Started a new thread as the last one is full.
Got my apt letter today for my scan in Jan will be the 11th should be 12w 3D.

@Oatmilk - it is tough but what else cam we do. Have no other choixe but to suffer and keep going. I reflect very very often in the ease of my last pregnancy. Naps when I wanted. Sleep in when I wanted. Just really self centered 😂 now I am lucky to put my feet up for 10mins.

I just think loooooads of women have done, are doing it. And I need to suck it up.
My Nausea is easing up a little the last couple days. So hopefully it goes soon.

@Cherubs4 I’m 14w and I can’t see a bump in the view😅 I’m getting bigger nothing fits me and most pj are already uncomfortable but I’ve seen at this point lots of ladies having lovely bumps and I’m not near that😂

I'm 14w too and don't worry I don't have a bump in sight either! My cousin is pregnant currently 29 weeks and she said that her bump didn't properly form until 28 weeks. I'm getting wider and just looking like I've put on weight at the bottom of my tummy. Someone said below that maternity stuff makes you look like you have more of a bump x

CB2805 · 21/01/2024 16:03

@pleasehelp5 waiting on my maternity leggings to arrive so now I can’t wait to wear them🤣
I know that I will be regretting what I’m saying soon but I just can’t wait to show a bit lol

I know exactly that you mean I cannot wait to look pregnant either! Have fun lol x

Busyhedgehog · 21/01/2024 16:27

I've already got quite a bump, I think. It's baby number 2 and I remember I looked like the Michelin Man towards the end last time. I'm not really much of a fan of leggins, so I'm currently sticking to my maternity jeans.

chilliflakesmum · 21/01/2024 17:50

Baby no2 here too and I'm defo showing now 😄 I didn't really show until 26 or so weeks with my son so this is a surprise!!

CB2805 · 21/01/2024 17:57

@Busyhedgehog @chilliflakesmum my best friends is expecting her 3rd now and she’s about 16w and has a PROPER bump! I think it’s so common on your 2nd and 3rd.
currently she’s jealous of me not showing and I’m of her with her lovely bump😂😂🫶🏻

Nocoffeenotalkie · 21/01/2024 18:28

I'm 14 weeks and feel like you can tell I'm pregnant now (2nd) which stresses me out because we haven't told anyone yet. (Waiting for the NHS combined risk letter) I can't breathe my belly in now. Just the top of my abdomen moves 😄. Ordered some cheapie PJ's from Shein today because all of mine feel like their squeezing my lower tummy which makes me feel queasy.
I looked back at the photos from my first and didn't really show until 19/20 weeks.

wannabe123 · 21/01/2024 19:50

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and definitely have a little bump. I remember with my first, I felt like I was showing properly by 17/18 weeks and announced my pregnancy to my class.
My bump is feeling so achy/stretchy at the bottom.
I have a midwife appointment on Tuesday and looking forward to hopefully hearing the heartbeat!

HDready · 21/01/2024 19:53

I’m 15 weeks with my third, and well and truly into my maternity jeans!

MrsHousePlant · 21/01/2024 20:02

I’m 15 weeks with my first and just look like I’ve got a bit of a belly going on 😂 my husband thinks it’s a little bump but I think I look like I’m just eating really well hahaha

BananaHammock23 · 21/01/2024 21:02

I'm 16+2 now with my second and I've not been able to fit in my jeans for a good few weeks now. Finding it quite hard to know what to wear as I don't want to spent loads on maternity clothes! When I was pregnant with my son (also a July baby!) I didn't start showing until 20+ weeks, so the weather was a bit better and I could wear lose summer dresses and shirts etc. Worried my winter coat won't do up for long!

Welshgal85 · 21/01/2024 22:44

Thanks for the welcome! 😊

What is everyone doing about maternity clothes? I’m size 16 but not sure what to do about clothes! Should I be buying maternity clothes in size 16 or regular clothes just in a bigger size? I need a new rain coat too and not sure what to do about that. It’s all new to me 😂

Sickness and nausea seems to be easing off a bit now hopefully, I’m keen to get out and about a bit more!

Nocoffeenotalkie · 21/01/2024 22:50

@Welshgal85 it probably depends where you get them. I am the same size and order maternity in 16 from Nobody's Child and they're too big but I got 16 maternity trousers from New Look and they're fine for now with room to grow.
I am.planning on doing a mixture of both. Trousers/leggings definitely maternity maybe some dresses too but otherwise bigger sizes in tops & stretchy dresses. Can always wear post birth.
Have ordered maternity pJ's because I really dislike the feeling of squeezing under the bump on C-section area. Want some that come up to my bra 😄

BunBun221 · 21/01/2024 22:56

@Welshgal85 I found first time around that if I ordered the next size up everything would be massive and unwearable basically the whole pregnancy. So I am sticking to my regular size this time and everything has tonnes of room to grow into so I'm pretty sure it will be fine. I'm 15+3 but I look about 22 weeks... I had a stranger congratulate me in a shop yesterday... 🤣

ceruleansky · 22/01/2024 02:27

@Morningcoffeeaddict
What a cute young man, and so mature. Is he looking forward to a boy or a girl? Do you plan to find out the gender or keep it a surprise until the end?

