Hi. Can I join please? I think my due date is 07/01/25. I’ve previously had two MC. Convinced myself this won’t go further too. I did initially have sore gums, really sore boobs and increased intense hunger but those seem to have gone now? Has anyone else experienced that?

pinkbeanie · 05/05/2024 18:16

Hi guys tentatively joining you here after a positive test on Monday. Not sure of my due date as I had a MC almost 7 weeks ago and have had no period in between. I thought the positive test may be down to retained product from the MC but 2 blood tests later HCG going from 195- 524 they have said it's a new pregnancy. Very shocked, happy and nervous! Got a scan on 16th at EPU to see how many weeks I am. Test pic is from yesterday. Congrats everyone 😊

Welcome to everyone who has joined 🤩

@pinkbeanie I've also had a miscarriage and pregnant again with no period in between 👋🏼

pinkbeanie · 05/05/2024 20:42

@CadoAvo it's such a strange headspace to be in isn't it? Here's to a happy, healthy 9 months 😊

McConkeysPlate · 05/05/2024 23:10

Are there any other significantly older women here?

Firsttimetrier · 05/05/2024 23:14

I’m a bit worried as I’m not getting any symptoms over the last few days but can’t remember what I had with my first pregnancy..

It’s still early days as I’d be 5 weeks on Tuesday, but wondering if anyone is the same? Genuinely could forget I had a BFP on Tuesday..

MrsJGrealish · 06/05/2024 03:19

Hoping to join. Will be super quiet til 6 weeks, I feel like I'm tempting fate 🙈Positive on Saturday at 9/10 dpo but why can't I sleep?!

@McConkeysPlate and the answer to your question is me ❤️

Congratulations to everyone on this thread!!

Sam30031990 · 06/05/2024 06:33

I’m exactly the same, will be 5 weeks on Tuesday but also slightly lacking in symptoms?! With my first MC I had all the symptoms and I did have a scan and saw a baby and heartbeat but lost it at 11+ weeks. As this was my most successful pregnancy so far, I’m worried that lack of symptoms mean it won’t progress any further? I remember my boobs being agony last time but lost it at 6+4 weeks so maybe actually symptoms don’t mean anything?

Firsttimetrier · 06/05/2024 07:23

@Sam30031990 sorry to hear about your previous MC.

I had pretty bad nausea with my son until about 14 weeks but can’t remember when it started. My boobs were also agony too first time around but wondering if that won’t happen this time as I BF for 15 months?

Forgot how much anxiety there was and I’m trying to remain calm as we’re away with friends for the bank holiday! I’ll do a clear blue weeks tests when I get home and hope it’s going in the right direction.

Im
the same as you this time no real symptoms but the one I lost at 8 weeks though was only measuring 6+4 I was constantly sick couldn’t keep anything down, boobs were so sore but this time still very early days no real symptoms.

Babyenroute · 06/05/2024 08:12

Hello all, can I join? I got my BFP yesterday which in all honestly is a huge shock as my first was IVF and we expected to have to go down that route again! Very happy though.

Orlahoping · 06/05/2024 08:49

@Firsttimetrierand @Sam30031990 I am the same with limited symptoms. I am 5w3d today. Last time I was already nauseous by this point. I have had a couple of HCG blood tests last week which did show that things were moving in the right direction.

My last (and first) pregnancy was a loss at 12/13 weeks so as I know many of you understand, I'm very nervous.

@McConkeysPlate what counts? I feel old at 38 with my (fingers crossed!) first baby, but I know that isn't really very old at all!

What exercise are people doing? My main exercise is climbing and weightlifting and there's no clear guidance on whether I should continue or not. I have done gently so far, but with a lot of nerves 😬

Huge congratulations @Babyenroute

McConkeysPlate · 06/05/2024 09:10

@Orlahoping i am 47, with a Mirena coil 🤦🏼‍♀️

Orlahoping · 06/05/2024 09:18

@McConkeysPlate wow! That must have been a massive surprise. Congratulations..I imagine it brings up a lot of different feelings though.

How are you feeling today?

pinkbeanie · 06/05/2024 09:47

@McConkeysPlate I'll be 39 this month so deffo on the older category 😂

I don't have many symptoms other than sore boobs and not much of an appetite. I'm having really restless sleep though which is annoying 😂😂

McConkeysPlate · 06/05/2024 10:02

@Orlahoping massive massive shock. And I am really aware this is going to be high risk and may be a sad outcome.

Troptolate · 06/05/2024 10:03

@Firsttimetrier
Hiya, i’m in the same boat.
Only symptom i’ve had is sore boobs and in the past few days that has disappeared.
have had 3 MC’s already and I remember with my latest one (last month) I had similar thing where my sore boobs disappeared.
Had my hcg checked and it had doubled by saturday (2 days ago)
Have a scan at EPU on wednesday so praying it doesn’t go the same way!

MrsJGrealish · 06/05/2024 11:32

@McConkeysPlate just omg 😱 I'm early 40s and was about to get the mirena in last Tuesday. Hope you're ok xx

Hopingtobe4 · 06/05/2024 12:26

Hey just wondering does anyone know how much caffeine is in azera instant coffee? I've been googling and can't fins out.

I know people have different thoughts around caffeine during pregnancy,I am only drinking one cup a day but could probably drink more due to tiredness and a toddler and I am needing fizzy drinks as the dsy goes on to settle my nausea lol.

Congratulations I run alot and was training for a marathon. I lost my last one at 8 weeks stopped growing at 6+5 and I was running then but now I think I’ll stop training for races and just gently run for fitness. I was told to carry on what I was doing before hand don’t start anything new but scale done a bit. But I’m older at 42.

WonderingAboutBabies · 06/05/2024 15:49

@Orlahoping congratulations!! Hoping for a smooth pregnancy for you 😊

I also weightlift and run, but had a 4 week break due to an ankle injury... and I got pregnant! So going to resume running very gently and weight train lightly. Planning to switch to yoga at some point, which I love!

Firsttimetrier · 06/05/2024 19:09

Feeling a bit more reassured after doing a test and getting decent progression from the last test I did on Thursday (3rd down) 🤞🏽

Hope everyone is okay!
