So we’ve been TTC baby #2 for 5 months. Had a positive test in April that sadly ended in a chemical pregnancy. So this is cycle 3 since then and got a very faint positive on an internet cheapie last night at 9dpo. I went out and bout a CB digital today and have got my BFP confirmed today on it 😊
My EDD is 4th April 2025 going from LMP and cycle length.
I’m aware it’s very early days and anything can happen that’s why I’ve decided not to tell anyone I know until after my period is due which is Friday. Just can’t keep it to myself and would love for others to join and talk to who have recently found out they are expecting in April 2025!

@gg9320 good luck for tomorrow. I hope it all goes well.

Mummy2925 · 29/03/2025 20:37

Anyone on here measuring big for no reason ? My baby was on the 66th centile at 30 weeks and has now shot up to the 94th centile at 36 weeks (97th for height) was in for reduced movements hence the scan and all was perfect and nothing was mentioned about the growth and now I’m a bit panicked , have a routine appointment on Wednesday and am wondering will they bring my section date forward 🫣

gg9320 · 29/03/2025 21:11

@Mummy2925 yes, mine shot up from 50th to 79th for weight and 58th to 97th for abdomen but they weren’t bothered in the slightest in the scan, just said your baby will have a lovely big tummy 😅. I did query if gestational diabetes was of concern but again they weren’t worried (midwife even checked with the head consultant of the diabetes in pregnancy team after I raised it). My planned c section at 39+ 4 wasn’t changed.

Mummy2925 · 29/03/2025 23:27

@gg9320 thank you for your reply 💕 I’ve been worrying baby might run out of space 🫣😫

Allswellthatendswelll · 30/03/2025 06:33

Jealous of people with sections planned at 39 weeks! Mine is on my due date which is about a week more of pregnancy then I'd like! Wondering if it might be early though as it feels like I'm running out of room in there.

hopeful4us · 30/03/2025 09:08

Thinking of you today @gg9320 !!

gg9320 · 30/03/2025 23:10

@Mummy2925 baby boy turned out to be >99% birth weight 😅🤣 he’s a staggering 1.5kg heavier than his sister was. I can promise he didn’t ever run out of space, though my stomach felt very tight. I’m pretty sure I had undiagnosed gestational diabetes now!

Mummy2925 · 31/03/2025 00:42

@gg9320 im thinking the same as I wasn’t tested for gestational diabetes despite asking twice but don’t meet the criteria 🫣 was your lo okay after birth ? Just a concern of mine is if I did have gestational diabetes and it wasn’t controlled will baby be okay 🥺

gg9320 · 31/03/2025 01:22

@Mummy2925 yeah, he’s all good :) I think the only impact was on his size. We watched out for signs of low blood sugar like shakes but he was absolutely fine

Congratulations!

So exciting these babies are arriving!

I have another few weeks I'm so over being pregnant my indigestion is pretty bad.

Nicalo2019 · 31/03/2025 08:42

Thursday planned section for me! Can't come quick enough!

TheBeesKnee · 31/03/2025 09:49

Sorry to put a dampener on things but one of my concerns with GDM is the increased risk of the baby developing T2 diabetes in later life if it's not managed during pregnancy. That scares me more than the idea of a high birth weight etc.

@Nicalo2019 oh how exciting! Bet that feels like it's snuck up out of nowhere! Are you ready/packed etc? Are you doing anything nice on Wednesday night?

Nicalo2019 · 31/03/2025 12:38

About a month ago I was like wow she's nearly here now it feels like it's dragging! Just getting so hard trying to do things will be glad when she is here! Nothing planned may see if we can get out for lunch in the afternoon, then need to sort son out at sister in law's for his sleepover for few nights!

Think I am all ready, I have a hospital bag packed however I am sure I have missed something. We are quite laid-back with the second and have just said if we forget something Amazon delivery next day and Asda is just down road!

Xx

Congratulations @gg9320 - hoping to hear more announcements soon!

Just had my 39-week growth scan and our baby has dropped percentile again (56th at anomaly scan and now 21st). Femur measurement was normal, as is fluid & cord. They were unable to get measurement of head as she’s so far into my pelvis so it’s the stomach which is causing some alarm. Got a consultant appointment tomorrow and I know they’ll suggest induction. I know I do not want an induction - want to discuss whether expectant management is an option. If baby needs to come out, I’d rather a c-section but preference would be for natural delivery (obviously only if baby isn’t at risk). Anyone had experience with rejecting induction for similar reasons?

Lcw29 · 01/04/2025 09:35

Congratulations @gg9320 so happy for you!

I'm now 37 weeks but feeling really cranky today lol. I've been in and out of hospital for checks which so far have all been fine but waiting on a pre eclampsia blood test from yesterday as I had protein in urine and I've not been feeling great. Just feeling irritable now and had a bad night as I'm uncomfortable. I also feel very sick! Sorry for rant!

I'm afraid @hopeful4us the only experience ive had is an induction that ended in c section as my body wouldn't progress at all. Saying that, they offered for me to try the induction again after a few days but I said I'd rather get baby out by that point so chose the section. I was 39 weeks.

Mummy2925 · 01/04/2025 10:10

Happy baby month everyone 💙🩷❤️

HeyLovee · 04/04/2025 20:42

39 + 5 today and although anxious I just want it to happen now! These last few days waiting are so hard! Hope everyone is coping ok and wishing you all safe and wonderful births 💕

Lcw29 · 05/04/2025 00:47

Well our little girl has been born . Friday 4th via c section. Had some spotting and constant tightening. Was monitored but decided that was safer to deliver. She's a Diddy 5lbs 8 . Currently in NICU as was struggling a little with breathing but she's doing well. 37 weeks plus 3 days. :)

So many congratulations @lcw29 That's lovely to hear!!
My little boy (number 2) was born on weds 2nd. Planned c section. He was 7 pounds 3 but looks v. Tiny compared to big bro. Currently a v.sleepy baby but checking with midwives about it all today.

If I can help with any questions please shout. Got to admit- feeling rather rusty after a 5 year gap!

Dojo13 · 05/04/2025 05:46

@Lcw29 @Oxforddictionary12 congratulations to you both 🥰

I'm ok although feeling sore this morning. I managed to get into a wheelchair to see girlie . They've given pain relief so just need to keep on top of it. I'm starving though! Can't wait for breakfast

Oxforddictionary12 · 05/04/2025 07:33

Alright thank you! Enjoying all the snuggles. Feeling very sore, can't deny it. The adrenaline and everything has worn off now. Nothing that won't be able to heal- just got to be patient!

There was 11 between my 1st and 2nd! There will be just 2 years between 2 and 3 when it decides to make an appearance
