I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

I had my scan yesterday and they told me I was 13 weeks, rather than 12, which was a nice surprise (hoping that means one week closer to not being sick anymore!!!) Baby was ever so quiet and sleepy, so the sonographer suggested I coughed to wake it up and it's little hands flew up to its face! So cute. I also feel massive already, definitely a second pregnancy bump!!! Hope everyone's doing OK!

ARM23 · 24/12/2023 07:10

Hi everyone,
Congratulations!!!
I’m 14 weeks…it’s been rather stressful to this point, but I’m just starting to feel less anxious (following tests/scan). Also my morning sickness has gone.
i know most people start announcing at 12 weeks, I just don’t feel ready yet. I know it would be lovely news at Christmas for our families, but now I am a bit more relaxed, I want to enjoy it with my partner, for just a bit longer.
Does anyone else feel like this?

VJ88 · 24/12/2023 10:12

@ARM23 I totally know how you feel! We've really wanted to keep it quiet and try to enjoy it privately for a little while. We have decided to tell parents only at Christmas just for a bit of a support, but after that I honestly don't see myself rushing to tell anyone else.

Mandy10624 · 24/12/2023 12:52

Congratulations! 🥳🥳

I decided to tell my parents and parents in law week 2 😅 I was very excited as it’s my first and appreciated their support and prayers throughout! I told my employer week 7 as I needed reasonable adjustments asap as I’m a secondary school teacher

I’m now 18 weeks and have really appreciated the love and support of family and friends. I told wider family just last week and the baby presents are pouring in!

Do what you feel is best for you and your baby - I couldn’t wait to shout it from the rooftops! My students are now looking after me at school which is very sweet

best of blessings!

Told my Dad yesterday and will telling my Mum tonight and hubby’s parents on Boxing Day! I don’t think we will be announcing on social media because we just don’t use it anymore. Hoping to tell friends in New Year

JRTfan · 24/12/2023 23:33

Hi just saying hello and Happy Christmas!
I am 14 weeks, due on 22nd June. 1st baby IVF donor embryo at 40 after 12 years of trying..it's been a long slog.
I've been pretty much symptom free which has been nice but also anxiety inducing! Had a few quite bad cramps earlier in week but it's stopped now and I have definitely developed a bump so I'm guessing was stretching
Having my 1st sober Christmas in a long time which hasn't been too bad so far!

Suchardchoccy · 25/12/2023 00:02

@JRTfan merry Christmas! 12 years is a long time, good things come to those who wait 🥰 we have the same due date!! 22nd June!!

TeamSpike · 25/12/2023 09:26

Merry Christmas mummies!!! Wow @JRTfan congratulations!!! Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas

Has anyone bought anything yet and if so what? I have bought a baby grow. I don’t know where to start! Haha

TeamSpike · 27/12/2023 15:09

Literally bought our first baby grow yesterday! Lovely soft white one with a hat. Think we'll probably wait until we find out what we're having next week to get more. Our parents will probably want to get us some things too

My husband wants a surprise and I am trying to convince him that he does not want a surprise. This is our first baby so we have nothing!! We need everything 😂😂

TeamSpike · 27/12/2023 16:38

Ah no! I'm too impatient. We're going for a private scan so we can know earlier 😂 I'm convinced it's a boy

@TeamSpike exactly what we done! The private blood test, I’ve known from about 9 weeks! I couldn’t wait lol. I haven’t bought anything yet I’m 16 weeks, I don’t know where to start either I feel like it’s too soon but there’s no right or wrong maybe in my mind I’m just not ready to be organised! Haha

TeamSpike · 27/12/2023 17:39

I had no idea about the blood test before. Its amazing that they can tell so early isn't it.

I’ve designed the nursery in my head today 😂😂

Carealot87 · 28/12/2023 13:52

Hey!
This is my fourth baby and with a large gap. Everything seems new again! I hope you’re all over the early symptoms now!
im currently 14 weeks

TeamSpike · 28/12/2023 14:26

Welcome @Carealot87 my dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. And this pregnancy is the opposite of my first so I do sort of feel like I'm going through it all for the first time. Definitely getting bigger now. Have started using a pregnancy pillow in bed already as I can feel my stomach pulling when I lie on my side. Also got some maternity jeans and tops off vinted

I know it's early days but is anyone planning on having a home birth?

TeamSpike · 29/12/2023 21:45

Not me. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't be allowed. I had HELLP syndrome with my first so have to be closely monitored

Sandytoes66 · 29/12/2023 21:48

Hi @Suchardchoccy - yes, I'm currently signed up with the home birth team :) After a very over medicalised (and traumatic) first birth, I thought/hoped it would be worth exploring! You?

Mills1991 · 30/12/2023 10:31

Hi everyone x

I’d quite like to have a water birth, I suffer with back pain have done forever so I think that would be ideal for me.

Is anyone else suffering with what I’m told is pregnancy piles? Goodness me I’m so uncomfortable, spoke to midwife team today and as expected it’s very common and nothing much they can do! Just multiple baths and cold compresses ☹️

I’m 17 weeks almost. Long way to go yet!

Suchardchoccy · 03/01/2024 10:21

I had my 16 week app this morning. I'm 15+4. I've signed up for the home birth team, I have so many questions

NegativeNelly · 03/01/2024 17:26

Hi all, I'm 15 weeks now and have just noticed I have a bump 🥰 anyone else got a bump yet?

Nat2903 · 03/01/2024 18:02

Has anyone had limited views on csp baby brain and everything came out fine soo scared

TeamSpike · 03/01/2024 18:25

Hi everyone. I'm 16 weeks today. Finding out the sex tomorrow eek! I'm convinced it's a boy. Haven't had my 16 week appointment letter yet. I've got quite a prominent bump now. Only the top of my stomach though. The bottom is still just squishy fat lol. Think I've felt a few flutters over the last couple of days as well. Hope everyone is feeling better going into the 2nd trimester
