I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

@elb1504 mints and gum are a good idea I might try that! I've been drinking a lot of ice water and then eating the ice cubes which seems to provide a little relief. Otherwise it's going to be a rough few weeks 😅. I've been wfh this week but need to go in a few days next week. Don't really want to tell my work this early but might need to if it means I can wfh more!

I had a scan on Monday which put me at 7 weeks exactly, I thought I was 6+3. Was so strange seeing a little blob baby with a heartbeat!

Oh congrats @scrumdiddly123 - what splendid news. You must have been absolutely thrilled! 🤗

How is everyone dealing with the nausea? I've been having it all day every day and although have not actually thrown up yet there's been a few close calls and I feel constantly on the verge. I feel like I get momentary relief when I'm eating something but as soon as I've finished it the nausea is back. And I cannot just eat all day 😂

I've had HG through all my pregnancies and it's just starting to set in now. I travel a lot through the city with my job on public transport so anticipate this will not be great this time round Sad so far I've managed to be sick in a bush and in a bin next to a Tesco express. Love it. Not found anything helpful yet!

superj21 · 13/06/2024 18:19

Oh god @gothbaddie that sounds awful 😫 did it get better in the second trimester?

Hi everyone! Haven't been able to read through the 16 pages of posts I have missed but joining all your journeys now. Expecting baby number 3 around 14th Feb and pregnancy anxiety does not get any easier! Have an early scan booked in for 15th July as do not have it in me to wait a full 12 weeks. How is everyone doing? Anyone else on baby number 3? Complete shock to see a BFP as even though we were trying thought we had completely missed ovulation due to illness/time away etc. I have a 4 and 2 year old so think I may also be slightly mad!

Baby no 3 here too! Due 20th Feb. I have a 4 year old (almost 5) and a 10 month old 🫣 also think I may be mad!

I’ve been lurking, I’ve had faint pos tests all week but period was due today and I got my clear blue “pregnant” so it feels official now.

I have had some light brown/pink discharge today though when wiping occasionally - hopefully implantation!

I feel exactly the same, I had this in my last pregnancy but I do think I feel worse this time! Fizzy drinks provide momentary relief.

Hi everyone. Just joining this thread today, it's nice to have people to talk to who are at the same stage. I'm 4w+6 today due the 21st Feb with my first baby. Had an early miscarriage at 7w+5 in January so this is my second pregnancy. Trying my best to be optimistic about this one and not let the doubt demons creep in. Am I mad to be delighted any time I feel a little nauseous?😂

superj21 · 13/06/2024 19:15

@Redapple21 I was thinking some ginger ale might be good so will give that a go this weekend!

lizziecat1 · 13/06/2024 19:42

CxCxTtc2024 · 13/06/2024 07:30

Morning all! So exciting we are getting scans booked- has anyone had one already? I bet it will all be the same weekend we end up caving and going...
NHS website is saying I'm anywhere between 5 and 6weeks atm, based on LMP I'm currently 6 but I have a feeling I ovulated super late based on how faint the test lines were at 10 days past my period due date. Soooo I'm not going to go for two weeks. Maybe three.
Finally got a nice dark line on Premom test this morning.
Still have a temperature :(

Also a weird phenomenon- anyone else waking up really early? I'm waking up at 4-5am and being fully awake for an hour before dozing a little bit again. I am certain it's psychological rather than physiological, as it started the Day After I took a +ve test. It happened last time too, but stopped the day after I had the scan confirming MMC.

Same here... awake at 5am every morning since the day before I tested positive. Pretty annoying, as I'm exhausted by the evening!

Redapple21 · 13/06/2024 19:57

And now after days of nausea it seems to have gone away in the last hour (after eating). Instead of enjoying the relief, I'm now worrying and probably willing it to return! 🙈🙈

Mabali · 09/06/2024 12:11

Hello everyone, congratulations! Can I tentatively join? I tested positive yesterday and I am feeling a little anxious and hoping the tests darken for me in the coming days. This will be my second baby with a due date of 14th February, my LO is almost 2.

Ah I also have a nearly 2 year old and due date 14th Feb!

Hi everyone, joining in as I tested positive today. Didn't need the test though, could tell from the way my boobs feel 😂 I remember this with my first!

I feel much more crampy this time though which I don't remember from last time

LemonDropsXx · 13/06/2024 21:42

I had my HCG tested when I was 5 weeks a couple of days ago and it was 21,000 which is clearly why I'm feeling so rubbish 🤢

dreaminofholidays · 13/06/2024 22:03

@CxCxTtc2024 & @lizziecat1 same here. I’m awake at 4am every morning for at least an hour. Then tossing and turning for a while. I think it’s been since I took the test as well. Im wondering if I’ve got first trimester tiredness or waking up at 4am tiredness x

CxCxTtc2024 · 13/06/2024 22:11

@dreaminofholidays @lizziecat1 it's so strange!! I just open my eyes wide awake!!! I'm
Not thinking specifically about anything to do with it, or had a bad dream or anything. And it can't be to do with hormones or anything because I was sleeping fine before I knew about the pregnancy, as soon as I had a pos test, no sleeping.

xBeckyJayne · 14/06/2024 05:16

Hi, this is my first pregnancy and I'm about 6 weeks. Symptoms so far are very sensitive boobs/nipples and tiredness xx

Kept waking up in the night worrying that my nausea had gone away. Up early with DS and it's back. I'm actually relieved to feel sick! Pregnancy is a wild ride.

superj21 · 14/06/2024 07:36

@Redapple21 I would be the same! So glad it's back for you 😂 even though it's awful!

Ah due date twins. When does your LO turn 2?

I was practically symptomless with my first and I feel the same this time round but it’s making me really anxious so I think I’m going to book an early reassurance scan to check baby is in the right place!

jaybeez · 14/06/2024 08:20

@Mabali she'll be two in September, what about yours?

It's so hard not comparing to the first time! I'm constantly thinking "did I feel like this last time? 🤔". Need to try to relax and not compare too much!

retrievermum · 14/06/2024 08:42

@jaybeez at my booking appointment the midwife said more women get crampy in their second pregnancy because their uterus starts stretching sooner (it remember what it needs to do basically!) and said as long as it’s not severe or only on one side (or accompanied by bleeding), it’s likely absolutely nothing to worry about and is very very normal :)

Roxttc · 14/06/2024 08:44

I’m 6 weeks today also with some of you on lack of symptoms, I have cramping on and off and very sore nipples but that’s been about it, felt tired at 4 week mark but been far less tired recently I do have an aversion to some foods but not in a nausea way just a complete lack of interest in eating them haha my body just wants carbs

UrbanSquirrel · 14/06/2024 09:22

7 weeks today. Still a bit bloated now and then, with the odd faint cramp or twinge, though I still think most of that is probably trapped wind 😄 Had to go out for a work dinner last night and definitely felt overfull and grumpy at the end of it - I don't think I can be bothered with shapewear any more 😂 (On the plus side, lime soda turns out to be really nice as a non alcoholic option!)

Still no nausea. Breasts still sore and a bit firmer than before. Agree with some PPs that I'm not sleeping so well, though I think a lot of that is that I feel the need to go to the loo and check everything's OK every time I feel a bit uncomfortable.

Paranoid? Me? 😜

jaybeez · 14/06/2024 09:29

@retrievermum that's really reassuring, thank you!

I’m 6weeks 5 today and I’m exactly the same. I’ve just gone off certain foods but don’t feel sick!
