@SpicyMoth also I seen a chiropractor last time and that did give me some relief but other than that nothing helped except the baby coming out. I felt instantly better and it was gone completely within a week or so.

Awh that's such a relief to hear, I really hope to have the same or a similar experience!! 🤘

Honestly I'd had such respect and care for the elderly before, but as this pregnancy has progressed I've just been coming across more and more arseholes and they're almost ALWAYS the elderly, it's becoming very difficult not to let it cloud my judgement when out and about - The amount I've seen like you say, becoming visibly annoyed at just little kids being little kids is crazy to me too!

It's like they've forgotten what it's like to be parents of toddlers or even just new parents or going through pregnancy with a partner in general? It's sad to see, it really is!
You'd expect understanding in exchange for them also getting understanding, but nope!!

I may have to look into a chiropractor to be honest at some point, would you say it was worth it or not so much?

at this point, I would have banged on the door and said something 🙈

Lillers · 02/08/2024 17:26

@SpicyMoth I really appreciated my midwife the other day - she asked if I had any aches and pains, I said yes and she said, “Hmm that sounds like PGP. Do you want any medication? Painkillers or anything?” I said no because mine isn’t really that bad, but I love how she didn’t BS around with all the self-help remedies and went straight to, “fancy some drugs?” 😂

Cat2022 · 02/08/2024 18:27

@SpicyMoth It really did give me relief so even just one treatment might help you. I have seen one this time as I felt tight in my lower back and was scared PGP was starting and also baby was breech and after two sessions my backs better and baby is head down. I probably won’t keep going regularly as it’s expensive but was worth it and reassuring to feel aligned before birth.

SpicyMoth · 02/08/2024 20:12

Thanks ladies, money's a bit tight atm but I'll deffo give it a look and see if it's possible to keep some extra money aside next pay day before baby! <3

Sorry to hear some of you are struggling with PGP. What exactly does it feel like?

As for me, I went to the emergency unit today and they have given me anti biotics for a urine infection and I also have to do the glucose test again as I just slightly failed the one hour test. Now I have to do the 3 hour, which I am not looking forward to!!

In the meantime I am trying to be conscious of what I am eating just incase!

Overall I am feeling better that I have seen a doctor to check my bloods and things are happening when they should have happened weeks ago!!

37 degrees here in Spain today.. it’s hot 🥵

SpicyMoth · 02/08/2024 21:43

@UnicornRainbow2 can only speak for myself but it's almost unbearable for me pain wise right now - It's like.. right on the pubic mound radiating all the way to the back of my pelvis and also the inner thigh muscles (those two big thick ones you feel when you stretch legs akimbo).
Left hip and left side of pelvis is worse than the other too.

It feels like I've been punched right in the front of my crotch by someone wearing a cast iron glove. If I didn't know any better I'd say it felt like my pelvis was slowly breaking in two.
It's gone from pops and grinding to outright cracks and turning in bed is absolute agony. I genuinely feel like I need a hoist lol :') And to walk feels like I need crutches.

For me it's easier to turn in bed from right side to left side than it is left side to right side - absolutely no idea why though!
Oh, and co-codamol isn't doing shit for the pain anymore :')
There's pretty much no point in taking the damn things!

@UnicornRainbow2 pleased you have some antibiotics for the infection and have finally been seen. 🤞🏼 the glucose test is okay when you do that x

SantasRubiksCube · 03/08/2024 11:10

Is anyone else suffering from recurring thrush? I tried the pessery and cream which seemed to help, but it came back. I used the rest of the cream in the tube which again helped, now it's come back 😞 I've tried to get hold of a GP all week but it's been impossible and the pharmacy refused to advise as I'm pregnant so feel like I'm stuck dealing with it on my own buying treatment off the shelf. I know it can be common in pregnancy (I had it before in previous pregnancy) but not where it seems to persistently come back

TripleESept24 · 03/08/2024 13:53

Started hospital bags today. Babies is done, mine just needs comfy going home outfit, phone charger, nursing bras (haven't bought yet!) toiletries and towel!! Oh and snacks 🤣 all last min things really!

