So we’ve been TTC baby #2 for 5 months. Had a positive test in April that sadly ended in a chemical pregnancy. So this is cycle 3 since then and got a very faint positive on an internet cheapie last night at 9dpo. I went out and bout a CB digital today and have got my BFP confirmed today on it 😊
My EDD is 4th April 2025 going from LMP and cycle length.
I’m aware it’s very early days and anything can happen that’s why I’ve decided not to tell anyone I know until after my period is due which is Friday. Just can’t keep it to myself and would love for others to join and talk to who have recently found out they are expecting in April 2025!

@ievs it depends where in London you are. I wouldn't suggest travelling really far away as in an emergency you want to be able to get there quite quickly.

Badassbreastfeeder85 · 07/08/2024 08:17

@CharlotteRae I don't think its worse no whichnis why inwont go a&e, but i also have no symptoms so I just want to know if I'm pregnant or not, I have a private scan booked for 2 weeks time but seems an eternity away, the epu says appointment only but they don't answer when u call and gp won't refer, how's your bleeding?

CharlotteRae · 07/08/2024 10:35

It's so shit isn't it, nothing we can do but wait which seems so cruel! My EPU can't get me in til Monday, to be honest I don't feel pregnant anymore, nausea has gone and boobs aren't as tender. So weird though as bleeding as dipped now so back to being like a light period. Didn't pass anything other than blood so maybe things hadn't developed at all so nothing to pass? So strange x

CharlotteRae · 07/08/2024 10:36

I agree with you though, I wouldn't go to A and E unless I thought my life was at risk or that they could help in some way which of course they can't with early pregnancy. It's just the waiting game. I'm never testing this early again though that's for sure (she says 😂)

My EPU goes on GP referral too if I rememberly rightly. I’m surprised that no one is helping you, I understand it’s very early days but even just being acknowledged by EPU would be something. What was the reason the GP have given that they won’t refer you? I feel for you, it’s a horrible stressful time of unknown and waiting.

The receptionist basically didn't know how to help, I've since had a text from gp to say to contact epu myself

@CharlotteRae @Badassbreastfeeder85 So sorry you're going through this with the bleeding. It's so rubbish waiting when you're feeling like this. Got everything crossed for you both 💜 💜

Ilovemycat13 · 07/08/2024 16:21

Hi all!

Can I join? Got my positive last week, I am around 4 weeks 4 days give or take. EDD 12/4/25. First baby at 33 but first pregnancy was when I was 16 which I don’t remember overly well.

Feeling a bit out of the loop really as I just don’t feel anything is happening as such early days! Even early reassurance scans are from 6 weeks.

I had HG at 16 but I think it started around 6 weeks. This waiting is horrendous!

Congratulations everyone! Xx

Hopefulmummie · 07/08/2024 17:54

@Badassbreastfeeder85 I would just be careful as I didn't have bleeding with my ectopic just sharp pain off and on and out of hours advised me to go to A&e which I did who confirmed ectopic pregnancy

Congratulations to everyone! What a great group! My EDD is 4th April 2024. It's my first pregnancy, so I’m both very excited and a little scared :)

How did you all, future and current mummies, choose your hospital? Any recommendations in London?

I'm feeling excited and scared too! What are of London are you in? I'm in SW and chose Kingston as it's my nearest and didn't fancy being stuck in traffic in labour. I read some reviews online and they all sounded good!

Hi Effiex08! Amazing! Congratulations! Is it your first one? I am also in SW London, and I self-referred to Westminster and Chelsea and hoping they will be good :)

We were torn between those two. A few colleagues went to Chelsea and Westminster and had really good experiences. Yes it's my first. Seems we are quite close by and due at a similar time! Happy to chat on messages if you like 😁

Hi everyone 👋
Joining this thread as I’ve just got my BFP this afternoon. No symptoms whatsoever but AF was no show so tested and line came up so fast! EDD 14/05/25. Excited and nervous as this is my first. Done my self referral so just playing the waiting game now…

LottieW93 · 08/08/2024 07:14

@Badassbreastfeeder85 @CharlotteRae so sorry you’re going through this. Sending you both so much love and positivity.. I have everything crossed for you. I think it’s awful the way EPU treat you when going through this. I’ve been through it myself and they just treat you as a number. I really hope you both get the help you need - and we are always all here for you to speak to. Xx

rlar · 08/08/2024 07:35

@ievs @Effiex08 fellow SW Londoner here!

I self referred from my GP website and my two options were Chelsea & Westminster or West Middlesex. We’ve gone for West Mid as it’s closer to us. My mum was also born there (maybe at the old site?) which is nice 😊

Pix89 · 08/08/2024 08:04

Tentatively joining at estimated 5w and 1 day. EDD 9th April.
Sending love and hope to all of you lovely ladies. I have a 2.5 year old boy.
Symptoms so far: full & tender boobs, nausea after eating, a few slight twinges when I sit weird, move quickly from seated to standing and violently sneezing lol.
I'm so impatient! 1st scan on NHS not booked until 4th Oct...hopefully when I go back to work next week the weeks will start going a little quicker.

CharlotteRae · 08/08/2024 08:11

@Badassbreastfeeder85 @Kaybubs
Thankyou, I actually caved yesterday and went for a private scan as my bleeding suddenly stopped, and I knew I hadn't passed a pregnancy. They referred me straight back to EPU with suspected rare type of ectopic where the pregnancy attaches to c section scar 😳 have appointment at 11am with consultant today. Really hope it's not that and it's just low down as it's on its way out. Worried x

IVFlife · 08/08/2024 08:41

Hi @Pix89 we have the same EDD. I have also been getting the weird pains when I sneezy or move quickly. It sounds very like round ligament pain but surely it's far too early for that?!!! My 1st scan is 2 weeks and 6 days away but that's because I have had ivf and we have that scan before we get discharged from the clinic. My nhs scan is just a few days before yours. Do you have your booking appointment?

I woke up with reflux this morning but thay might be more about the bread I ate last night.

I've been have a really odd thing last few days - lip/chin has been feeling twitchy in the morning. You know when your eye twitches? Like that but my lip?! Anyone else had that. Google initially freaked me out but then when you add the word pregnancy to the search there are lots of women saying the same!

Pix89 · 08/08/2024 08:48

@IVFlife I also think it's a little early for round ligament pain...may just be everything stretching! Booking appointment is 11th September. I've had reflux as well the past few days mixed with the nausea...I didn't have any sickness and not much nausea in my last pregnancy.
Not had any twitchy lips - doesn't pregnancy do weird things to your body lol

IVFlife · 08/08/2024 08:54

@CharlotteRae thinking of you at 11 x

Lovedatforme · 08/08/2024 09:44

@CharlotteRae Thinking of you today x

I saw my consultant today, I'm 5+2 and she could see the sac through abdominal scan which they couldn't the last time I had the MC so that's a positive. She's bringing me back in next week again.

She's put me on progesterone pessaries, is anyone else on these?

IVFlife · 08/08/2024 09:58

@Lovedatforme yes I have been on those since 5 days before my ivf transfer. I take them 3x a day. Have you do to do them vaginally or rectally? They can be quite messy but I honestly don't find them that bad. It's just part of my routine now. I lay down for a while after they are in.

Hopefulmummie · 08/08/2024 10:36

Is anyone else from NI? It's been on the news that there is delays ATM with booking appointments and 1st scans and women aren't getting scanned until 16 weeks :(
I'll definitely be booking a private scan before this even after my early scan on Monday 16 weeks is a long time to wait

YellowBloom · 08/08/2024 11:00
