And this is the growth chart from my pregnancy app with my first baby. I measured big on fundal height as ended up having too much waters (polyhydramnios) which was picked up after a scan at 38 weeks for static growth due to unchanged fundal height, as you can see by the scan symbol following the fundal height diamond at same level.

Same concepts in how document basically either way. Hope this helps!

The growth spurts are real. Felt so crampy this morning, ligament pain. It’s gone now but have this crazy stretching sensation, my stomach skin feels so tight to the extent I feel pulled forward. Anyone else having this?

CheeseAndCrackersx · 20/11/2023 17:51

Ah thank you @Ihatewinding yeah I have a growth chart in my notes. I'm sure it'll all make sense to me after Wednesday 😄

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow @LavenderSweetPea x

Just had my first "are you sure there's only 1 in there" comment 🤣 I honestly don't think my bumps that big currently, you can tell I'm pregnant but it's not huge!

Clueless13 · 21/11/2023 10:46

I can’t seem to get a pattern of movements from baby, he’s active most evenings but not always - just a little anxious, when is there supposed to be a pattern movements??

amyg1985 · 21/11/2023 12:34

I think the nhs answer is from 28 weeks @Clueless13

My baby's "pattern" seems more linked to what I'm up to than times. I'll normally feel them move if I get up to use the loo in the night, reliably about 15-30 mins after eating or when I "rest" by lying down. Also when I'm running the bathroom tap! I try to remember than babies don't know what time it is and feel more reassured based on movements in response to eating etc.

Clueless13 · 21/11/2023 14:00

@amyg1985 thanks!

I always find he moves a little after I’ve emptied my bladder! But recently it’s been more “adjusted positions” rather than kicking

amyg1985 · 21/11/2023 14:29

Yeah, I know what you mean @Clueless13 - some days I have the "alien" kicks where I see my tummy move from outside whereas other times it's the swish of a roll over or pressure on my bladder... it's my first baby but my midwife seems to suggest this is all normal depending on baby's position. Soon they will have less room to move!

redxlondon · 21/11/2023 15:41

I’m having lots of cramps still today. Anyone else experiencing this? Can feel lots of movement which is reassuring and hoping it is just ligament pain.

Ebonythoughts · 21/11/2023 17:09

Anyone else got a weird burst of energy? I’ve been so tired since 1st Trimester and now I’m 29 weeks I’m feeling so energised that I’m making the most of it, washed and ironed 3 basket of clothes, cleaned out the pantry and de clutter 2 rooms in the house… I know I should take it easy but I don’t know how long this will last so I’m making the most of it! Lol. I might wake up in the morning as a tired sloth again! 🙈😂

Also trying to distract myself from my growth scan tomorrow, I don’t want to think about it.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 21/11/2023 18:10

Sounds like you're nesting @Ebonythoughts 😊

Clueless13 · 21/11/2023 18:30

@redxlondon yes one had a lot of cramps yesterday and today! Mainly around my belly but also in my vagina

Meeting · 21/11/2023 18:51

@Ebonythoughts I get that most mornings and tend to make the most of it and spend a couple of hours cleaning, prepping dinner etc because by mid afternoon I'm always tired again!

Ebonythoughts · 21/11/2023 19:50

@CheeseAndCrackersx I think I’m probably am and definitely trying to make the most of it.

@Meeting I hope I get more of these moments… most days I wake up and want to take a nap a couple of hours later 😂

CharXo · 21/11/2023 19:52

I’m also wide awake in the mornings, so I tend to make the most of it before I start work! By 2pm I need match sticks for my eyes!

I saw my consultant today and he has agreed to book my C section. I am so relieved, it’s been a weight on my mind but he was actually really kind and listened to me rather than trying to fob me off. Now I just need to recover from this cold 🤧

Sunshineclouds11 · 21/11/2023 20:18

@Clueless13 my MW said pattern from 25 weeks but tbh I haven't found a pattern as such yet and I'm 28 weeks now.
As others it depends what I'm doing, if I'm busy on my feet I'll never feel her but if I sit down I can.
She has her very active spells different times every day.
Long as I feel her within the hour I feel ok.

