I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

I have been stuck down by COVID. I feel crap. I’ve spoke to dr who has no concerns as I’m generally fit and healthy, he just thinks it may take a little longer to get over

TeamSpike · 09/12/2023 09:22

Oh no @DuchessofSuffolk that's horrible. Hope you recover before Christmas.

Me too. I’m just relaxing and taking it easy!

littlebopeep1991 · 11/12/2023 12:28

Is anyone else experiencing stomach pains? Getting myself worried as my symptoms are settling and I've had back pain and sharp intermittent stabbing pains Friday.

TeamSpike · 11/12/2023 13:30

I haven't @littlebopeep1991 but if you're worried give your midwife a call. Hope you're ok

Thanks, my midwife has said to call 111 or the gp before 20 weeks which is a shame as would be so much easier to check in directly with the midwife

TeamSpike · 11/12/2023 14:04

Ah that's a bit annoying. I would call my GP if I was worried about pains.

@littlebopeep1991 I’ve had this too. It can be worrying, if it doesn’t pass and sticks around I’d get checked. Mine goes and comes so I’ve read it’s quite normal so hopefully settles down for you soon.

I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and this tiredness has not calmed down at all. Anyone else experiencing this? It’s 3.30pm and I’m currently lying on my bosses sofa in his office with my laptop on my knees, I’m so so tired and have lower back pain I can’t even sit up in my chair right now!! Will be working from home tomorrow I think!

Thank you, that's re assuring. It's definitely coming and going so I'm hoping it's just some sort of growing pains!

DuchessofSuffolk · 11/12/2023 17:06

Right….. can any one help me here cos I’m having a bit of a panic. Our babies are due on June - it’s very hot in June… babies can’t control their own body temp? What kind of clothes am I buying them? At night can they sleep in just their nappy? Is it okay to put sunscreen on a newborn (I know that sounds stupid but in my head is sunscreen too harsh for a newborns skin)

help me hahaha

TeamSpike · 11/12/2023 17:42

If its very warm in June I'd probably put them in a short sleeve vest to sleep. New borns can't have sunscreen as far as I remember. I think it's from 6 months. They would need to be kept out of direct sunlight. Please remember when they are in a pram or carseat do not put a blanket or muslin cloth over the top to block the sun. It raises the temperature inside the pram considerably and can be very dangerous for them.

Yes!!! I’m 15 weeks pregnant and this morning I felt what I believe was light punches in my abdomen 🤣🤣 took me 5 extra minutes to settle before getting up! I spoke to my midwife today and she said this is completely normal and regular abdominal pains is normal as the baby grows and begins to move more purposefully xx

Suchardchoccy · 11/12/2023 20:38

@DuchessofSuffolk

I googled this and that's what the NHS says, you've made me think now!

Anyone due June 2024 and would like to join?

How is everyone getting on? I had my first scan today ☺️ everything is looking good. Baby was having a good wriggle around. Lovely to see. I'm actually a week further along than I thought so that's nice!

Had mine today too @TeamSpike, all looking good! Hope everyone else is getting on okay!

Mandy10624 · 14/12/2023 15:49

Welldone @TeamSpike and many congratulations!

I went for my first scan at the end of Nov and was told I was 13 weeks and 5 days! It’s funny I think they get more accurate the more scans they do!
my baby jumped up in the womb when I flinched at the coldness of the gel - it made my husband chuckle 🤭

I hope everything progresses well! Next big scan 20 weeks and can know the gender too! Mines in mid January - can’t wait! Xx

TeamSpike · 14/12/2023 15:53

So excited to find out what we're having. Thinking we might go for the private 16 week scan to find out the sex. I'm very impatient 🤣

My first scan is Monday. So excited!

Zoe303 · 15/12/2023 16:22

Good to hear the scans have gone well! I am so impatient to find out what I’m having at 20 weeks too, I ended up posting scan photos on a few nub theory gender prediction groups but they mainly said they couldn’t tell from the pictures! 😆

@Mandy10624 so exciting you’re feeling movement already, that’s good that the pains are nothing to worry about!

Mandy10624 · 15/12/2023 16:37

Thank you so much @Zoe303 I had been worried that my stomach felt like it was expanding painfully 🤣 but a good cup of tea and a biscuit always helps! Xx

Zoe303 · 15/12/2023 16:44

@Mandy10624 there’s so many symptoms with pregnancy where it’s like it’s totally normal except that 1% of the it’s not, it’s so hard to know when to worry! I seem to get a few cramps from time to time and then my belly has suddenly popped out loads more the next day 😆 the difference between morning and evening is so noticeable too, after dinner it’s 50% bloat 50% pregnancy belly 🤣

TeamSpike · 15/12/2023 19:29

We told dd (8) today. She's so excited. She keeps poking my belly and kissing it and saying hello baby. Lol. So cute

Had my scan on Monday! All is well but she measured me at 11 weeks six days so my date has changed 2nd July! Baby was jumping in the womb and throwing their little hands up in the air.

Glad your scan went well. Sounds lovely to watch. I have mine tomorrow and getting nervous now. Will be 13 2 and feels like forever!

TeamSpike · 20/12/2023 19:48

Aww lush @DuchessofSuffolk my little one was wriggling a lot during the scan. I'm 14 weeks today. My backs starting to hurt and I've popped. Feel too big already. I had a completely different pregnancy with dd. I had a tiny bump. I'm probably as big now as I was when I was 8 months pregnant before. So strange how two pregnancies can be so different
