Have been really craving this yet didn't realise it doesn't say pasteurized egg for the mayonnaise, would this be safe to eat? From Lidl

Yea this is fine.

I've been having poached eggs every morning 🤣

@UncharteredWaters sorry to hear that, how are you feeling? Hopefully all precautionary for you. X

UncharteredWaters · 10/10/2024 22:21

@8weekscrossed thank you for asking. we’ve gone away for the weekend which is a distraction but I feel I can’t talk or think about baby things incase it all goes wrong.

I spoke to a friend via text who very matter of factly said ‘oh my baby has no X and y for a week’ it actually really helped because she’s fine and it made it seem really common.

It was a consultant scan and she just kind of abruptly ended it saying ‘right we haven’t got a, b and c - come back’ but not much else. I should have asked more questions. She probably wasn’t worried but yeah it wasn’t great communication.

How are you feeling? What day is your repeat? And do you know what they do if they can’t get an image at the next one?

Just to jump in here, I asked at my re scan what happens if they don't get the pics as the baby was being awkward again, and he just kind of shrugged and said 'nothing, we just try to get them but if not, that's that' like he wasn't very concerned. He did get them in the end. But just to answer your question there. It doesn't necessarily mean there are any problems, it's just that they literally couldn't see to take the pictures due to the way baby is lying on the day. Sending love, try not to drive yourself mad with worry.

Hi ladies, happy Friday. I've recently started to feel movements properly, it's been start stop and a bit more consistent the last few days. But this afternoon/evening can't really notice any. It's early still 23 weeks Sunday and I imagine it's a bit inconsistent feeling movements at this point? But I'm sitting worrying doing my head in now! There's no routine enquiry line here over the weekend.

Mine have been fairly inconsistent across the board no real pattern and I'm fairly sure she's changed position as when I have felt something it's not as strong. Liklihood is they've moved and now means you can't feel them as much.

I know they don't really do much to check before 28 weeks because baby is still so small so maybe keep an eye out for a day or so. I think they recommend trying a cold drink or lying on your side see if any of those work?!

SBelfast · 11/10/2024 22:09

Thanks @elb1504 that helps. Yeh I imagine that could be the case as three weeks ago I felt my first kicks then nothing at all for over a week and I got a scan as was in being checked for this annoying rash and midwife said babies so small you'll drive yourself nuts worrying about movements at this point. Hard not too though at the same time! So much to be anxious about in pregnancy! Eek lol. ❤

Thank you - A good friend told me this, that after their second attempt they didn’t try to get them again.

ive got a private scan booked as well - just because the delay is so long.

I can only ever feel mine if I lie on my stomach, might be worth a try.
So hard at this stage because it’s a different worry to the early days and yet not near enough to delivery to be able to relax.

QuantumPanic · 12/10/2024 08:12

@SBelfast It is nerve wracking. I've had one very quiet day (unusual now, as I've had movement every day from about 20 weeks) but did get some small movements right at the end of the day which were enough to stop me from calling in. I think she must have been turned towards my back.

I'm almost 24 weeks now and movement is getting higher and a bit harder to detect - I guess because there's more stomach fat in the way to muffle things. Lying flat on my back is still the best way to feel definitive thumping.

SBelfast · 12/10/2024 08:50

Thanks @UncharteredWaters @QuantumPanic really appreciate that. I've calmed myself down, although I was up at 5.30 googling how to make babies move inutero 😂
Played him 'funky town' a few times and he either liked it or was irritated at the noise that early as I managed to generate a few movements lol.
Hopefully it is just he's moved into a different position, just feels weird after more noticeable consistent movements throughout the day to it being quieter.
I'd probably not even have known this was something to worry about except the midwife at my booking appointment talked about it at length for 2 mins as something to look out for and put the fear into me. With good reason of course but I'm a bit of an irrational worrier with a big imagination! Dangerous combination 😊

Lidlisthebusiness · 12/10/2024 10:48

@SBelfast at this point, babies aren't developed enough to maintain any routine movements, it's all very sporadic and I would definitely say nothing to worry about. They obviously sleep more especially if you're moving around, and their energy levels can depend on if you've eaten recently, so it may be that they're just a but weary sometimes. In a few more weeks, you might start to notice a pattern develop though.

SBelfast · 12/10/2024 11:08

Thanks @Lidlisthebusiness really appreciate the message! Really appreciate this forum in general, I'd have been in a spiral of worry all weekend without it 💜

Lidlisthebusiness · 12/10/2024 12:30

For those that have already had babies, I'm looking at bouncers, and before now we've just had the basic ones. There are so many now that swing, bounce, recline etc. automatically that I'm wondering if there's any recommendations for one?

8weekscrossed · 12/10/2024 19:41

@UncharteredWaters @Redapple21 thank you both for your replies. I’ve got my follow up scan Monday morning so will let you know how it goes.

Hope everyone is ok. We are looking at space saver cots as our littlest two will be sharing a room, they look so small! 🥹

autumnbake · 13/10/2024 11:41

Goodluck to all those who have repeat scans next week. I had my repeat on Wednesday and it felt like the longest wait of my life!💐

In terms of movement, I've been feeling baby from around 17/18 weeks (posterior placenta), and DH has felt her move a fair few times now too (!). She does have quieter days than others. If i'm feeling particularly worried/nervous I eat some chocolate or have some ice cold orange squash, lie down in bed and that gets her moving eventually, although she's usually more active at night than anything. I'm 22w 2 days for reference, so shouldn't be feeling any patterns for a good few more weeks yet.

mills81 · 13/10/2024 16:01

Hey all, just wondering if there is a fb group? I'm due 6th March but my first was 9 days early so hoping this one will also be early and be a feb baby 🤞 I'm in a March group but it's not active at all and I really valued the support and friendships from the Mumsnet fb group with my first so would love that again this time round!

Ladies...hands up who has heartburn. I escaped sickness but heartburn has came at me....anyway long story short. Sent hubby to shop today for Gaviston, he got chatting to a lady and said it was for his pregnant wife....she said put those back and get her love hearts.

Who has heard lovehearts are a thing for heartburn relief?!? Holy smokes, talk about small mercies 🤣 anyway, me being me I googled it and its a legitimate thing! Apparently it's got bicarbonate soda in it or something. Wohoooooo. Thought I'd pass on the love ❤️

QuantumPanic · 13/10/2024 19:14

@TTCagain85 I had it on and off for a couple of weeks. Just ate lots of Rennie's. The spearmint ones are pretty tasty.

Lidlisthebusiness · 13/10/2024 19:45

@mills81 here you go, it's not overly active at the moment but might pick up as we all get further in to things!

I haven’t joined the Facebook group yet until I tell everyone else and maybe work as well 😂

Ladies, I have found possibly the comfiest thing to wear and it feels rude to keep it to myself. If I'm not at work, I live in gym leggings and mine were all starting to get uncomfortable around my ever expanding belly. So I took myself to Primark with the intention to just get some joggers a few sizes up, but I found what I can only describe as a maternity unitard. Really nice thick gym leggings with a literal pouch for your belly to fit in and straps over your shoulders. 10/10 would recommend. It's just a faff every time you need a wee (which in my case is a lot) haha xx

It’s a private group it won’t appear on your timeline ‘Uncharted Waters has join ‘Feb 25 babies’ group’ 😂😂😂 if that eases your mind!

I heard this too, love hearts made it worse for me! After weeks crying at night swigging gaviscon from the bottle I finally got some omeprazole and pure relief was found!
