@TripleESept24 one of my sister's friends developed a clotting disorder as an after effect of COVID and had to go into hospital with clots on her lungs. I know the injections aren't a nice prospect but if it was me I would do them. I'm sure most people would be fine but because it happened to someone I know I'm very aware of it!

@HRP1990 yes they’re so expensive and so disappointing! I don’t LOVE dates anyway… any tips from anyone to make them tastier?! I see about having them with peanut butter but I have a nut allergy so might not be my smartest move 😂

I whacked some frozen fruit
(raspberries, strawberries, mango, papaya and pineapple - basically whatever frozen fruit bags Tesco were pushing out) with some yogurt and honey into a blender, then when done I just chucked in 4 medjool dates and whizzed them in too. Was actually bloody luvlehhhh. The frozen fruit make it like a nice, healthy ice cream

TripleESept24 · 29/07/2024 20:17

I'm quite lucky! Because I actually love medjool dates! 😋

I am 34 weeks this week but don't want to start them too soon because I don't finish work until 38 weeks 🤣

Ordered my pram today!! Just went for the full travel system Venicci upline in stone beige with car seat and isofix!! And will upgrade to second stage car seat when she needs it!! £899 for the lot which I don't think is bad compared to the icandy I originally wanted!! I found the icandy too heavy and complicated!!

I just got shat on by a seagull, all in my hair, down my face and chest 😭🤣 they say its good luck tho! So hey ho!

WinsandSam · 29/07/2024 21:10

@TripleESept24 that's a bargain for the whole set up!! Good find

namechangemama101 · 29/07/2024 22:04

Saw a few comments about the mejdool dates, if you live in an area with a south asian (pakistani/indian) grocery store or even irani/iraqi grocery, you can't get bigger packs of dates for a better price :)

namechangemama101 · 29/07/2024 22:04

Sorry should say 'can get'

TripleESept24 · 30/07/2024 10:43

Off to Royal Cornwall hospital Triage for reduced movements 😭

Hardly felt her last night and nothing this morning so best to go get checked out before a long drive back to Nottingham tomorrow!!

rupertbear91 · 30/07/2024 12:25

Hope all goes ok @TripleESept24

Caroline2023 · 30/07/2024 12:37

Hope all is ok @TripleESept24 I’ve just come back from MAU for reduced movements as like you hadn’t felt her this morning and was quieter than usual last night. Luckily all is ok

Glad all good for you! I think because I've been ill with COVID it's just made her a bit lazy hopefully! Just wired up to everything monitoring heartbeat now.

How long were you in for? Still only felt one small movement

Caroline2023 · 30/07/2024 13:06

@TripleESept24 hopefully! I swear the heat also makes a difference for my movements. I was monitored for about 45mins I think. When she was moving during some of the monitoring I couldn’t feel her, so her position may have been impacting 🤷🏼‍♀️

Emmaev · 30/07/2024 13:09

@TripleESept24 Hope everything is ok! I live in Cornwall so been to the triage twice, I always found them quite quick there and was in and out in a few hours

Hey yeh I'm pretty much done. ECG was fine, still not had much moving but just had one quite strong one! They said I can stay but I think I'm just gonna go back to my mum's and come back if the movements don't pick up!!

@Caroline2023 yeh I could tell by the heartbeat she was moving, but I couldn't really feel it!!

Good news is she is now head down! Thank goodness!

