I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

Hello, great to have found this thread! Congrats to all here!I should be 5wks today. 2nd pregnancy and it’s taken a while! Lots of cramping on and off- anyone else? Hard not to panic!

Congrats! I’m roughly 4w4d and have had cramping pretty much constantly for the last 2 days, hoping it’s just implantation/stretching pains.
my first positive so I’m super anxious 🤦‍♀️

Hopefully2ndtimemummy · 17/06/2024 17:24

Thanks everyone, it’s so great to be able to discuss with others in the same boat! im expecting a EPAU scan next week so hopefully that will provide some
reassurance. Hope everyone is doing well!

whizbee · 17/06/2024 17:29

Hi everyone, I think I’m 4w6d having tested positive on Friday when my period was late. This will be our first, all being well. So far not many symptoms though I woke up last night with period pain like cramps which passed pretty quickly. Having felt I’d done quite a bit of research and been actively trying I suddenly feel a bit clueless about everything so am keen to connect with others in the same situation!

Shortcake06 · 17/06/2024 17:30

Hello and congratulations all
I have just found out I am pregnant a few days ago, after a chemical last month and a miscarriage last year. This would be my second child.
Due date would be 24/2/25
I am only 4+1. Absolutely knackered and had a very dizzy faint spell today but nothing else.
Really struggling with the anxiety after having two losses and wondered if anyone had any tips for managing this. Trying to limit the amount of tests I do as they are making me more anxious. Thanks x

LK2610 · 17/06/2024 18:06

So happy to see you here @Shortcake06 🥰x

YaWeeFurryBastard · 17/06/2024 18:32

@Shortcake06 so happy to see you as well! I’m honestly so pleased that at least three of us from the TTC but taking longer threads are on here now 🥰

Rosie980 · 17/06/2024 18:32

Hi all - just found out I’m pregnant today! Due 20th February and am just over 4 weeks today. Currently main symptoms are tiredness, sore boobs and a headache 😓

Congrats to everyone!

Shortcake06 · 17/06/2024 18:49

@YaWeeFurryBastard @LK2610 oh hello so lovely to see familiar names. That thread was a brilliant place to vent to people who understood!
how are you both? How many weeks are you now?
Im really struggling with anxiety and fear of another miscarriage/chemical 😭

@Shortcake06 @Rosie980 @whizbee Welcome to the thread and congratulations! 🙌🏻

I've started spotting and I can't help but panic. I didn't have any with my first child at all.

I completely understand that it's worrying - I would feel the same - but I've seen lots of women saying they have spotting and it's a common symptom in the first trimester. I hope someone here can speak to this with greater authority and comfort you, but please don't automatically panic. 🤗

Great that your appointments so soon! Mine isn't until 19 July. I'll be ten weeks by then which seems late!

I've had some really bad faint/dizzy spells. I went to the docs today as I need to get blood tests done and she said my blood pressure was a little low which I think might contribute to it.

Have you asked whether they can get you one sooner maybe? I know they say between 8-10 weeks so either way you’ll be fine ☺️.

Did your doc say whether there’s anything she could do for low blood pressure? I felt like I was going to pass out twice today.. one episode being whilst I was driving 😕 hope it’s not going to be a daily occurrence!

I've also had miscarriages in the past. It's such a long wait and then more waiting. Each pregnancy is a new chance, so hopefully we will be all ok this time 🤞🏻

Hi all - I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days...due around valentines day.
This is baby number 4 for me and wasn't planned so a massive surprise. I have a 16,15 and 4 year old. Just about getting my head round it.
I've had non stop spotting/light brown discharge since before I even had a positive test. EPU won't see me until I'm 6 weeks...Still getting strong positive tests so trying to think positive.
Before I fell pregnant I had very heavy periods...to the point my last one before I fell pregnant I ended up off work because I bled so heavy. GP referred me to gynae last year and I finally got an appt through for this Friday...although I doubt they'll do much now I'm pregnant! I'm trying to tell myself the spotting is related to whatever caused the heavy periods😫

I also had heavy periods. I'm thrown though because I didn't have any spotting last time around! I think I'm going to take a digital weeks test and see where I am. I've not done a test since my first clear blue digital showed positive on friday

ThatBlueMoose · 17/06/2024 20:31

With my previous three pregnancies I never had any spotting either. This time round has just been completely different. Wish I knew what was going on with my body!

Shortcake06 · 17/06/2024 20:44

@UrbanSquirrel thank you and congratulations x
@Lemonbalm8 Congratulations on your pregnancy and I’m so sorry for your loss. How are you coping day to day? It’s so stressful and the anxiety about every little pain is constant. Also constant fear that I’ll start bleeding 😵‍💫
@gormlessgoldilocks im sorry that’s so stressful. Please don’t fear the worst. Some bleeding can be very common in early pregnancy but if you are concerned you can call your local early pregnancy unit x

On a lighter note, I'm lazing in bed and it smells as though someone is cooking roast pork right outside our window. Is this a sign of pregnancy-enhanced nasal superpowers, I wonder, or the onset of crackling-centred cravings? 🤣

Sophi123 · 17/06/2024 21:08

Hi all - excited to be joining this thread having not been on one properly in a few years. I am a second time mum, having had my DS in March 2021 (early at 32 weeks which was stressful at the time but he’s an absolutely amazing, cheeky toddler now) and having had one early loss before my pregnancy with him.

We only just decided TTC #2 last month and I am 37 so slightly shocked to have got a BFP last Thursday. I am now 4+1, due on 24th February and excited but also nervous about another loss given previous experience / age.

No real symptoms yet other than some cramping. I can provide a bit of reassurance to others though in that I had some quite bad bleeding with my first at about 5/6 weeks and it was fine so doesn’t always mean a bad outcome!

Fingers crossed for us all on this exciting but terrifying journey. Always nice to have some people to share it with before you’re telling people personally too!

Congratulations @Sophi123 and welcome! That really is a speedy result too: you must be very pleased (as well as startled). Everyone here seems so lovely and I'm hoping we'll all be in this together for the duration ☺️

Honestly, I'm ignoring the possibility of miscarriage and just testing each morning/afternoon, and if it's not lighter, I try to carry on. I do feel wobbly during the day but I'm really trying to keep busy, so that I have no time to think. My lines are not getting lighter but they're not getting much darker, so I do worry but honestly I feel like I can't do anything anymore, I'm on all types of meds 🙈

Shortcake06 · 17/06/2024 22:57

@Lemonbalm8 keeping busy is good advice, I’m trying to do that too. Sending love I know how hard this time is, we will get there x

superj21 · 18/06/2024 04:27

@SJLOU I think she said they were quite busy so that might have been all I could get. Tbh I was a bit in shock when I was on the phone to them so it's a bit of a blur 😂

She didn't say much about the low blood pressure unfortunately, she just said it was a bit low but wasn't too concerned. I'm going to keep an eye on it though and if it's getting worse I'll go back. Maybe worth a trip to the docs for you? Could be very dangerous if it's happening when driving 😞.
