I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

Hi everyone, my 12 week scan is on the 18th of December, but due to complicated history I am also getting a scan at 10 weeks, which is next week and I can't wait for. I definitely need some reassurance. This week the fatigue has really hit me! I've never experienced anything like it and just feel like I want to sleep all the time. I am being so ineffective at work!!

Mills1991 · 29/11/2023 22:34

Anyone had nuchal scan yet? Mines next week! I’m 12 weeks now (yesterday), and the pulling feeling in my belly is crazy! Feels like back in my gym days of doing crunches and sit ups but this time I’ve done absolutely nothing of the sort :)
Hope everyone is feeling ok xx

Mills1991 · 29/11/2023 22:36

@VJ88 I was exactly the same!! Used to working 7am to 9pm quite comfortably but it hits 3 o’clock now and I’m looking for my bed!! Everyone is telling me it disappears after 12 weeks so fingers crossed. Take it easy, you can only do what you can do! x

VJ88 · 30/11/2023 11:50

@Mills1991 I am definitely needing to work from home a lot more, and thankfully that means I can put my feet up on the sofa a lot more (I even ended up working from bed for a few hours on Monday!). I'm so relieved I have a job that enables me to do this though, I can't imagine what it must be like to have a job where you don't have that option.

Currently having a big nosebleed out of nowhere. Google says it's common in pregnancy

How's everyone dealing with the sickness ? I'm 10 +5 and I've been off work for the past two weeks but due back on Monday and I could cry I just feel terrible 24/7 and have a commute of an hour each way. I'm praying the sickness passes soon Its really starting to get to me.

Sandytoes66 · 01/12/2023 22:38

@LizzeyBenett It is the hardest thing! So sorry you've been feeling so awful. I'm 10 weeks and still struggling whereas with my first I felt so much better by now. Its the constant nausea that is getting me down. Can you get your sick note extended? If you're still feeling rough it's definitely worth it, or at least amended duties (and work from home to cut out that commute for a start).

How is everyone feeling? I'm 11 weeks today. So anxious to have my scan. Because of the lack of symptoms I just want to see that heartbeat. Got another week and 2 days to wait aaarrgghh!

11 weeks today too. Fingers crossed your scan goes well, I have to wait till 21st which feels forever away. I'm still really symptomatic, I really can't wait for second trimester and to feel better

Zoe303 · 05/12/2023 21:25

@TeamSpike It feels like such a long wait doesn’t it! I’ve been counting down the days for weeks and my scan is finally tomorrow. Hope you aren’t feeling too anxious in the run up.

@littlebopeep1991 hope your symptoms ease off soon!

TeamSpike · 05/12/2023 21:30

Awww yay @Zoe303 hope it goes well. Post a pic if you're happy to. Has anyone opted to get the covid and flu jabs? Was supposed to have both today but they had run out of the flu jab so only had the covid. My arm hurts now lol. Hoping I don't get a reaction.

Yes I had both done yesterday morning, covid arm is still sore today!

Zoe303 · 05/12/2023 21:43

Thank you @TeamSpike! I’m so excited. I had both the Covid and flu jab a few weeks ago - I did feel a little wiped for a day or so after so take it easy!

TeamSpike · 06/12/2023 21:01

Hope the scan went well @Zoe303 Feeling OK today after covid jab. Sore arm and headache but OK. Finding myself a bit spacey with tiredness. Managed to burn my arm on a baking tray at work today. And keep forgetting things 🤦‍♀️

Hi! I’m 15 weeks on Saturday and due 01 June 2024 - I would say for sickness I was blessed not to have this too much in my first trimester but last week was carnage 😅 my nurse said chewing raw ginger, peppermint tea and anything minty helps but different people have different triggers. I’m Catholic and I found the incense at church really set me off so I have peppermint tea with me for after service - I hope that helps! This is my first child and what has really surprised me is my tieredness! I’m a full time secondary school teacher at the moment and so is my husband and we keep the duvet downstairs on the sofa now because I’m always asleep after dinner - like clockwork 🥲🤣🤣

Mandy10624 · 07/12/2023 10:04

Good for you!! Congratulations! I work in a secondary school and had to tell my boss at 7 weeks (I’m now 15 weeks!) because I have a rowdy y9 class that posed a health and safety concern - all my colleagues have been so supportive! And covered me for toilet breaks 🤣

Mandy10624 · 07/12/2023 10:07

I hope the scan went well! I had my first scan and the scenographer said I was only 10 weeks so told me to come back and that was at the end of November so I had my official 12 week scan on the 27 November and was told I was actually 13+4 days! My baby had its legs crossed and was swallowing - it was beautiful to see! ☺️🙏🏾🙏🏾

Zoe303 · 07/12/2023 20:12

The scan went well thank you @Mandy10624 and @TeamSpike! So nice to see baby wriggling around and a relief that everything’s ok after my symptoms have been so minimal this time around.

@Mandy10624 that must have been frustrating at the first scan to not be as far along as you’d thought - but great to see your baby!! I had that aversion to smells a lot in my first pregnancy, I couldn’t use any perfumed products and had to leave the room when my partner was making coffee! It does ease off if I remember right.

Zoe303 · 07/12/2023 20:13

@TeamSpike I swear all the jabs for Covid and flu made my brain fog so much worse, after already having baby brain 😆hope you’re feeling better today!

TeamSpike · 07/12/2023 21:09

Aww lovely to hear about scans. Counting down the days till mine next Thurs. Feeling fine today after covid jab. Still wanting to sleep all the time. Going away for the weekend tomorrow with dd. Got a 3 and a half hour drive after doing a shift at work. Gonna want to sleep as soon as I get there!

Thank you so much! It’s been like random assaults on my nostrils 😂😂 I told my Yr 11 class I was pregnant today! One pupil said ‘Miss I thought you were pregnant because my mum wears the same maternity trousers 🤣🤣🤣’ one pupil said ‘I thought so too Miss because you’ve been walking slowly around the school even when the bell goes 🤣🤣’ oh dear! Children are more observant than I realised!!

Mandy10624 · 08/12/2023 15:47

Congratulations everyone!

I’m 14 weeks at 6 days today. I’m due on 1st June! I’m looking forward to my 20 week scan in January and can’t wait to find out the gender ☺️☺️ My mother in law said she’s waiting with paint brushes and has a tin of baby blue or baby pink 🤣🤣🤣

Im a secondary school teacher and told my Year 11 class today! They were so happy! Because my husband is also a teacher at the school they have been chatting about it all day ☺️ Made me smile!

the tiredness and general lethargy has been a surprise! Climbing two flights of stairs to get to my Y7 class now requires short breaks in between! So my school said they’ll put all my classes on the ground floor now so I’m very relieved!

best of blessings for everyone! We can do this! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Awh it's so lovely to be reading about everyone's scans all going well 🥰 we're so lucky! I'm on the count down to mine next week!
