A little vulnerable here but are any of you also on setraline? I spoke to my doctor about it and they said they advise I continue taking it and that the risks are very low/rare. But I may try to come off. Any experience with this anyone?

BeLemonQuoter · 23/05/2024 18:40

@Ramonav88 I am not taking sertraline, but I used to and did a research at that time and I think your mental is really important at this time, as pregnancy is an emotionally difficult period

Orlahoping · 23/05/2024 18:42

@Ramonav88 I was taking it until about 8 weeks, slowly weaning off. My GP did suggest I stay on it and it was my choice to stop. It wasn't that bad, I just tapered off as slowly as I could. If I had managed to get back on it before I got pregnant again post MC I would have stayed on it. There's really such a limited risk and your mental health has to be priority.

I'm on fluoxetine and was on it all through my first pregnancy. My doctor did mention switching to Sertraline closer to my due date as it's the best one to be on when breastfeeding, however my son arrived early so never got the chance to switch but had no problems on fluoxetine anyway. I'll continue to take it throughout this pregnancy as well.

LS888 · 23/05/2024 19:44

@Vik27 sorry to hear you have had some spotting. Hope the scan was reassuring for you. The first 12 weeks are such an anxious time. Hope you are ok.

MsSandyToes · 23/05/2024 20:20

@Vik27 sorry to hear you’ve had spotting. I had it in my last pregnancy and even some bleeding at 9 weeks. I was told it’s quite common after ivf because our bodies have been through so much already. So glad you got to see the heartbeat though. Hopefully it’s put your mind at ease.

I’m still obsessively testing with the cheapies, I know line progression isn’t a true indicator but after my miscarriage in March I just can’t help myself! Anyone else still testing daily? 😅

LS888 · 23/05/2024 20:22

@MsSandyToes I’m testing every few days on cheapies and they have got stronger each time. I have one more digital with weeks indicator so might try that next week. We are going away for a few days with my SIL and her family and they don’t know yet so hoping this might break the habit… or I will test when I get back!!

LS888 · 23/05/2024 15:08

@EnidH00pes welcome! Ahhh morning sickness is the worst. I was only sick a few times with my last pregnancy and nothing yet 🤞🏻 but the nausea both times has been awful. So I feel for you wife!! Hope all goes well with the scan. Out of the 9 couples in my NCT group last time - 3 of them had IVF. Just think the science is amazing.

Ahh yeah the science just blows my mind. Her poor body has been through so much though as she's been in hospital with hyper stimulation of the ovaries caused by the meds too. She's incredible.

Just trying not to get too ahead of myself excited. This baby has been a very long time coming so crossing everything we have that it'll be ok...

alwaysseeingstars · 24/05/2024 07:47

Hi all, hoping to join if possible please! Met a load of lovely women whilst TTC and having a baby last year so would love to find the same sort of thing.
I'm 5+6, have one baby girl (nearly 14m) and had an ectopic in January and had to have a tube removed. Terrified this could be another ectopic but they've booked me for a 7w scan next week so keeping my fingers crossed!
Hope you're all doing okay and am looking forward to chatting to you all 💛

DaringlyDizzy · 24/05/2024 09:55

So EPU called late last night and my HCG has gone up from 880 to 2200!! I cant believe it. Scan tomorrow and again in 2 weeks. I really cant wrap my head around it. It doesnt feel real!!

Mariigolds · 24/05/2024 10:11

Hello all! Congratulations to all the mums I didn’t get to greet. It’s a very exciting journey and it’s a pleasure to be sharing it with you!

I apologise for returning late, there were worries about a miscarriage/ectopic pregnancy, but all is well!

@Lemonyfire@Sarahclairee@DaringlyDizzy Thank you all for volunteering, it’s deeply appreciated. Since it seems that a WhatsApp group is preferred, I’ll create that first.

——

After scrolling through the chat, I see @Lemonyfire made a Facebook group. Thank you deeply for this! I haven’t been able to join the group either - similar issues with being taken to the home page.

Would a WhatsApp group still be needed?

@DaringlyDizzy That’s incredible news! I recently just had a similar experience so I know how it feels! Good luck on your scan!

Is anyone experiencing extreme fatigue and exhaustion. I’m constantly sleeping and napping whenever I can. I’m hoping this will stop from week 12.

Lemonyfire · 24/05/2024 10:21

@Mariigolds

I'll add the link again, some people have found that if they join from a desktop it works otherwise you can pm me!

fb.me/g/p_HgS2Hcx7PMsECZWS/FShKTU1A

I probably won't join a WhatsApp group yet ( just because I can't currently Handle the amount of groups I'm in at the moment with school etc!) but maybe in future 😁

Glad to hear all is ok ❤️

Sarahclairee · 24/05/2024 10:23

@Mariigolds yes a WhatsApp group would be perfect for me to join!
im currently 7 weeks 5 days!
constant nausea, fatigue, cramping & loss of appetite! Having to eat little and slow to try ease the nausea but it’s hard!!!

Thank you @Lemonyfire for being kind.

Thank you for the link! I’ve managed to join this time.

That’s completely understandable - you’re always welcome to join whenever.

@Sarahclairee It’s nice to know others are experiencing similar! I’ll create group today and add it to the forum :)

Sarahclairee · 24/05/2024 14:55

@Mariigolds perfect :)

Vik27 · 24/05/2024 16:43

Had more bleeding today (ivf pregnancy) and I’ve got a subchorionic haematoma. Any had this before? I’ve just been told to rest and it may or may not continue to bleed. Saw baby’s heartbeat again though

belleissmart · 24/05/2024 16:46

I've been so freaked out by how 'well' I've felt this week, but now I'm nauseous and achy, I really wish I'd just relaxed!

Lemonyfire · 24/05/2024 17:29

@Vik27 I had this with my first! Had a lot of blood- terrified me, saw the hb several times but never felt reassured but it reabsorbed as they said it probably would and he's a healthy 11 year old now!

Vik27 · 24/05/2024 17:30

@Lemonyfire ah that’s good to hear thanks for sharing it makes me feel better

92Char · 24/05/2024 18:03

I'm 7w1d today and booked in for an early scan tomorrow. Feeling a bit anxious since I had a MMC at 7w last October. Hoping to get good news this time just to relax my mind a bit.

BeLemonQuoter · 24/05/2024 18:11

Good luck @92Char.I am 7+1 too and my test is going to be on Tuesday.

anteklego · 24/05/2024 18:22

Hi so I had an appointment yesterday and it was good I guess I spoke a lot with her about how it would work with me being a mum and being pregnant and I think they can help me quite a bit. Also I am much further along than I thought and I am due Jan 3rd not due Jan 11th as I thought

I’ve been so anxious all week, partly why I’ve not posted much, as I felt okay but then today had to WFH from bed (no meetings luckily) as I felt so nauseous and couldn’t move.

No appetite and been trying to figure out what I want to eat to stop me feeling sick!

Relate to all of this @firsttimetrier. Sending lots of love and good vibes 👌
