@DmcinT i still feel sick a lot of the time and am very close to the edge with triggers but haven’t actually been sick for a couple of weeks now. Lots of retching and urging 🤣🤣 so you could still get better 🙏🏼🙏🏼

im feeling super heavy too!! And I feel like I’ve doubled in size over the last couple of weeks!! I’m 25 weeks now - how the hell on earth can I still have potentially 15 weeks of growing???!! 😳😳 wtf??!!

peeing quite a bit in the night too!! I hadn’t realised that was a potential GTD sign so now I’m all worried 🫣

i built out crib today!! 😍😍😍

Kelb79 · 06/11/2023 22:30

PS… does anyone else’s movements feel so like trapped wind gurgling around that you sometimes just can’t tell the difference??? 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Mummapenguin20 · 07/11/2023 13:39

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/11/2023 09:31

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX i love my bump but my gosh I dunno how I’m gunna manage 16 more weeks 🙈 pgp has kicked in too. I’m doing all my pre xmas prep and wrapping now incase I just can’t in December 🙈🙈I love your bump are you finding your carrying bigger or smaller with a girl to your boys? My girls I was tiny my 3 year old son I went from a six 12 to 22 and this one I’ve gone from a 12 to a tight squeeze 18 already x xxx

msp2023 · 08/11/2023 10:41

Such cute bump pics!!

Is anyone else struggling with sleeping on their side? My ribs are starting to hurt and I also fear I'm squishing bump/baby.
I do lay on my side but I almost lean into the bump so it's pressed into the bed - does that make sense?? I can't seem to lay just on my side so that bump is just flat on the bed. I notice baby giving me a few kicks on the side I'm laying on too and this almost makes me worry that I am squishing him/her!

This may just be me overthinking it as I know baby is well protected and cushioned in there!

novamama · 08/11/2023 10:57

@msp2023 I actually just wanted to ask the other mamas too if they find it painful to sleep; I've got some toracic pain that is felt in the back of my ribs, shoulder pain and also most recently sternum pain!? Everytime I rotate from one side to the other I feel like I am going to break my sternum and my toracic cavity will collapse. Not fun at all :(

Clueless13 · 08/11/2023 11:10

@Kelb79 yes! I still have quiet days where I don’t feel baby at all and it gets me really worried. I’m 25 weeks, so I’m not sure if it’s still normal to have days where baby movements aren’t felt??

@msp2023 I’m the same and I sleep exactly the way you’ve described! I wake up with excruciating rib and back pains! :(

Kelb79 · 08/11/2023 13:03

@msp2023 have you got a pregnancy pillow? My OH bought me one a few months ago and I couldn’t get on with it back then. I sleep on my side but with one knee up and half rolled into my front so I started panicking about squishing bump too!
but i tried again with the pregnancy pillow last week and haven’t gone back! It’s great! I keep desperately wanting to roll onto my back too and that mostly stops me 👌🏼

LavenderSweetPea · 08/11/2023 13:04

@msp2023 I also sleep the way you described kind of 'leaning in' to the bump, and I feel lots of kicks where I am leaning. I don't think the baby is squished at all, just because the bump is pressed in a bit you feel more of the movement that wouldnt previously have come into contact with the uterus walls. I think it's all fine.

Mummapenguin20 · 08/11/2023 13:56

I find sleeping impossible I now sleep propers up on my side too xxx

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 08/11/2023 14:47

@Mummapenguin20 I'm finding that with this little girl I'm definatly carrying alot smaller than I carried my boys, I was massive with all of them 🤣 where as this time around I'm even getting comments like "oh you don't look like your 26weeks" 🙄 x
@msp2023 considering how small my bump may look I am massively struggling with getting comfy on a night especially when I'm trying to lay on my side, it can't be helped like as I must move in my sleep but have woken up to been fully laid on my back!? which isn't good either but I turn back on my side again 👍 we are definatly at the stage of pregnancy where I think no matter what position you put yourself in we are going to struggle getting comfy/getting a goodnights sleep especially since we all have more growing to do! 😂 x

Ahhhh you bunch of angels!
It feels so nice knowing I'm not the only one going through this - was so worried about poor bump.