Sunshineclouds11 · 21/11/2023 20:19

@CharXo pleased you have your section agreed!
I'm so anxious for birth this time, first time I was induced so I felt ok knowing what I was going in.
I can't cope with the unknown and I'm a planner so want childcare etc sorted haha

CheeseAndCrackersx · 21/11/2023 20:44

@Ebonythoughts I hope I feel the same soon cos I need to get a lot done still but 0 energy and oomph 😄

& I hope your scan goes ok tomorrow.
I have mine too xx

LavenderSweetPea · 21/11/2023 21:06

I had my scan this morning, and I don't know what to think. There wasn't anything wrong per se, but baby was measuring 22 percentile at 20 week scan, and only 13 percentile now. On the plus side he's pretty proportionate.

They've said to come back for another growth scan in 4 weeks, but they just kept saying that baby is 'borderline' and that he needs to stay above the 10th percentile. But what exactly happens if he doesn't get a growth spurt and keeps slipping? I'm worried they are going to try and induce me really early or something like that. Or that I won't be allowed to try a v birth and will be forced into a csec which just isn't what I wanted.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 21/11/2023 21:16

@LavenderSweetPea did they not send you to the day clinic afterwards like where you'd go if was worried about baby movements, or could you contact your midwife just for some better advice. I wouldn't be happy leaving with that info and being left with loads of questions unanswered.

Big hugs to you xx

Callmemummynotmaaa · 21/11/2023 22:07

@LavenderSweetPea I’ve some experience with this. In previous pregnancies I always measured long limbed and smaller weight (usually predicted c 10th centile) so had extra growth scans. The reason there isn’t much of a plan based on one scan is because they are interested in a pattern over weeks. Being asked to come back in four weeks is a good thing. Means they are not too worried about you/bubba but want to keep an eye. For reassurances I’ve never had induction pushed on me. Both my babies were born light but strong - 5 & 6 lbs, my first early as my waters broke naturally and my second at term (natural labour. EMCS for failure to progress in VBAC).

Edited to add; even if centiles stay dropping, unless they’ve concerns Re placenta failure/baby’s immediate health. It’s very unlikely they’d push a c section. Generally with smaller babies they want them born BC as it’s better for their lungs!

Callmemummynotmaaa · 21/11/2023 22:17

Unfortunately I wasn’t so lucky with this bump. Todays scan has me at 5th ish centile so officially SGA (which is a big drop from “average” in previous scans). Given that mine likely does relate to placental functioning I’m now on weekly scans. Hoping bubba stays put as selfishly I’ve had one NICU baba (not for growth reasons!) and one that wasn’t, and know how much easier a healthy little one makes the first few days and weeks.

*kinda feels like this pregnancy is throwing all of the complications at me.

Ebonythoughts · 21/11/2023 23:58

Thank you! I hope you get the burst of energy soon too! It’s a lovely relief and a massive mood booster 🥰

Kelb79 · 22/11/2023 09:25

Meh! Im literally having my GTD test as we speak, the drink was fine - just like flat lemonade - but Im now stuck in a freezing cold waiting room with the most uncomfortable plastic chairs for 2 hours 😐

LavenderSweetPea · 22/11/2023 09:37

@Callmemummynotmaaa thank you for your reassurance and for explaining a bit more. Fingers crossed both of our babies grow up the scale a bit and stay in as long as possible!

@CheeseAndCrackersx I see my midwife tomorrow for the 28w appt so I'll definately ask some more questions then now I've had more of a chance to think about it

@Kelb79 good luck with your test!

Sunshineclouds11 · 22/11/2023 10:10

What's Braxton hicks like?

I didn't have them with my first but teice a week my bump is so sore and I get waves of pain.

At MW so going to mention anyway but just if anyone has experienced them
