Hello @SnookyPook @RoseH36 and @Fullofconfusion ! I don’t know if there’s anyone I’ve missed- feel free to add. Just thought it might be nice to have a new space as we’re all fairly similar gestation wise and we’ve been through a fair amount together in the previous thread x

@RoseH36 aww that’s good your DS is understanding ❤️
I’ve heard good things about pregnancy pillows but can’t really afford the outlay right now.

5 weeks and barely any symptoms just yet. Can’t help but feel a bit anxious about that but then the symptoms were very misleading with my MMC so I know I can’t trust them/lack of them.

RoseH36 · 26/03/2024 08:34

@CurlyWurly1991 I had one of those last time, it filled the bed 😂 wasn't the most ideal thing but needs must.

Its so hard isn't it but remember every pregnancy is different so try not to worry. I keep looking at my stomach and thinking it's not growing, I was showing really early last time. But then I also remind myself I was much slimmer last time as I'd lost weight before my wedding so it would have shown sooner than this time.

Hi, I’m 7 + 4 and I’ll be 46 when my little one is born. I have two children from a previous relationship. I remarried just over a week ago and we desperately wanted a child together. My husband has three children from a previous relationship so all together, we’re a busy, hectic but super happy house 💓

It's so hard not to feel anxious but I honestly had minimal symptoms throughout this time! It really doesn't mean anything. Even with my son I think I was about 7wks before anything really kicked in so there's sill time. I'm sure all is fine 💕

@Foxlovesfruit welcome! And it certainly does sound busy and hectic! What a lovely start to your marriage to be expecting a much wanted baby 🥰

@Foxlovesfruit welcome! Hope everything's going well for you so far, you certainly sound like you have a very busy home. Congratulations on your recent wedding 🥰

How's everyone doing? I'm off progesterone as of today. Really looking forward to feeling clean, I've hated using them. Also feel a little nervous even though things should be fine, I did ask at the 12 week scan if the placenta had taken over and was told it had as the yolk sac was no longer visible.

CurlyWurly1991 · 30/03/2024 08:10

Hi @RoseH36 its a milestone stopping progesterone! Great news. It’s not the same thing but I was taking a herbal supplement to support progesterone levels (agnus castus/Vitex) and have just phased that out. It was originally under a medical herbalist so not just a random thing! Nervewracking to stop but so far no difference that I have noticed.

I feel awful! I have what I initially thought was a cold but now I’m wondering if is pregnancy related allergy type reaction. Lots of congestion, sinus pain, tinnitus. Not something I experienced in my first pregnancy. Struggle to get out of bed in the morning I’m so tired but waking in the night completed wired. Argh…

wishing everyone well 💕

RoseH36 · 30/03/2024 08:37

@CurlyWurly1991 it is nervewracking isn't it? It becomes a bit of a comfort knowing it's been helping. Oh no! Hope that clears soon for you. My nose is definitely a lot more blocked up and stuffy and I've been sneezing loads. I do recall having something similar with my first, so many weird things in pregnancy.

Aw @RoseH36 I felt a bit antsy about coming off but it was such a relief! Like you, I'd had confirmation the placenta had taken over so that helped. I've not missed it at all! As you say, it's a horrible feeling having it in (though absolutely worth it if it helped little bean to stick!

@CurlyWurly1991 I've been very snuggly too and waking up in the morning with a completely blocked nose. I've kept putting it down to random colds but maybe it is a bit of pregnancy stuff too.

SnookyPook · 30/03/2024 09:38

@CurlyWurly1991 haha snuFFly....

RoseH36 · 30/03/2024 12:35

@SnookyPook I won't miss it, that's for certain! But like you say its been totally worth it to help little bean stick 🥰

Haha glad to hear you're snuggly, not so god about the snuffly part. Definitely must be pregnancy related.

