@redxlondon im same on this, all of a sudden they are big and droopy and I feel them off my bump, it’s such a strange feeling. I was wondering if wearing a bra all the time would help. I’ve been mostly wearing more soft sports bra kinda ones for the last few months but just last week bought ones with a little more support(deff not as comfy though)

im also in the wetting myself group🙈 sneezing is a disaster, I have to change my trousers after 😬 @Nemo145 I was told progesterone to 27 weeks so I’ve finished taking them now. In with the consultant next week though so we’ll see what they say. How are u feeling overall? I’m always thinking on u xx

Nemo145 · 18/11/2023 10:30

@DmcinT No ones said to stop so I’ve just carried on. I’m 27+6 today. I’m in on Thurs so I’ll ask. How you doing with your stitch? I thought I’d still have scans to check cervix length but apparently not after 24 weeks. Which freaked me out a bit.
I still feel like I’m living in some parallel universe re losing Chris and having this baby on my own is so daunting.
In terms of the pregnancy I’m grateful for every day that passes. I’ve a c-section scheduled for 37 weeks so hoping I make it to then though my next milestone is to reach 30 weeks.

Kelb79 · 18/11/2023 12:34

oh my god yes! The leakage is real!! Never loads but when I cough or sneeze 🫣🫣
still getting quite a lot of discharge too, very white and quite thick 🤔

@Meeting i found some under bump
pants on Amazon that I tried and loved. Only about £20 for 5 or 6. They’ve got a pretty full butt area then cut away under the bump, felt odd at very first coz they’re really low on front so I kept wanting to pull them up but I got used to them quickly and now love them. I find over the bump way too much with over the bump trousers on top and the tops over that. They do boy short style ones too

Heartburn/acid reflux is kicking my bum so much this past week.
My throat burning is becoming the norm 🥴

Ebonythoughts · 18/11/2023 20:40

I’ve come down with a cold second time this pregnancy and baby girl does not seem to like when I sneeze at all. She kicks a lot every time I do and I feel it scares her lol. Trying to hold it in but it’s impossible. I won’t even mention what else happens when I sneeze 😂

Hopefully it passes soon because it’s knocking me for six.

Kelb79 · 19/11/2023 00:20

Ok… I’ve got a really weird one….. (well, I guess they’re all weird but I’ve not heard of this 🤣🤣)
Whenever I sit down on anything firm, my bum hurts 🤷🏼‍♀️😳 wtaf??
hard to describe exactly but it feels like inside my bum is incredibly sensitive… is this in any way normal???!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Callmemummynotmaaa · 19/11/2023 00:53

@Kelb79 so…bum hurts as in piles? Sadly very common in pregnancy especially as bump grows and organs shift. Usually worth talking to the GP about medicated cream as if you can keep them “inside” it’s easier than dealing with the wrath of grapes.

OR do you mean pelvic pain - my PGP is significantly worsened when sitting on hard chairs, and when I stand up can feel like…intense pressure and a traveling burning pain front my front public bone, through my groin, to my static nerve (base of spine/bum). It’s SORE! Osteopathy has been incredible for supporting me with this in this pregnancy (sources privately, pay £40 per hour and going three times has stopped me crying with pain and kept me moving).

Unfortunately both are very common in pregnancy 😭

OnthePathwaytoPeace · 19/11/2023 02:17

Hey @Ebonythoughts ,sounds like you have a lot of anxiety. I've had 3 unmedicated births and help many women do the same. But I will tell you that even if you do believe that you will ultimately get an epidural, the best thing that you can do for your pregnancy and stress levels for the baby is prepare your mind. It's not like labor is automatically a piece of cake just because you got an epidural. It's still mostly mental and emotional work and anxiety always makes it worse. Makes the pain worst. Makes it more likely that labor will be traumatic. That's why I help my clients go so deep. Almost all labor prep is mental/emotional.

OnthePathwaytoPeace · 19/11/2023 02:24

@LavenderSweetPea ,the truth is that no one can tell you what will happen during your pregnancy. There are plenty of things that women commonly experience that I didn't have happen in any of my three pregnancies. My best advice is to take things one day at a time and savor every good moment. The bad moment might come, it might not but you will miss all the good if you intentionally admire the time you're having right now.

