I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

@YaWeeFurryBastard @LK2610 oh hello so lovely to see familiar names. That thread was a brilliant place to vent to people who understood!
how are you both? How many weeks are you now?
Im really struggling with anxiety and fear of another miscarriage/chemical 😭

Almost 7 weeks now! It’s very hard with the anxiety to be honest, I think especially given how long it’s taken, because I know if god forbid anything happens to this one it would likely take ages again.

Hi all,
Welcome to all the new posters!

I'm on week 6 now and the nausea is getting me down. I haven't thrown up but constantly feel sick. I get travel sickness and it reminds me of that. Trying to nibble on things to give momentary relief but then it just comes back. I know we just have to get through it, but finding it tough this time around. I think someone mentioned chewing gum was helping so might try that.

Lemonbalm8 · 18/06/2024 10:26

Is anyone taking heparin/clexane?

elb1504 · 18/06/2024 11:19

I've booked a scan for next week and first booking appointment for 9th July, it just doesn't feel real maybe after the scan next week.

I'm feeling so nauseous and tired really struggling to concentrate with work.

So nice to see people having scans and hope everyone's doing ok!

SJLOU · 18/06/2024 11:23

So so happy and relieved to see the 3+ this morning on this clear blue digital! Id been using MomMed strips to watch line progression and it made me anxious because it wasn’t progressing as it should be. After reading some reviews I now know they aren’t very reliable for line progression, so I’m ditching them (and hopefully testing all together!) now I have this confirmation 🥰. Just an FYI in case anyone else is in the same
position and worried about line progression!

Due February 2025

@5431go Congratulations and welcome to the gang! So many lovely supportive people here so hope you feel at home ☺️

@elb1504 Well done on getting your first things booked in! Good luck for the scan next week although, if it's your first, you might (like me) still have a sense of disbelief that what's up there on a screen is somehow in you. Really weird 😂 Keep us posted on how you get on!

@SJLOU Yay! Really happy for you to see that 3+ and I bet it's really comforting. I find digital tests a lot easier to handle than the line ones, I must confess ☺️ Hope you can now relax a bit x

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking on this thread and reading all your updates which have been really encouraging. I am due 14/02/2025 so I'm 5w+4. First pregnancy and I'm 38. We were undergoing fertility tests and found out I was pregnant when I went for the ultrasound to check my womb/ovaries. It was a bit of a surprise!
Symptoms I've had are bloating, restless sleep, sore boobs and slight constipation.
I've noticed some very light spotting today which has panicked me. How common is this? Should I be worried?
Sorry for the long first post!

Roxttc · 18/06/2024 12:03

I’m not feeling good today at all have cramps in my upper thighs almost a bit numb and bad tummy cramps quite low down but all across my tummy. Thought it was due to needing the loo but that didn’t help at all, can’t get comfy or concentrate sat up working so currently having a lie down partner wants me to call our advice line on private number but I feel that’s a bit dramatic!

I'm so sorry to hear you're suffering 😕 The location sounds like it could potentially be round ligament pain as everything stretches but I don't know how intense that gets. If it stays bad for
much longer it might be worth giving your advice line a call so they can put your mind at rest - unless someone else here can offer advice?

UrbanSquirrel · 18/06/2024 12:15

Hello @WildFinch and welcome! Light spotting seems to be pretty common, so please don't worry - several other ladies here are in a similar position. If I understand correctly, it only becomes concerning if you also have bad cramps; and keep an eye on the colour of the blood (bright red is worth checking out, I think). As for your other symptoms, yep, they all sound very familiar from my own personal experience 😉

Hopefully someone who is also experiencing spotting can reassure you on that front 🤗

Thanks ☺️ I did call as he was nagging me - we have private insurance due to his line of work which includes midwife advice but it wasn’t super helpful first she said it was weird and then normal lol. Lying down is helping they just feel weak now and numb and she said that can be fairly normal so just gonna take it easy for next couple of hours lucky I work from home although doing it sat up in bed is not ideal! Stomach cramps have started to ease since lying down half an hour ago.

Ideally when we booked a private scan I’d have liked a 7 week scan on Friday but were flying on holiday for a week early Sat AM so think it’s best to wait until we’re back!

