different.

Wanderlust86 · 22/09/2024 12:24

@Kiwi23 Have you been told you're at a higher risk for blood clots? You only really need ted stockings if your not mobilising much. As long as you are up and about I wouldn't worry about having them on all the time as your also on blood thinners.

WinsandSam · 22/09/2024 13:10

@Kiwi23 I have the injections for ten days but no socks. Cut them off this morning for a shower and not given more. My feet are so swollen 😂

Cinai2 · 22/09/2024 13:37

I didn’t even get socks after my c section…I asked if I need them but was told that the evidence of them making a difference after Caesarian’s when a patient is mobile is limited and they stopped giving them to patients. Private hospital in London. I do have 10 days of blood thinning injections.

Kiwi23 · 22/09/2024 16:56

The socks aren’t to bad I forget iv got them on tbh it’s the injections they hurt so much.
I scored a 3 on scale so have to have them for six weeks and I know it’s only a two seconds injection but they kill iv only been doing them in my stomach I can’t bring myself to do it In my leg.. my husband has to do them I can’t do it xx

RosiePH · 22/09/2024 17:47

I’ve been finding the injections okay but I’ve discovered my stomach is really numb above the c-section incision so there is a bit of a sweet spot to inject in. I’ve only got 2 days left now. Was told to keep the stockings on for 10 days and I can’t wait to remove those.

question about c-section recovery: I’m on day 7 now and my lochia is still bright red although not very heavy. Is that okay? Also have a bit of bladder irritation and trapped wind started yesterday.

WinsandSam · 22/09/2024 20:54

@RosiePH the trapped wind is awful!! Nothing is helping me. I feel like I'm being stabbed in the stomach and might be sick 🤢 absolutely agony. All I was given in hospital was peppermint water. All I really need is to fart 😂😂 like 50 million times

WinsandSam · 22/09/2024 20:56

@Kiwi23 the injections haven't been too bad in the hospital. They've been doing them in my leg though. I was also advised that if they do hurt, hold ice on the site beforehand to numb it. The things we have to do!

FuppinNora · 22/09/2024 21:33

I did them in my leg also - mid way between knee and thigh where I have fat. Nurse told me not to do in stomach as I'd be tender.

@RosiePH Did the blood change colour at all? I was told it would be fresh for few days and then slowly change to brown and then streaky. They said if it came back fresh to contact GP. I'm nearly 4 weeks postpartum and today was first day no pad. It has been brown for maybe 2 weeks now I think.

RosiePH · 23/09/2024 07:26

@WinsandSam hope you’ve got some relief overnight!! Mine doesn’t feel so bad now. I thought I’d escaped it altogether!

@FuppinNora from a lovely bit of googling, I think it would actually count as light red rather than bright red. Seems to be getting very light now though and more pinky so I think it’s probably all fine!