Hope this helps.

Callmemummynotmaaa · 19/11/2023 07:50

I realize this possibly reads as a list of things to expect! It’s not. Loads of people have pregnancies without piles or pgp…I meant that if you have them, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about/worry about and the GP/other HCP can help.

*edited to say I had tried to quote my own post!

I have the same thing, feels like I've been kicked in the bum after sitting for a while. It's been going on for a good few weeks though, it's worst sitting on my computer chair!

Cheetocat · 19/11/2023 09:14

Also very pleased to announce that I do not have gestational diabetes even though all of the professionals were assuming it due to my BMI!!

LavenderSweetPea · 19/11/2023 10:56

Congrats @Cheetocat that's great news!

DmcinT · 19/11/2023 10:56

@Kelb79 I’ve mentioned this a few times on here, sitting is very sore for me, has been the whole pregnancy. After sitting any length of time I have to very carefully ease myself up slowly and right into my bum/coccyx hurts. I find lying down is the only comfortable position for me 😭

Ihatewinding · 19/11/2023 11:36

@DmcinT @Cheetocat @Kelb79 have you guys got pregnancy balls? They really help with pelvic and butt pain as distribute weight more.

I use mine at the dinner table instead of a regular chair, and in lounge for interacting with my little girl playing on the floor.

Had a 3 hour presentation at work last week and cried on the drive home after sitting on a hard chair all that time as flared up my PGP/SPD. At least in day to day work we have these really comfy cushioned ergonomic chairs thankfully.

Reclinable couches in lounge have been a life saver as well 🙌🏻

Kelb79 · 19/11/2023 12:09

@Callmemummynotmaaa thanks lovely… it’s not piles and doesn’t sound quite as severe as PGP, it doesn’t feel like joint issues at all.
Definitely closer to @Cheetocat and @DmcinT 👍🏼 absolutely feels like I’ve been kicked in the bum! Perfect description! And yes, sitting for any length of time ends up hurting but quite quickly on harder chairs. Just super uncomfortable, like my bum is gonna literally drop out 🤷🏼‍♀️😵‍💫🤣

CheeseAndCrackersx · 19/11/2023 19:17

I'm just wondering whether there is a kick guide from 28 weeks? Or do they not advise anything like that anymore cos every baby is different?

Does anyone use a kick count app?

I used a counter when I first felt movement but stopped now there’s more of a pattern. It’s really important to go by pattern and feeling than number of kicks apparently. So I’ve now deleted the app now I’m approaching third trimester.
Every baby is different so there is absolutely no set number and never compare to others. My little man is getting into a pattern of early morning, and post meal kicks.

Cheetocat · 19/11/2023 23:11

Ordered the Kinderkraft Moov travel system in Navy and the Graco Enhance car seat. Our first proper purchases for our son! 🥰 The in-laws are paying for the travel system but we had a chat about them taking liberties.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 20/11/2023 10:02

@CheeseAndCrackersx from 28 weeks I just started thinking about when the pattern is rather than counting kicks. Mine is always early in the morning, late in the evening, and she's always wriggling after food. So if I don't feel something at those times, I try to sit or lay still or eat something. Often if I'm busy or rushing around, I notice the movements less.

Cheetocat · 20/11/2023 10:28

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I notice movements way less if I'm up and busy too, it's so funny because when they first start moving you can't miss it!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 20/11/2023 12:59

Are we told babies weight or an estimate of it at growth scans? My first 1 is Wednesday so unsure what will be told really

LavenderSweetPea · 20/11/2023 13:07

@CheeseAndCrackersx I've got my first tomorrow. I think they do tell you the estimate weight.

Ihatewinding · 20/11/2023 16:58

@CheeseAndCrackersx have you been given a growth chart to keep with your pregnancy notes? They normally plot it, I think some trusts use paper charts and some use online pregnancy apps with a growth chart section. But should say weight on there, though midwives/consultants generally refer to centiles more.

Ihatewinding · 20/11/2023 17:06

This is my paper growth chart for example. They have different symbols for documenting fundal height (in cm on left) and estimated weight by scan (in grams on right).

Then can see what centile line and can follow it to see what predicted birth weight would be at each week (shown along the bottom).