Bumblebee413 · 30/03/2024 19:48

We’ve just been catching cold after cold here with our three year old. I struggle sometimes with a phlegmy feeling in my throat with a cold and that’s what made me sick a few weeks ago. It then cleared up at the end of February and I was delighted. This week I’ve started retching again after making terrible life choices, like daring to have a shower before breakfast, brushing my teeth and coughing… 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just over 14 weeks and huge already. Thought some of it was bloating but this is first thing today so unlikely. Doesn't help that the area above my belly button is where I had an umbilical hernia last time so it's never gone fully flat. Struggling with what to wear at the moment though, my usual jeans are getting too tight and I don't have any tops long enough to get away with wearing over leggings. Hoping it'll be easier if the weather ever warms up.

Bumblebee413 · 02/04/2024 10:19

Aw! Hello baby! My bump is very much going up and down with bloating. Although I don’t know how much of it is all of the food I’ve been eating to be honest! 🙊 I’ve been in maternity trousers for a few weeks simply because I can’t bear any type of pressure on my tummy, so unfortunately couldn’t stay in my usual jeans and work trousers. Just got it out of the loft and rolled with it 😁I think I sprouted a proper bump at 15 weeks last time, so not long to go.

Just having my first glucose tolerance test at the moment as I had gestational diabetes last time. Can’t wait to eat my sandwiches once I’ve had the next blood test!

@Bumblebee413 haha well I wouldn't be surprised if some of mine is food too. That whole hunger thing is settling though and I'm not eating as much as I was so that's good. Sounds like you'll be joining me with a bigger bump soon then!

Did they contact you for that appointment? Both me and a friend had that last time too, second time round for her they tested her at her 12 week scan, which was just over a year ago. With me I've not yet heard anything. I'm getting symptoms again though like being really thirsty and generally feeling unwell if I eat sugary things. My brother in law tested me last night after we'd been out for a meal and that was 5.1 but I'd had gammon, egg, chips and only drank water so a pretty GD friendly meal.

Bumblebee413 · 02/04/2024 14:46

Our Trust test at 14-16 weeks for previous GDM mums and again at 28/40. NICE guidelines are that it should be done “as soon as possible after booking (whether in the first or second trimester) and again at 24-28/40”

I would get in touch with your midwife if you’re feeling symptomatic and ask for a test- definitely need to get that checked if you’re feeling that way already. X

@Bumblebee413 thank you, I'll give them until Thursday and if I've heard nothing I'll call them.

Got a scan booked in for tomorrow, just had a van drive into the back of our car. I'm so worried about baby, its been a long journey to reach this point I can't bear the thought of anything happening to them 😔

SnookyPook · 02/04/2024 16:00

@RoseH36 oh what a shock for you. Are you ok? Car been badly damaged? Baby is well cushioned in there so I'm sure they're fine but it's so scary isn't it, especially when, as you say, the journey to get to this point has been so tough. Let us know how you get on tomorrow. 💕

RoseH36 · 02/04/2024 16:56

@SnookyPook I'm ok, was quite shaken up, we were picking my car up from its MOT, damage is just to the rear of hubby's car, the boot won't close but doesn't look like anything else is damaged. DS was very upset but is fine, some teens stopped to check we were ok. I was uncomfortable from SPD anyway today but don't think I have any additional pains. That's what I'm thinking and baby is still quite small at this stage so hopefully very safe in there.

CurlyWurly1991 · 02/04/2024 21:15

@RoseH36 that sounds really stressful, I hope you are ok xxx

Bumblebee413 · 02/04/2024 21:21

You’re right @RoseH36 and @SnookyPook. Baby is really well cushioned in there. You do whatever you need to for reassurance @RoseH36. So sorry to hear that though, what a shock 😞 Hope your little boy has gone to bed well tonight. Sending lots of love x

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you, I'm ok. Just want the scan done now.

@Bumblebee413 he went to bed fine,I was expecting him to have bad dreams but he slept straight through.

Car has been written off as it's done internal damage so having a hire until a settlement is sorted.

Luluem · 03/04/2024 08:27

Hello! Am 35 and 17w tomorrow with my second. Please don’t worry about eating loads, your body knows what is required! I also say that to justify myself eating like a pig too hahaha, but it will be fine in the end,
don’t worry xx