@Cherubs4
Congratulations on your baby boy!!
No bump yet, but I'll only be 13 weeks tomorrow. I daresay I've lost some weight due to a decreased appetite but I've been naughty and bought some oversized shirts for no good reason.

Morningcoffeeaddict · 22/01/2024 06:55

@ceruleansky - I’m not convinced he really understands gender yet if I’m honest. He goes back and forth between calling the baby his brother or his sister depending on his mood. We kept it a surprise when we had him and it was the loveliest thing - the main thing I remember from his birth was my husband telling me it was a boy. This time I think we may find out just so we can stick with either brother or sister for my son to understand better what’s going on.

——

I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and definitely have a little bump. I think some of it might be the amount of crisps I’m going through but I’m sure it can’t all be that! I carried quite big and showed early with my son even though he was tiny so I assume it’s just where my uterus is naturally that it sticks out a bit?

@BananaHammock23 on winter coats - I got one one the seraphine coats with the removal panel last time and still wear it now nearly 4 years later. I do a lot of baby wearing so it got loads of use the first winter with little one more so than during my pregnancy but it was good to have the option of an expansion then too - DS was born in June so similar timings

ceruleansky · 22/01/2024 07:26

@Morningcoffeeaddict
That makes sense, he's still young. It's so cool that your husband just knew! 🤣 my husband wants it to be a surprise but I am really curious. Obviously I'm happy with either a boy or girl but I do have a slight inclination towards a baby boy. My husband wants a girl. Either way, I think I'm 90% one and done.

Morningcoffeeaddict · 22/01/2024 07:35

@ceruleansky - haha I had a c-section so they lowered the curtain for him to see so he could be the one to tell me (although he insists he could “just tell” from the 12 week scan). This time around we don’t mind but we both think it’s another boy - everyone keeps telling us they think I’m having a girl (our mums etc) so we could just be being contrary!

TWellsWellsy · 22/01/2024 12:08

15+4 and no sign of a bump...but definitely struggling to do up my jeans now!

Also, has anyone's nausea disappeared and come back? Haven't felt too bad since 11 weeks and it's suddenly hit again 🤢

Busyhedgehog · 22/01/2024 12:22

@TWellsWellsy My nausea comes and goes. It's mostly gone but I keep having an iffy feeling in my tummy and then feel nauseous in the evenings. I'm 14+2 now.

Regarding maternity clothes, I get mine second-hand from Vinted. It means I can get some nice stuff but not pay loads for it. Usually take my "normal" size.

Nocoffeenotalkie · 22/01/2024 13:39

Got my combined results today so will slowly start telling family.
1 in 470 for Down's
1 in 5000 for Edwards and Patau
Given my age of 41 these are classed as low risk. So relieved can tell my 11 year old a sibling is on the way!!!!

Jess725 · 22/01/2024 14:22

awww I havn't been to check the thread in ages, lovely reading that people are getting cute bumps now!! Us early July due dates are nearly able to find out the gender :)
I'm 16 wks today and although I can tell my waistline has gone and look very bloated, its safe to say I really do not have bump haha! It's my first, (although not first pregnancy) and I'm so keen to see bump now 😀
Anyone going to find out the gender? Personally I think I will wait but the temptation is unreal!!!!

Bali200 · 22/01/2024 14:56

@Jess725 I’m also 16 weeks today but definitely have a little bump going on, it’s been here a week or so, I must have terrible stomach muscles 😂

I admire your patience if you don’t find out the sex! I’ve already had an early gender scan at 15 weeks which revealed we’re having a girl 💗

justanotherlaura · 22/01/2024 15:14

@Jess725 I'm 16 weeks on Thursday and have a gender scan booked for Sunday!

We waited to find out last time and it was really lovely but this time we want to know if we'll be parents to 2 boys or one of each, chances are it'll be another boy as everyone in our families only have either one or the other sex, either all boys or all girls so we'd really be bucking the trend if it's a girl!

Julymumtobe · 22/01/2024 15:18

@TWellsWellsy my nausea did this, I felt better for a couple of weeks (waves of nausea and only sick a few times a week rather than day) then the nausea came back 24/7
again. I think where I felt a bit better I started trying to do a bit more again, and actually I really just need to rest as much as possible as I think for me that’s what made it come back again! Not sure if that’s the same for you but thought I would share just in case 🙂