I haven't got a pregnancy pillow yet because they just look so cumbersome! And I don't really want another thing taking up space which I'll only need for a few months :(
I'll try a normal pillow behind me and see how that goes for now which will hopefully stop me from rolling on to my back.

I'm so sleepy today from lack of sleep over the last few nights that I'm hoping I'll knock out either way!

CharXo · 08/11/2023 19:44

The achey/painful hips, the constant heartburn after I eat/drink ANYTHING, the constant constipation.. isn’t it just a dream 😂 I also currently feel massive.. and it’s really getting me down. I’m so out of breath by doing the easiest of things like going up the stairs which is also getting to me!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 08/11/2023 20:22

I had a bit of a panic yesterday cos I felt he wasn't moving like normal but then later on I realised he had sort of moved down again so that's why.today he's back in the middle of my belly.

Guess it's gonna be like this til he's too big to have all the space 😄

I know quiet days are normal but still can't help but panic can we?!

I'll be glad when he's here in about 14 weeks 😀

CheeseAndCrackersx · 08/11/2023 21:40

You'd really hope pjs would remain the one comfy thing during pregnancy.... wrong 🙈

Surely I don't need to buy special maternity ones

Cheetocat · 09/11/2023 15:27

Had to lie on my back yes for fundal height measurement and doppler, it was so uncomfortable, I felt dizzy afterward and got a temporary headache. I appreciate side lying now, I thought I was just blindly following the rules but I understand that it's warranted after that experience. I love hearing baby's little heart going, so excited to meet him in February!

I also got my flu jab yesterday, no symptoms apart from a bit of a stiff neck on that side, thankfully. I was worried it would be like the covid vaccine. I just had covid two weeks ago so skipped out on getting vaccinated for that. Whooping cough injection is scheduled for the beginning of next month.

I've finally got my glucose tolerance test next week, I'm really nervous for it. I know baby won't enjoy all that fasting and neither will I. I'll be glad to get it over with, everyone just assumes I'll have it because of my BMI and I'm over it.

I have my GTT next week and I'm nervous! Due to my family history and background, I'm high risk or having it! Not looking forward to fasting for so long as I get sooo hungry in the mornings :(
Better to know and have them monitor if they need to though - that's the mindset I'm trying to adopt!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/11/2023 16:37

Mines next week too.

I'm normally ok hunger wise in the morning but I bet that morning I'll be ravenous and hangry 🤣

Ebonythoughts · 09/11/2023 16:44

Hi Ladies! Can I ask a rather intimate question please? 🙈

Has anyone had an intimate wax during their pregnancy so far and if so what was it like? I haven’t had it since the start of the pregnancy but was thinking of getting it soon as shaving is really annoying with the belly getting bigger. I read somewhere that the pain of waxing can cause contractions though so not sure if it’s ok.

What do you think?

DmcinT · 09/11/2023 17:02

I had my glucose test 8am this morning, I can’t lie, I found the drink vile🤢 they said results would be back around 2pm so No call so far 🎉🎉

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/11/2023 17:12

Got bad sciatica today 🙈
Google isn't much use it just says more common in third trimester, I ain't there yet 😄

Any other ladies struggling with it?

CharXo · 09/11/2023 17:38

@CheeseAndCrackersx YES!!!!!! It flared up about 2 weeks ago and it’s causing me issues. I had a look through some threads on here and Google and apparently the cow/cat yoga pose is supposed to help. I’ve been using a hot water bottle while I’ve been sat at my desk to try and relieve It a bit but I haven’t found anything that works properly. I usually go for acupuncture when I get it bad but obviously I can’t do that whilst pregnant ☹️ let me know if you find anything that works 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/11/2023 18:13

Has your midwife been much help @CharXo?
I see mine Wednesday so I dunno whether to mention it

CharXo · 09/11/2023 18:22

@CheeseAndCrackersx I still haven’t seen her since my 16 week appointment! I see her in 2 weeks ☹️ I’d defo mention it!
