Started a new thread as the last one is full.
Got my apt letter today for my scan in Jan will be the 11th should be 12w 3D.

@Oatmilk - it is tough but what else cam we do. Have no other choixe but to suffer and keep going. I reflect very very often in the ease of my last pregnancy. Naps when I wanted. Sleep in when I wanted. Just really self centered 😂 now I am lucky to put my feet up for 10mins.

I just think loooooads of women have done, are doing it. And I need to suck it up.
My Nausea is easing up a little the last couple days. So hopefully it goes soon.

Congratulations to everyone with good news over the last few days! :)
finally got my 12 week scan booked for the 30th December which is v exciting :)

also feeling hungrier these last few weeks, for the first 9 weeks I could only stomach plain cereal in the morning but now I’m going back to my regular toast/bagels and fruit! I tend to feel more sick in the evening though, not sure if anyone else has that. I end up making a nice dinner and then just don’t fancy eating any of it.. trying to keep eating though as it’s for the best!

that’s great news about sushi! I’ll be missing smoked salmon at Christmas, I’m guessing that’s still on the no-go list.

Bali200 · 22/12/2023 11:29

@CMRC17 yes my nausea only really kicks in from around 4/5pm and I really struggle with eating dinner. If I have a nap after work then this helps as my nausea is worse when I’m tired, but it’s too late by the time I get home to have a nap on my office days.

I’m also really missing smoked salmon, I normally have a lot of it around Christmas! This time of year is really hard especially when you’re in the thick of the first trimester, I feel like I look really boring to work and my friends for making excuses up to get out of drinking/going out!

Alwaystired2023 · 22/12/2023 11:56

@Jess725 did you call 🤣 do it today before the Christmas break!

Hope everyone is feeling okay with or without symptoms - such a magical Christmas growing all these babies that will be 6months old under the tree next year!

Busyhedgehog · 22/12/2023 12:28

My nausea is quite bad in the evenings as well...but I keep feeling queasy all day, really. Gaviscon seems to help temporarily when I get completely fed up.

Had to pick DS up from school at noon today and since it didn't make sense going home in between (takes me about 30-40 minutes to get from school back to ours...and then I'd have to drive back shortly after anyway...) I went to a nice breakfast place. It's been so nice...I usually only get to do that in the holidays. I had a fresh croissant with butter and jam and some lovely scrambled eggs with toast. Also got a decaf cafe au lait. I've missed coffee. Usually get a caramel or hazelnut latte but they don't do those as decaf here.

missmoosh · 22/12/2023 12:36

I'm just sick all day long 😂😂🤮🤮 I actually don't know how I'm gonna make it through the festive period!

Jess725 · 22/12/2023 12:55

aww lovely news I’m reading on the 12 weeks scans and to the ladies super soon, hope time goes fast!!!! So sorry for anyone with nausea ☹️☹️ I’m still not quite through it but I promise you it gets better!!! ❤️

@Alwaystired2023
no no absolutely I have not 😆 just can’t!!!
thanks so much for your encouragement!
I found a good deal on a dating scan near me and I’m going today!!!! Totally feel guilty for spending money so close to Xmas but would be fab to share news over the holidays.

is anyone else sharing any news soon?

MrsHousePlant · 22/12/2023 13:09

@Jess725 yes we are! Our parents know so far but after the scan we had this week we plan on telling extended family at Christmas then friends as we see them. We have our official 12 week NHS scan in the new year.

I think it’ll be a relief as I’ve become an actual hermit since we found out, what with symptoms, being really tired and not wanting to tell people I’ve turned down pretty much anything social for ages! Hopefully I’ll get the great second trimester feeling people talk about but I’m not holding out hope yet 😂

CMRC17 · 22/12/2023 13:35

@Bali200 that sounds exactly like me! The tiredness definitely must have something to do with it, I’ve been off work this week on annual leave and been napping in the evenings quite a bit, but I always feel super groggy when I wake up which I think affects my appetite for the rest of the night!

i agree with you on the social side of things too! I’m getting a bit sick of making up excuses for not drinking haha. Is anyone else just feeling super antisocial? I barely want to spend time with anyone other than my boyfriend - that being said, I’m excited for my family to be visiting over Christmas. But any plans with friends that are after 5pm, I just can’t be bothered. I’m supposed to be going for pub drinks tonight but I think I’m gonna cancel. I know I should try and be social but I just can’t be bothered at the moment!

@MrsHousePlant agreed on feeling like a hermit, I feel the same!

CMRC17 · 22/12/2023 13:44

@Jess725 I’m sharing the news with close family over Christmas, then hopefully good news with close friends in the new year after my scan on the 30th! How about you?