Congratulations! I was about to start IVF in July when I found out I'm pregnant few days ago, but finding out at a scan must have been surreal. May I ask for curiosity how many weeks you were at scan and what you were able to see? I'm thinking of booking a scan just to check everything is in the right place, as I'm taking bunch of medications.

As for spotting, I had spotting in my successful pregnancy at week 4 as well as a bleed at week 7. All was well, no cause determined at scans. As long as it's not bleeding a lot, only scans can give you reassurance but it should be ok.

JayJay92 · 18/06/2024 13:27

@WildFinch Congratulations, I am having spotting as well since day before and I was advised by EPU to monitor it as it seems to be quite common. Unless it lasts for more than a week or the flow becomes heavy with bright red blood, it is nothing of concern.

But I know it's difficult to not worry about it as ive constantly been worried since last three days. All we can do right now is to reassure ourselves that everything is fine and will be fine as well :)

WildFinch · 18/06/2024 14:09

Thanks everyone for your reassuring words, first time I've ever posted on a forum and it's been really helpful. The spotting is getting heavier and is dark brown. I'll keep an eye on it as you've suggested.
@Lemonbalm8 I had the scan two days before my period was due. It was to check for PCOS so the pregnancy was a surprise. She said she could see something where they would expect a pregnancy sac to be but she couldn't confirm pregnancy as she could see the fetal stem(?) so I should do a test when I got home, which was faint positive.

@JayJay92 sorry you have spotting too. It's been very hard not to worry, I keep wanting to cry! I shall do my best to concentrate on the work I'm meant to be doing! Hopefully yours stops soon and all is well xx

Wow, did you take a photo? It was probably the earliest scan ever 🙏🏻
I hope the spotting eases up, but if you're worried, you could get another scan. At this stage, they would probably see sac, yolk and maybe fetal pole. Hope you can get some reassurance in the next few days

WildFinch · 18/06/2024 14:23

@Lemonbalm8 I didn't take a picture actually! Didn't even think about it at the time haha!

I've got one more question, is it worth calling the early pregnancy unit if the spotting continues? Or is it a case of letting nature take it's course when it's this early? Hope that's not an insensitive question part of me thinks ' I don't want to cause a fuss!' but maybe I'm being too British

susie1984234 · 18/06/2024 14:51

Has anyone else got the worlds itchiest nipples? I'm at work today and trying to discreetly scratch 😅

Definitely worth giving them a call with spotting. They will likely offer a scan, that's what happened to me when I asked about my spotting. But they said that after a scan, some spotting is normal so it's a bit circular 😂

Can I tentatively join? My first time posting on here but I’ve been lurking for a while! I’m only 10 DPO but have had 3 faint positives on cheap tests since yesterday morning, waiting on some clearblues coming from Amazon! Don’t think I’ll really believe it until I see a test actually say “pregnant” rather than some lines I’ve had to quint to see!

Only symptom at the min is really sore boobs (only reason I tested so early as I never usually have this! And slight cramping). Flo is estimating DD at 27/02 so I might be bumped to the March group in a few weeks once things are confirmed!

Hello I'm due 28th or 27th Feb depending on the app. I must be one of the latest bfps on this thread. As I gave birth 10 days earlier with my first, I'm guessing that I'll stay on February thread 😂 fingers crossed all goes well

Yes! I'm virtually symptomless otherwise but my breasts are on fire!

LS888 · 18/06/2024 15:28

Think my due date will be early Feb too. I had a scan last week due to some spotting- I brought a private scan forward I had booked it originally for this week. They said I was 5/6 weeks and could see a heartbeat. Said they could see where the bleeding had come from and to expect a bit more. When I saw the midwife that afternoon for my booking in appointment they said to keep an eye on the bleeding but to ring if it got heavy or was bright red. The spotting has been on and off but hopefully all is still ok 🤞🏻

Apart from the spotting I’ve been really tired and feeling nauseous all day. Have to keep snacking to keep me feeling human. But it’s not a nice feeling. I also have a 10 month old daughter so she is keeping me busy but trying to nap when she naps!

AH2023 · 18/06/2024 16:49

Hi ladies - I had an early scan at EPU today due to previous losses and am measuring right on 6 weeks as expected with a heartbeat. DD is 11/2. Feeling a lot more hopeful about this pregnancy now :)
