Hi everyone,

New thread for those of us due in November 2024. Old faces and new: welcome!

The last thread got a bit quieter as the Facebook group seems to be picking up. Link is here: fb.me/g/p_dSrSRkjpYfziyYWj/jkEMUg9j
It will expire in 48 hours so just ask if you need a new one!

Looking forward to hear how everyone is getting on as we approach/enter the second trimester ⭐️

I'm no good at the nub theory @peppermintdip. Hopefully someone else will be along shortly to help out!

@strawberrycake12 which WhatsApp group is this? I've joined one, but not sure if it's the same one.

The one where she says reply In 5 days or get kicked out. I didn't write over bank holiday weekend and now I'm banned 🥲😂

1yearplan · 29/05/2024 21:53

Oh no @strawberrycake12 that's such a shame. Could you try to join again and explain?
I do understand the reasoning behind it. I post on the Facebook group but I do worry there are lots of lurkers on there that don't post or do anonymous posts. I've not told anyone I'm pregnant yet, so I guess I still feel I need a safe space 🤦‍♀️

It's okay. I think I've realised I don't have time to reply every 5 days let alone when I have a baby 😅 don't know how they do it!

@strawberrycake12 honestly, being kicked from a group with posting frequency requirements sounds like a blessing in disguise. Enjoy your new messaging freedom!

Thank you! Your right ☺️

Kinsters · 30/05/2024 02:49

Definitely a blessing to be kicked out! With DS I waited ages to join the FB group because of previous losses and then they closed it to new people!! I was gutted but was a blessing tbh as that group was so full of drama and ended up breaking into two and I was able to join the new one but left after a day or two as the admins were insufferable 😅

mrssunshinexxx · 30/05/2024 06:58

I deleted the WhatsApp group I think you're talking about a month or so ago it was doing my head in I don't have time to be on my phone that much nor do I want to talk to strangers that much! X

In my last pregnancy the facebook group was lovely. Then there was a WhatsApp group, which was really helpful to me initially. However, that ended up with two groups because of a falling out with some of the women. 🤦‍♀️

I also think our facebook group is lovely too!

Love our Facebook group! ☺️

Cazzy87 · 30/05/2024 10:13

i know i dont post much on here but i love the fb group too! i find it amazing how many of you ladies post exactly what i'm thinking but haven't had the chance to say yet! 😂

waryandbored · 30/05/2024 16:54

How is everyone doing?
I had my 16 week appointment today at 15+1 and heard baby’s heartbeat which was just lovely to hear. I was anxious in case they couldn’t find it but luckily they did. I wish I had an appointment every week to check in and see how baby is!

hotchocfiend · 30/05/2024 17:47

Hello! Would love to join. I'm 13+5 and due 30th Nov so just sneaking into the group by the skin of my teeth 🤣 Scans all good thus far. Third child! Fed up of feeling sick but seems like maybe it's slowly letting up...

y0rkier0se · 29/05/2024 16:42

@Hilrobco Aw we have the same due date & I totally agree about being in that limbo stage where I don’t really feel that pregnant - I could pass for being really bloated & not really feeling proper movements yet, and symptoms have lifted lots compared to the first trimester!

Aw due date twins! Hope you’re coping ok! So glad to know it isn’t just me haha. Had my 16 week check (17+4!) and was able to hear the heartbeat so I’ve chilled out once again haha x

carlymarie24 · 02/06/2024 09:49

how many of you are finding out the gender? I didn’t want to but I’m pretty sure I seen boy bits on my 13 week scan I know it’s early but it was fairly big and obvious inbetween the legs and not where the cord was and now feel like I already know but not enough for me to buy blue things 😂 I’m not sure now if I want confirmation or still wait till the birth 🫣

We found out. Just makes it easier to decorate, buy things, figure out her name. But also we were given the option with our NIPT test and just wanted to know!

Kinsters · 02/06/2024 10:15

We found out and have for all my pregnancies. This time round the biggest incentive to find out was so I could talk about her with DD and DS. I was pretty sure the baby was a girl but I'd have hated to tell them that and then find out when he was born that he was a boy!

I found out at a private scan, and when my 20 week NHS one rolls round, I’ll ask them to confirm. Makes things a lot easier when there’s so little neutral clothing choices for babies.

piechipsgravy · 02/06/2024 11:36

I haven't posted on here in ages! Not much to report from me- I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. Had quite a lot of aching in my lower back and stomach over the last few days- got checked out on Thursday at the hospital and they couldn't see any issues so hoping it's just one of those things.

I have midwife tomorrow then it's 2 weeks until 20 week scan! Can't believe where the time is going. We've decided to stay team yellow 😊 hope everyone is doing ok!

muddlingthrou · 02/06/2024 13:09

@piechipsgravy I admire anyone with the patience to stay team yellow - good on you! I also have a fair bit of back ache and round ligament pains at the moment, I think this is a big growth spurt phase so the bump stretches and causes all sorts of soreness. Hope you feel better soon!

It's like my toddler has worked out I'm struggling to pick her up and fling her about as much so she's being clingier than normal 🤦🏽‍♀️ I want to reassure her but lifting her is absolute murder on my back atm... DH is trying his best to run interference, but any tips from others would be appreciated x

Kinsters · 02/06/2024 14:01

@muddlingthrou How old is she? I've been telling mine that my leg hurts so I can't carry them. Sometimes I have to or do something else that aggravates my hips though. I'm finding massaging my butt really helps.

muddlingthrou · 02/06/2024 15:16

@Kinsters - she's 2 and a bit. There's no avoiding ever picking her up but at the moment she's all about mummy cuddles! It's sweet but not sustainable, so I will try explaining I'm hurt. How old is yours?

Kinsters · 02/06/2024 15:37

@muddlingthrou DD is 4.5 and DS is 2.5. DS has always been better at walking by himself though so he's less bothered if I tell him I can't carry him, DD wouldn't at that age.

strawberrycake12 · 02/06/2024 21:19

Does anyone know if there will be any more scans after 20 weeks scan? If everything looks normal will they just not give me any more until baby's here? 😅
