I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

Just for info - I made a referral to my midwife (I’m southwest) on 3rd June and just had a call for my appointment on 9th July so I’ll be 9.5 weeks

Yes, I registered with the hospital on Wednesday and already have a midwife appointment for 27 June, which will be 8+5 weeks. Super impressed with the speed!

We've also just had a date for our 12 week scan on 23 July. Viability scan booked in for 7+2 weeks and NIPT for 10 weeks. It all seems to be happening very quickly. Argh! 😂

@Thecomfortador I am feeling the rage, and my DD who is 4 is definitely not helping it! She is being particularly challenging though, I'm sure it's not just me! Haha!

😂

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 07/06/2024 12:28

I’m also 10th Feb and think I’ve had a few symptoms (nausea, stronger sense of smell, fatigue, sore boobs, bloating) but it could be psychosomatic?! Although the sense of smell was before I even found out- suddenly I hated the stench of the dishwasher when my husband claimed he couldn’t smell it at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

No rage yet though, although maybe DH would disagree!

Wow 6 weeks already @UrbanSquirrel! Feels like these first few days / weeks go by so slowly!
Can I ask what, if any, exercise people are still doing? We have a Peloton bike which I love and don't really know how much more steady I should be taking it.

I kept up with spin classes until about 5 months. Though by that point I was taking it very gently while everyone else was working out strenuously! It's fine to keep going if you're used to it and comfortable, just avoid the strenuous end of exercise and do whatever feels comfortable.

I also used to commute to work on road bike which I couldn't do for long because my pregnant belly didn't allow for it! But when I was 6 months, on May Day we have bells and choirs at dawn and since there wasn't any public transport I decided to cycle in as a one-off - most uncomfortable experience ever! Aside from labour maybe! So yes just listen to your body!

UrbanSquirrel · 07/06/2024 16:56

Bells and choirs at dawn on May Day, @Mamma364747? Sounds like Oxford?! 😉

I am super impressed too! I self referred myself yesterday and got today the confirmation for my appointment for the 10 July. I should be almost 8 weeks by then. I live in Salford (Manchester) 😊 quite efficient for now!

fsr111 · 07/06/2024 18:26

Thanks for this @Mamma364747 - I'll keep it up for now, just not quite as strenuous as I was, and see how long I can keep going!

bravotango · 07/06/2024 20:19

Wow impressed with everyone self referring and getting the ball rolling so quickly! V inspired - going to do it myself on Monday, exciting!

Hi all please can I join, I'm mum to 4 very grown up children it feels 14,13,11&7. Have had 3 miscarriages and now have a bfp due around feb 8th. Have an appointment next Wednesday.

Hello fellow mum of 4! Mine are 15,12, 9 and 3- totally unplanned baby no.5! How are you feeling?

ILoveSummer2 · 08/06/2024 09:19

Hey everyone I’d love to join you. I’m 15 dpo and found out on Monday I’m expecting my 4th…totally unplanned and a total shock…confusing but reassuring seeing you all on here! I’m feeling really tired and some cramping, have done for over a week. Weird isn’t it because we want to talk to other people but don’t want to go joining Facebook groups etc incase all our contacts see! Didn’t expect to be going through parenting again…excited…nervous…petrified of the sleepless nights…high chair mess…and the toddler stage again…!!!!

UrbanSquirrel · 08/06/2024 11:48

Hey @ILoveSummer2 - congrats and welcome! For those of us who are doing this first time round, like me (at the grand old age of 39) I've no doubt that you experienced mums are going to be an absolute godsend with all our silly questions as we get further along 😂

Pattisonmummy · 08/06/2024 12:22

How did your other children respond to the pregnancy? I have a 15, 14 9 and 8yr old and each of them at first didn't believe us. They are now very excited for the new little one. 😄 although it's been many years since mine I feel like it's my first again and I don't have a clue what we need lol

CheeseAndCrackersx · 08/06/2024 12:39

I just want to say congratulations and good luck to you all 🩷🩵

This was me this time last year getting that positive test 😃 and I now have a beautiful boy who was born on 12th feb 🩵

UrbanSquirrel · 08/06/2024 13:04

That's so sweet @CheeseAndCrackersx - thank you! Congratulations on your little boy 🥰

Mamma364747 · 08/06/2024 14:56

Is everyone waiting until the 12w scan to tell others? I'm dying to tell a close friend but trying to hold off.

UrbanSquirrel · 08/06/2024 17:02

@Mamma364747 We've already told both sets of parents, plus my boss and my project manager at work so they know I'll need to take time off now and then. Also one work friend as I want someone to chat to who isn't my husband 😂 Otherwise keeping it under wraps.

We're doing an early private scan at 7 weeks and a private NIPT plus another scan at 10 weeks - so if all of those come back OK I guess we might start to spread the word slightly ahead of the 12w scan. But seems wise not to say too much too early as I guess we aren't out of the woods yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mamma364747 · 05/06/2024 21:53

Hello! I tested positive over the weekend. I have a 6yo already. I'll be an older 40+ mum so I was a bit worried it may not happen again for me. I'm really happy though I wish I wasn't having a winter baby - I enjoyed a summer baby before and swanning around in maternity dresses. 😁

Another 40+ here. (47!!)
A winter pregnancy is good - means we get our own internal central heating systems!

Hi @mummy2nearly5
Congratulations!
Three grown up ones here... 15, 17, 19.
And now (hopefully) a surprise extra one. 2 miscarriages since my youngest was born, and we'd very much stopped ttc.
Due sometime early Feb... not quite sure when!

Henski · 09/06/2024 08:23

@UrbanSquirrel Thanks for letting me know about the group.

Hi All, I have a due date of 17th Feb according to my last period, will be baby no 1 for me!
For a week now I’ve been getting really intense lower abdominal pain lasts 5/10 minutes then disappears, does this sound normal ?

UrbanSquirrel · 09/06/2024 08:26

Hello @Henski, glad you found your way over! This is my first time round too but we have a lot of experienced mums on here and I hope someone will be able to offer you advice 🤗

Mabali · 09/06/2024 12:11

Hello everyone, congratulations! Can I tentatively join? I tested positive yesterday and I am feeling a little anxious and hoping the tests darken for me in the coming days. This will be my second baby with a due date of 14th February, my LO is almost 2.

UrbanSquirrel · 09/06/2024 12:56

Welcome and congrats @Mabali! A Valentine's Day baby for you then 😊

scrumdiddly123 · 09/06/2024 15:09

is anyone else struggling with nausea? Any tips or food/drink that have eased it? I’m 6+ 3 and feeling so rough 😫

Bb542 · 09/06/2024 16:30

Hi everyone. Tentatively joining as I got a positive test today (albeit a very very faint line). Due date would be the 20th of February I think. Not getting my hopes up as I had a miscarriage earlier this year at 8 weeks so it'll be hard to get excited before then 🙈

Is there a WhatsApp group going yet? If so, would love to join.

How is everyone doing? ❤️