Alwaystired2023 · 22/12/2023 13:53

@Jess725 oh amazing that's great you are going today, I would do the same worth every penny put your mind at rest hope all goes well

Busyhedgehog · 22/12/2023 14:14

I've been signed off for a few weeks now and most of my social life centres around work. Most of my colleagues know what's up but the last few weeks of term are stressy enough, so we didn't really have much social stuff going on anyway. I miss adult conversations, though. I went to visit my class for their Christmas concert and it was nice seeing my kiddos and my colleagues.
A lot of my friends have already or will fly home over the holidays, so there isn't really anyone here...but that's OK. I'm fine having a quiet Christmas and NYE.

Jess725 · 22/12/2023 18:08

@CMRC17 @MrsHousePlant
exciting! Keep us updated if you fancy! 🎄

Yes I think we are telling our close family over Christmas. I’ll probably tell friends in the far future and keep avoiding the pubs and nap my way through 😆

CheshGirl · 22/12/2023 19:50

Glad I found the new thread!
Went for my 12 week scan today and then have dated me a week ahead.

The cynic in me thinks this is so that I'm "post dates" quicker as we all know they love to push an induction!

Due date has gone from 2nd July to 27th June, I'll be sticking with my original date!

Outliers · 23/12/2023 00:15

Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

9 weeks

MummyBear2519 · 23/12/2023 04:26

The 4am hunger has really set in for me. Ive snuck downstairs to have some cereal as I forgot to take snacks with me to bed last night.
Just hoping I can get back to sleep after

ceruleansky · 23/12/2023 04:45

Hi everyone!
I didn't realize there was a new thread, kept wondering why I wasn't getting notifications! Possible case of pregnancy brain? 🤣
How's everyone doing?

I'm 8 +4 today. My next scan is on 22nd Jan. We are planning to announce the pregnancy around new years when I'll be 10 weeks.
So far I feel fine, one of the medicines I take makes me extremely sleepy. Other than that it's just tiredness/dizziness but nothing too bad!
Have been asked not to exercise or travel so I'm inviting friends home to keep myself sane!

@MixedCouple @MrsHousePlant @Outliers how are you guys?

MrsHousePlant · 23/12/2023 09:05

Hey @ceruleansky glad to hear you’re doing well!
All is good here, feel so much more reassured after having a scan. I’m mainly just tired these days, oh and my skin has suddenly decided to give me a new spot per day, which I am not used to at all 😂 I’m looking forward to telling people over Christmas!

missmoosh · 23/12/2023 11:03

Had my second reassurance scan this morning! All is well and so we will be telling family over Christmas! New due date is 29th July, but they said it can still change until the 12 week scan confirms 😁 so amazing to see the wriggling around!
@MrsHousePlant glad to hear you are feeling reassured, and hopefully your skin stops treating you to spots 😂

Due July 24 - Part 2
BunBun221 · 23/12/2023 11:25

@MrsHousePlant my face is currently looking like a dot to dot! Except from.my first pregnancy I haven't been this spotty since I was a teenager!

MrsHousePlant · 23/12/2023 11:27

@missmoosh ahh what a wonderful scan! So pleased you got to see them wriggling around.

@BunBun221 Yes, exactly the same situation here, my skin has always been fine and now I look awful 😂 I can’t wait to tell people the reason is pregnancy not because I’ve let myself go haha

missmoosh · 23/12/2023 13:26

@MrsHousePlant thanks! It's amazing the difference in growth in 2 weeks!

ceruleansky · 23/12/2023 13:41

@MrsHousePlant
Yay, are you looking forward to your next scan in Jan? Im just dying to see the results of my 12 week scan so i can start telling people. I'm sorry about the acne!
I haven't noticed any new spots on myself. I've had them my whole adult life due to PCOS.
That'll be a lovely Christmas surprise!

I have weekly hcg injections and bi-weekly progesterone injections. :(
Tomorrow, I have the pregnancy glucose test. Is anyone else doing it?

BananaHammock23 · 23/12/2023 13:59

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and they weren't able to measure baby or do the screening! Baby was in the wrong position. She said everything looks fine and is as it should be, but I have to go for a re-scan at 15-16 weeks. Will be nice to see baby again but it's worried me a bit!

MrsHousePlant · 23/12/2023 14:35

@ceruleansky I cant wait for it! It’s less than two weeks away now and I know growth is pretty rapid between weeks 10-12 so I’m hoping we’ll see a nice change.

Oh wow, that’s a lot to manage. How are you feeling with it all? I haven’t heard anything about a glucose test yet but have only had the original booking appointment. I’ll see my midwife again at 16 weeks.

ceruleansky · 23/12/2023 15:22

@missmoosh
Omg what a cutie! 😍 our due dates are just one day apart! Mine is 30th July.

@MrsHousePlant
So excited for you!! I didn't know that, about the growth! Interesting..

Honestly, no complaints.. it's not the norm, but my doctor is so strict with me not doing any activity. She basically wants me to be on bed rest all the time. I'll do anything to make sure the pregnancy is viable. I can't go through the infertility treatments again!

I'm just hoping that my company will let me work from home because I work in another city and I'm required to be physically present in office 8 days a month. I haven't told them yet, I'm just hoping they understand.
