@Havanalily1806 they'll last few months unopened.

Mummapenguin20 · 15/12/2023 11:31

Oh everyone. My appointments have all changed I litrally have 5 hospital appointments and I’ll be booked in for a c-section. After talking to the diabetic midwife today this is alll super real x

Meeting · 15/12/2023 21:14

Have people already packed their hospital bags? I'm 32+1 now and guessing I should probably get it sorted. Are there any good comprehensive lists anybody can point me to?

Mangotango39 · 15/12/2023 22:14

@Mummapenguin20 I was moved to a whole other team with GD too (not in the uk)
were you always having a C-section or is that the recommendation because of diabetes if you don't mind me asking?

They said I am managing my numbers well so possible induction 39 weeks but won't let me past 40 weeks.
I have a feeling I'll go before though (sixth sense haha!)

@Meeting I'm all packed - just a few extra things to add in. I can write back out my list if you like?

Mummapenguin20 · 15/12/2023 22:17

@Mangotango39 i was so undecided and my old consultant was pushing for natural, I said to the new one today I’m scared either way I don’t know what to do she wrote a list of pros and cons of each and said we will get your section booked xx

babythreeincoming · 16/12/2023 08:17

@Meeting Haven't started yet but will around 34 weeks 🥰 The NHS and Pinterest do good lists!

My new consultant decided to give me option of a V delivery, after always being told I had to have a section. I did the same, list of pros and cons and the risks of an uncontrolled delivery have made me stick to having a section. But I have to wait until week 36 to get it confirmed.

Ebonythoughts · 16/12/2023 17:46

Hi all!

So I went for a 4D scan today! She was wiggling around and covering her face with her hands so took a while but we managed to get some pics. Some were very creepy lol but we manage to capture a smile which was lovely!

So excited to meet our little one now 🥰

Ah lovely to get a wee smile and all @Ebonythoughts did u think u could see some features from urself or oh?

girls my bellybutton is literally on the edge of popping and I’m finding it so weird 😭🙈 just in the last day or 2 it’s really started to come out (almost 32 weeks). I really need to get started on hospital bag but I’m still trying to sort Christmas bits 😂😅 anyone else not a bit organised for hospital?

CharXo · 16/12/2023 18:51

@DmcinT I’m not! I’m going to nip into boots tomorrow and get some bits I have on my list and then hopefully start packing next week. I’m eagerly awaiting for my section date but no idea when they will tell me!

Ebonythoughts · 16/12/2023 19:02

It was really lovely! Definitely my husbands nose and I think the smile is mine. We’ll see how close it is to the pic when she’s here.

My belly button has been flat for a while now, hoping it doesn’t pop out though!

Just finished my hospital bag this week and starting maternity leave next week because I’m using some annual leave first so looking forward to officially relaxing as much as I can now x

Ihatewinding · 16/12/2023 19:05

My plan is to have hospital bag ready for Christmas as travelling to family on Christmas eve at 33+4 so don't have to stress about it while there. Though am also stressing about it being another thing to sort before Christmas tbh! But that deadline will mean I get it done at least

Mummapenguin20 · 16/12/2023 19:12

I have my bag ready but not baby’s. That’s my plan the week after xmas

redxlondon · 16/12/2023 20:14

I’m planning to sort hospital bag next week. I don’t see it as a concern, if the baby had arrived this early a hospital bag would be the least of my
worries.

Meeting · 16/12/2023 20:34

@Mangotango39 yes please if you have it written down somewhere! I made a start in my notes but feel like there's a lot missing.

@Ebonythoughts absolutely beautiful!

xTinkerbell · 16/12/2023 20:35

Haven’t bothered with hospital bag yet. I’ll be 33 weeks on Tuesday. Packed about 34/35 with my other two. I’ll get everything I need after christmas and pack it then

Mangotango39 · 16/12/2023 21:02

I am pretty sure this was everything I packed ... just the last bits to put in that I am still using obviously.

I probably will only bring the kindle if I'm going in earlier haha, don't think I'll be doing much reading if in and out lol

I just finished buying things for my bag this week.
Buying for babies bag after the new year then will get them packed.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 17/12/2023 13:26

These babies are little tinkers!

I've just been at the hospital cos I had 0 movement this morning no matter what I tried to stimulate him, the min they listened to his heartbeat then put the monitor pads on me he was kicking away 🙈🤣

They like to make us look dramatic 🫢

MrsW9 · 17/12/2023 16:18

Thank you @Kelb79 @Ihatewinding for the transverse experiences!

Baby now seems to be alternating between lying sideways (looks like it's on a sort of hammock under my stomach) and vertically (I think feet down as I can feel the kicks on my bladder). Only 30 weeks so hoping it gets itself the right way round eventually. In the meantime just quite disconcerting seeing my stomach completely change shape about once a day!

novamama · 17/12/2023 18:14

@MrsW9 my baby is in a similar position but her bum is up, so the hammock is like a domed crescent and her feeties kick my bladder 😅 same feelings about weird shape of abdomen that keeps changing...

This happened to me the other week!
It's bloody typical isn't it haha
Pleased all is well

undercoverhero74 · 17/12/2023 20:08

Hi guys, I can't believe most of us are now counting down the weeks in single digits!!

Can I just ask if people have been commenting on the size of your bump?? I'm 30 weeks and almost everyone has told me how small I am or how I don't even look pregnant. It's starting to worry me a little bit as I thought I was quite big! My last fundal measurement was on the 50th centile so pretty average and I'm pre pregnancy size 12/14 so not it's not like I'm stick thin!
I just struggle to know what to say? I am 5ft 11 so carry it well and kind of get lost for words whenever someone says something. Like I have no idea if it's a compliment or not.
Any advice because it's starting to make me paranoid 🤦🏼‍♀️

user2489 · 17/12/2023 20:08

Is anyone's baby always "huddled" on the right side? Mine is head down in the right position for birth already (I am 32 weeks) and I can feel her back.. mostly on the right 😅

CheeseAndCrackersx · 17/12/2023 21:37

This is gonna sound like such a clueless first time mum question... but where do you store bottles not being used? Surely I don't keep them in the steriliser til needed?
