So we’ve been TTC baby #2 for 5 months. Had a positive test in April that sadly ended in a chemical pregnancy. So this is cycle 3 since then and got a very faint positive on an internet cheapie last night at 9dpo. I went out and bout a CB digital today and have got my BFP confirmed today on it 😊
My EDD is 4th April 2025 going from LMP and cycle length.
I’m aware it’s very early days and anything can happen that’s why I’ve decided not to tell anyone I know until after my period is due which is Friday. Just can’t keep it to myself and would love for others to join and talk to who have recently found out they are expecting in April 2025!

Congratulations! Really sweet scan!

When you said DD I thought you meant Dear Daughter not Due Date! 😂 I thought you might have found out even this early with a NIPT!

We’re thinking we’re gonna go for the NIPT due to me being 34 and I can’t believe we can find out the sex this early. But not sure we want to! Anyone else going for the NIPT soon?

I did sneak peek at 6 weeks and found out what I’m having xx

SomethingDifferentBloomed · 10/09/2024 21:10

We’re thinking of going for the NIPT too. I might wait until after I’ve had my combined screening though, because apparently if that comes back as a raised risk you can get the NIPT on the NHS. So I was thinking I might wait and see what the combined screening says, and then if that shows a low risk probably do the NIPT privately around 14 weeks.. but today I was thinking I might just do it at 10 weeks. So I’ll probably do it but I’m undecided on the timing!

When are you planning to do it?

I’ll probably do it as soon as they’re able to do it reliably (10 weeks?) to either max out the time being reassured (to justify the hundreds of pounds) as I’m already a bit anxious or, if a condition is detected, we have more time to discuss with the relevant medical professionals. I pray that won’t be the case of course.

Oh wow! So many Qs! 😂 How did you feel when you found out? I have a daughter and we found out at the 20 week scan. So no fuss but still so special for me and my DH although we didn’t care either way - same this time round. I think the sex reveals are lovely btw but both my husband and I hated being the centre of attention on our wedding day! 😂

Also how reliable is the test? How is it done?! I heard you have to be careful with boy DNA not contaminating it or something?! Science is amazing.

Whenyoupickapawpaw · 10/09/2024 22:29

@flor88 yep, I'm having the NIPT and my first scan on Saturday. Excited but nervous and anxious. I'll probably ask them to include the sex test - may as well lol. I chose to do the NIPT as I'm away during the weeks where the NHS could do a combined test so will miss it, and I wanted the reassurance before I go!

Get your money’s worth by finding out, even if you just hide the piece of paper until you absolutely cannot wait a second longer! 😂

Reassurance is priceless.

Wishing you all the best with the scan and test. 🙏🏼

I have also heard you have to be careful of male DNA. I went to my mum’s and she helped me and we scoured hands, nails and everything. It’s come back a girl, so definitely wasn’t contaminated haha! Hoping 16 week private scan will confirm (better be, I’ve bought a million pink clothes). Apparently sneak peek is 99.9% accurate. Xx

@flor88 thank you, and you when you have it x

I went to the epu this morning due to intense pain on my lower right side. It’s measuring 7+6 with a heartbeat. I should be 8+0 from tracking ovulation so pretty much on track. Still early days but it’s nice to know it’s not ectopic.

I have previously had a mmc and then my son.

That’s really positive news. How are you feeling now? Are you still in pain?

I’m feeling hopeful at the minute. I have had mild cramps since I first conceived. However the intense pain has only been the last few days, the sonographer couldn’t see anything wrong with my tube or ovary and the pregnancy was in the uterus. Maybe it’s my bowel or linked to constipation? I don’t have the pain all the time, it’s occassional and for 5-10minutes before it goes away. So far it happens 2-3 times a day.

Hi hope it's okay to join I've been lurking in the background 😅
We conceived our 1st baby via IVF and frozen embryo transfer in August. I have today had my 7 week scan and they confirmed my due date as 27th April!
We are super excited.
I've got nausea but been lucky not been sick yet.
Looking forward to getting some hints and tips from you all along the way 🥰

Rbear9 · 12/09/2024 20:33

Hi everyone, I went for an early private scan and was measuring a few days ahead (8 weeks instead of 7+4) which would now make me 8 weeks 5 days, I’ve notified the hospital trust my care will be under but I still haven’t heard anything from the midwife and I have absolutely not idea when my booking appointment will be? Anyone else in the same boat? It feels like they’re taking ages to get in touch!

Huge congratulations to you, how exciting! I’ve had nausea too but threw up for the first time this morning!

hopeful4us · 12/09/2024 22:29

@Rbear9 I feel I’ve had to do quite a bit of chasing. I completed a self referral but still hadn’t heard about my booking appt at 8 weeks so I rang up and go all the information within 2 days. Saw my midwife for the first time last week and mentioned I didn’t have a scan date, she gave me a number and hey presto, scan is now booked in! Hope you hear soon as it makes it real and way more exciting

Thank you so much, I tried the hospital today but they told me to call back Monday, so hopefully I’ll be able to get a date for my appointment and scan then! I’m so excited, I can’t wait to see how baby has grown when we get our next scan!

Hblooby · 16/09/2024 12:14

Any one else still suffering with nausea!? I'm 10w 5d today and although I'm much better than I was I'm still feeling nauseous 70% of the day I'm worse if I drink something I've tried everything baby no.5 and I've never been this bad thank goodness this is our last!

I’m with you. Much better than I was but still suffering nausea and heartburn. First scan is booked for the 30th so I’m holding on to that and hoping I’ll be feeling better by the time it comes around.

Same still so nauseous, absolutely exhausted too. We were away for the weekend with our 11mo and I feel even more tired after it 😴

Lcw29 · 19/09/2024 09:06

I'm 9 weeks today and I'm so exhausted! I didn't feel this tired with my other two. Anyone know when this should pass? Taking my son to school is doing me in alone atm. I just want to do nothing all day but I can't.

Flor88 · 19/09/2024 10:49

Absolutely floored with fatigue and just generally feeling crap too ladies. 8 weeks +2 here

Hopefulmummie · 19/09/2024 13:01

Has anyones baby measured slightly small at 12 week scan and have to go back for a rescan the week after?

Has anyones baby measured slightly small at 12 week scan and have to go back for a rescan the week after?

I did with my first, I was measuring 10.5 weeks but knew I’d ovulated a lot later that month. Went back a week and half later and all was fine

Has anyones baby measured slightly small at 12 week scan and have to go back for a rescan the week after?

With my 1st I measured 11 weeks and 3 days which is the earliest they can do the measurements, so I just got in! They'd have been expecting me to be 12+2 though, but because I'd been for a couple of private scans I knew I was measuring behind! 😊

I think I will to be honest my scan is next Wednesday when by 1st day of last period I will be dead on 12 weeks, but I know we didn't start trying until the 17th July and tested positive on the 31st July so I'm expecting to get put back by a week

Gnatalie16 · 19/09/2024 21:07

I'm really struggling with the nausea and finding foods I enjoy. Everything I eat just tastes rubbish and I really don't look forward to dinners 😭 anyone got any tips to help this I'm starting to get upset as I used to love dinners but I'm just not at the moment. I'm 8+4 please someone tell me it should come to an end soon!
