@Kelb79 yes the rolling/swirling around actually makes me feel sick, like I’ve an upset tummy. Obviously I dont want them to stop either but it’s deff an uncomfortable feeling at times. Straight out kicks are grand but it’s the swishing 😅🙈🤢

Meeting · 14/11/2023 19:53

Hi guys, have been reading all the updates but haven't really had anything new to add as everything seems to be carrying on the same for me at the minute!

Just wondering those of you who have used/plan to use formula milk, any thoughts on the brand kendamil? It seems to be really highlighted recommended online

Nemo145 · 14/11/2023 20:00

Here you are!
I lost you all.
Hope everyone is well.
Im 27+2 now which is 2 weeks further than I got with my daughter. I thought I’d feel less anxious once I passed 25 weeks but I don’t.
@DmcinT If I get to 37 weeks I’ll be going in then too.

babythreeincoming · 14/11/2023 20:01

@Meeting My friend did her dissertation on formula and this is by far the best one. We are going to give it a go for this baby!

anony1111 · 14/11/2023 20:05

@Meeting I think I'm going to use Kendamil this time round. I used Aptamil with my first but Kendamil is slightly cheaper and from British farms which is a plus for me

Meeting · 14/11/2023 20:06

@babythreeincoming thank you that's really good to know! I've heard people say it's hard to get their hands on so the last couple of weeks I've walked down the aisle on my weekly shop and it's always been available in my local supermarket

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/11/2023 20:46

As we're talking formula has anyone used the Aldi 1 previously?
I was going to use that 1

Shrillwaffle · 14/11/2023 23:06

Just saw you ladies were talking about weight etc… my baby was in the 7th percentile now 26th now she’s back on track 🙌🏻 also just got told I have gestational diabetes. Annoyingly I was bang on the threshold 7.8 if it was 7.7 they wouldn’t bother making me do all the diabetes stuff 😩 Im not a very sweet tooth person but lately we had quite a lot of kinder buenos go past sell by date in our shop we had so many I was giving them away to everyone I honestly think this is the reason it was 7.8 at all 😅 i mean I’ve changed the sugar in my diet but the other morning it was at the other end at 4 so it’s hard to know what to do as I don’t think it’s a major problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe just cutting it down a little bit?

plus they told me usually it causes bigger babies but like I said my girl is considered to be quite small and I was 6lb 4

CheeseAndCrackersx · 15/11/2023 00:19

Can you request a retest @Shrillwaffle

Shrillwaffle · 15/11/2023 01:02

@CheeseAndCrackersx oo I didn’t know you could do that?! I think they said someone will call me in the next two weeks so I’ll ask about it thankyou!! 🙏🏻

CheeseAndCrackersx · 15/11/2023 06:54

@Shrillwaffle I know they could request a retest if it was a false positive reading from what I've read on google when I was reading up about them. If you feel it's a bit much for just a .1 more then I'd say can I have another.

I have my test this morning. X

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 15/11/2023 07:00

@Kelb79 yes exactly like a squirrel rummaging for nuts! Perfect description.

@Nemo145 glad to see you and it's brilliant you've made it a couple weeks past with your daughter. How're you feeling?

@Shrillwaffle In my last pregnancy I was 7.7 in my test and they put me on the diabetes protocol and testing anyway and I'm so glad they did. Because I ended up on insulin later on. It's worse from 30 to 36 weeks with the insulin resistance from the hormones your body is producing, and there is often nothing you can do about it. It would be good to be monitored, and you'll get scans throughout to check the baby and placenta.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 15/11/2023 12:11

I asked could I be weighed today at midwife appointment and I'm literally the same weight I was when 8 weeks... surely that's not right?

The midwife wasn't concerned but I'm worried now am I not looking after him well enough in there 🙈

I did have a very rubbish appetite in the first tri and the start of the 2nd but it is slowly coming back now near the start of the 3rd

msp2023 · 15/11/2023 12:26

Hello! I have my glucose test tomorrow - just wondering if anyone's had theirs yet and whether you get told immediately that your results indicate GD or not? Or do they contact you later to let you know?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 15/11/2023 12:45

@msp2023 they told me they'd contact me if there was an issue, and if I didnt get a call, all was good

DmcinT · 15/11/2023 13:53

@msp2023 you find out that day, they will ring a few hrs later if you do have GD but you won’t get a call if you don’t have it so 🤞🏽 For no call 😅

@CheeseAndCrackersx if they aren’t worried I wouldn’t worry. I’m the same as I was at my booking appt but like u I’d very little to no appetite for the full pregnancy. My bump is growing and measuring correct for dates so that’s what they are most concerned about ❤️

Kelb79 · 15/11/2023 15:25

So I had my midwife appointment today and I’m measuring in the 10th centile!! 😳😳
she’s told me not to worry coz I’m 5”11 and have a good set of hips so she thinks babys got plenty of space without coming out front but I’m straight in for a growth scan tomorrow! 🫣

Mangotango39 · 15/11/2023 19:34

Hi all , hope your well. Been super busy the last few weeks so fell off. Third trimester next week and just feel exhausted now and trouble sleeping is back!

second gestational diabetes test next week also - levels at 18 weeks were perfect so hoping for the same!

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 15/11/2023 19:39

LavenderSweetPea · 15/11/2023 20:22

@Mangotango39 @MummyTo4BoysXXXX I've also not my GD appointment next week (Thursday) I'm dreading it. I really don't want to have to do a GD diet over Christmas

Meeting · 15/11/2023 20:33

What week does the third trimester start? @Mangotango39

Mangotango39 · 15/11/2023 20:41

@LavenderSweetPea I haven't looked to much into the diet but I saw one thing that said low carb - I love carbs - I'd cry!!!! Haha

@Meeting week 28 x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 15/11/2023 21:30

I had my GD test today.
The drink wasn't bad 😄

redxlondon · 15/11/2023 22:31