We put the pram together yesterday 🥰 just need to test the isofix and car seat! all starting to feel very real now!

What am I supposed to bring with me to soothe my bits after 😂 I know it has been mentioned here before but I didn't rake much notice as presumed I'd be having c section. That's looking unlikely now so 🙈 panic is setting in

MudandMoet · 03/08/2024 15:32

@FuppinNora do you mean the spritz for bits spray. I have that in the hope it'll soothe down there after. I also got a tube of Aloe Vera gel as I saw a reel with a woman squeezing it on some pads, folding/wrapping them back up and popping them on a zip lock bag in the freezer. Not sure I'll go to that effort but I got some anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️

20 years ago I used nothing but cool water down there when weeing etc!

I've been very lucky this time, I have been gifted all the Frida Mom stuff! Cooling pads, disposable pants, peri bottle, their witch hazel foam!!

I would Defo get a peri bottle as diluting your wee helps the sting

I have the Frida mom stuff too and the cooling ice packs are what I’m most excited about 😂

We’ve got car seat and buggy still in the boxes.. reckon 34 weeks is a good time to put them together? I can’t remember how many weeks we did it last time! If we pop the car seat in it means we’ll only be able to have a middle seat passenger but that’s not the end of the world! I’m not a chauffeur 😂

MudandMoet · 03/08/2024 15:47

Excuse this mornings funeral attire (it was the best I could do as I really didn't fancy splashing on a new dress at this stage)

2.5 weeks to go! Those first 12 weeks were the longest of my life, worrying, have we got a sticky one this time, constantly checking when wiping. Then the next 8 -12 weeks were still so precarious and yet now we're suddenly entering the last few weeks and it's flying by! Anyone else feeling so grateful to be at this point and hoping these next few weeks go as smoothly and healthily as possible? 🤞🏼🤍🧸

@HRP1990 it got delivered yesterday whilst I was at work and I couldn't wait to open it all and assemble it 🤣 it's in the nursery now.

I just opened the car seat and isofix to make sure all there...... But won't put it in yet as I have a car seat in for the dog too at the minute 🤣

@MudandMoet looking lovely!! Hope the funeral went ok! Only 2.5 weeks for you!? Wow how exciting!! I have 5 weeks 6 days till due date! Feels super close now!

MudandMoet · 03/08/2024 18:30

@TripleESept24 yes 2.5 😬, I was given an original date of 4th September at my first scan then from the second onwards they moved my date to 28th August and because of my age they've recommended induction a week early, so I'm now looking at 21st August - shitttt!!! Im holding off with the car seat due to dog seat also being in the back 😂

SC126 · 03/08/2024 18:37

@MudandMoet think we have matching outfits on today. Hope the funeral went alright and I think you look absolutely fine. I wore this for a fancy afternoon tea so if I can get away with that you definitely could for your day.

MudandMoet · 03/08/2024 19:09

@SC126 we definitely do 🫶🏻. Good old trusty stretchy dress. I've started taking pics with my maternity wear on ready for it all going on Vinted, forward thinking and all that! Ahh thanks, the funeral went really well tbf. It was short but very sweet (it was our neighbours from the cottage down the lane, she tripped on the lip of the door going in from the garden, cracked her head on her kitchen table and died - so sudden 😢 so be careful everyone!!)

SC126 · 03/08/2024 19:39

@MudandMoet oh wow that's so sad and tragic. Sudden deaths really put into perspective how much to appreciate every second.

MrsM89 · 03/08/2024 19:48

TripleESept24 · 03/08/2024 22:59

I'm suddenly worried I don't have enough clothes for her 🤔🩷 but also don't want to go mad with clothes! Should I buy more once she's here?
