We’re expecting our first child on November 17th. I’ve been a long time follower of the thread, but, having had a previous loss, felt like it was tempting fate joining in before our dating scan!

@Blendedfamily7 are you using the link on a computer or a phone? Some have had trouble with the FB invites on mobile previously

@Blendedfamily7 - it took me a few tries too, and only worked on a PC rather than my phone for some reason!

Im current 16+6
First baby, after some early loses a few years ago we stopped trying. This one is a complete amazing surprise! All scans good so far. Very excited and a bit nervous, good to be around other people :-)

Hello ladies! Has anyone had their 16 week appointment and if so what did it entail? I'm currently 16 + 5 and have my appointment on Thursday (I have been away on holiday). My morning sickness went at 15 weeks, and now I currently have no pregnancy symptoms apart from evening bloat (no bump in the mornings). I can't feel any twinges yet so I am starting to get to the anxious phase as I just want a new symptom to tell me it is still going okay! I am really fingers crossed that they will use a Doppler or something to check baby's heartbeat at the 16 week appointment but I am assuming not? Otherwise it is going to be a long wait until the 20 week scan to confirm everything is still growing and alive in there!

Hope you all had lovely bank holiday weekends 😊 my trip abroad (first one when pregnant) was so lovely - I was more careful about being in the sun but my word your pregnant skin is a lot more sensitive!

Hey! We’ve nearly got the same due date - I’m 16 + 6 😊
I had my 16 week appointment last week and I did get to hear the heartbeat, however I’ve heard that some hospitals don’t do this anymore. Other than that the appointment was just the usual - checking urine sample, blood pressure and going through blood test results.

I had my 16 week appt this morning (I'm 17+1, no idea why it's a week late) and she said they don't listen to the heartbeat as standard as it's a bit iffy they can find it at this stage and they don't want to panic mums to be. I was a bit disappointed but hey ho.

I wonder how many of the babies in this group will arrive on their due date?! My first was 4 days early and if this one follows suit then it'd arrive on my Dad's 70th! I'm not sure how he feels about sharing his birthday!

Hi all! New to this, first time mum to be & currently 17+2 with midwife appointment tomorrow! In that strange phase where symptoms seem to have faded & I don’t think I’ve felt movement yet, so hoping everything is ok! Hopefully they’ll let me hear heartbeat tomorrow though I know it’s not a given. Looking forward to following everyone’s journey - Due 3rd Nov 🙂

DH was born on his grandma's birthday! I share a birthday with my twin (obviously 😂) and my brother is 4 days after me, DH is 2 days after me and my FIL one day after me. That's probably confusing but yeah, loads of family birthdays in the same week. I hope my baby is not early so she doesn't add to that chaos!

My scan today was good, the Dr checked everything really carefully as I was so nervous. The only thing she commented on as being a bit different was that the placenta was very large and split into two parts. I had this with DD as well although it was never noticed prior to delivery.

Thanks @muddlingthrou and @PeachDahlia !! I guess hearing the heartbeat would be amazing, however if they couldn't find it that would definitely panic me so maybe best to leave it

@Hilrobco Aw we have the same due date & I totally agree about being in that limbo stage where I don’t really feel that pregnant - I could pass for being really bloated & not really feeling proper movements yet, and symptoms have lifted lots compared to the first trimester!
