37 weeks today!
How's everyone's bumps coming along?
I'm absolutely flummoxed at how I could possibly get any bigger?!!

On a side note, do we know for sure whether stretch marks are definitely genetic or if there's anything you can do to help them?
I thought I was so lucky in not getting them, but this last month or so they've sprung up out of nowhere bang in the middle of my tummy despite religious moisturising with multiple different brands multiple times a day - So gutted!

@SpicyMoth I have no advice about getting rid of stretch marks, but I also thought I was getting away with it until my husband pointed out that mine are all under my bump where I couldn’t see them! I then look in the mirror and yep, there they are - they look like a horrible stubble rash coming up from my knicker line!

That's exactly where mine are too funnily enough!!
Though mine look more like someone's tried to draw a beard on my belly with purple felt tip pen than stubble - fancy swapping? 😂🙈

@SpicyMoth @Lillers My dermatologist said they are totally genetic (I had to see one as I have pregnancy prurigo, gotta love those pregnancy hormones wreaking havoc on my body lol). She also said a lot of the hydration your skin needs comes from inside i.e. no point slathering yourself in cream if you are not also drinking lots of water.

I am really starting to worry about eating leftovers at the moment! It’s been so warm lately that food hasn’t been getting down to a suitable temp for freezing until about 2 hours after we’ve eaten. We’ve then been freezing it as usual, ready to defrost and reheat.

Normally I wouldn’t give this a second thought but I’m a bit worried at the moment! Made a spag Bol the other day and then a chicken stew tonight. They were both on the kitchen counter cooling for 2 hours before freezing and now I’m second guessing whether it’s actually okay for me to eat them.

Little lady was born this afternoon at 37+1. It was quite a scary birth in the end which I won’t go into as I don’t want to scare any other mums. I’ve spent the past couple of hours crying as it’s all hit me like a ton of bricks and I’m sad my husband has had to go home as I really need him

@Martibum @MrsMoggy congratulations on your gorgeous arrivals! 🫶🏻

Sweep day for me today, hair appointment immediately after. So if this sweep does anything (which I'm guessing it won't from people I've heard from about them) I hope it's after a few hours at least!

Just wondering if anyone has been induced due to high blood pressure alone? Mines been fluctuating quite wildly for 3 weeks. Peaking at around 150/98, I’ve been sent to triage 3 times due to this, it does however after a bp series go down to around 130/86 which is still high for me but in normal range. I haven’t been put on any tablets, but do have a history of pre eclampsia. I’ve got another bp and urine check tomorrow, and I just know it’s going to be high again. What happens now if it remains high? Will I be started on tablets or due to being full term now will they just induce me if it becomes too high?

Xur · 14/08/2024 11:25