HRP1990 · 30/07/2024 13:48

So glad to hear that @TripleESept24 also that she’s head down! I have my 34 week midwife appt tomorrow and hoping he’s also head down 🤞🏻

MrsMoggy · 30/07/2024 14:07

Update from me, induction booked for 15th august when i will be 37+3. Had a growth scan today and she had dropped from 13th to 10th and with history of reduced movements and my thyroid playing up she said it was best to book an induction in. I have so much to do before this date!! Also have another midwife appt and 2 scans before then. Also had protein in urine today so had to have some extra BP checks. They must think I’m a
complete pain in the arse there

PinkWatermelon88 · 30/07/2024 14:19

@MrsMoggy omg that’s so close - congratulations! Hope the next few weeks go well for you and you’re feeling good. Are you gonna make a to do list? I really need to get my A into G 😬

I already had a to do list but I need to speed it up for sure! Also don’t have any names either yet. My maternity leave wasn’t due to start until the 19th 🙈 so I’ll have to sort that. I’ve had so many appointments that its good to have something to aim
for, just worried how small she is going to be with her only being 10th centile and coming early. The smallest she has been is 6th centile so just have to hope she doesn’t drop down again over next couple of weeks

PinkWatermelon88 · 30/07/2024 15:49

@MrsMoggy you'll get there I'm sure. Our little lady didn't have a name for the first 5 days so you've loads of time :) Take care of yourself as much as you can in the coming weeks, send off any jobs to others that you can. Hopefully she keeps tracking well and she'll be here before you know it x

Caroline2023 · 30/07/2024 16:32

@TripleESept24 glad she’s ok and head down! Mine has been head down since 28/29 weeks and just hoping she stays put 😂

@MrsMoggy wow so soon! I can imagine it’s a lot to get your head around with her size and early arrival, look after yourself. Hopefully there’s bits in your list that are less urgent so you don’t have to have to much stress over the coming weeks.

MudandMoet · 30/07/2024 17:35

@MrsMoggy hope everything goes well for you. Keep us posted please! Potentially our first baby born on the board 🫶🏻🤍😁

I'm the opposite to you, all ready to go but just waiting for my induction date. Baby isn't measuring small though so I totally get why you have yours and so soon. I'm sure your baby will be just the most perfect little bundle. Are you down to a few for the names or nowhere near on deciding?

I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow (bang on 36 weeks) and a growth scan and consultant appt next Tuesday so I'm wondering if this is when they'll give me my date now that it's getting close (not really sure how it works)

Pleased all seems okay and she's head down @TripleESept24 have you felt her much this afternoon?

MrsMoggy · 30/07/2024 19:00

Don’t even have a names shortlist as nothing has jumped out at us. There will be some frantic discussion over the next couple of weeks I’m sure.

Luckily most baby stuff has been purchased but I now need some smaller sizes and some extra bits for the hospital bag, I was induced with my first child 12 years ago and it took days so
want to be prepared, especially with food as I’m vegan and I don’t expect them to cater for me with ward food.

have lots of bits to do around the house, none of them hugely important to be quite honest but I’m one of those people that manages anxiety by always doing something so I feel like I need to get them done for peace of mind.

tryingfortwo2 · 30/07/2024 19:25

@MudandMoet ahh you must not be on the fb/whatsapp? We already have our first baby! He was born 3 days ago (maybe 4?) 🥰

@MrsMoggy so soon! Hope you’re feeling okay about it all, and like you say, at least having lots to do will keep you busy.

Decaffe · 30/07/2024 20:46

Wonderful news @MrsMoggy, our first ‘due September’ baby!

Emmaev · 30/07/2024 20:53

It’s so crazy that it’s almost August and we’ll all be due the next month. Still need to get some bits sorted, hospital bag is half completed.

I’ve got a midwife appointment on Thursday so I’m hoping the bp and urine behave itself. I don’t fancy another day in triage. I’ve also got a 36 weeks growth scan on Monday and she dipped a little on her curve last time so I’m hoping she hasn’t again.

It’s all becoming very real, still absolutely blows my mind that there is a full baby in my belly

PoppingUp · 30/07/2024 21:43

Anyone feeling baby movements/pressure in their back? I'm getting very tender on my lower left side and initially wondered if it might be an unhappy kidney but I now think it's either generic aches or maybe baby pressing awkwardly. I've got a midwife's appointment tomorrow so will ask her but wondered if it rang bells for anyone else!
