I'm due 25th June 2024. So am 5+2 today. Very sore boobs and very tired. Also very thirsty. Anyone due around the same time and would like a support thread? This is my 2nd. Dd is 8, will be nearly 9 when baby comes. Let's share stories, symptoms and have a good moan when we need it!

I have told my colleagues. I work in a small nursery and I'm very close friends with everyone so I told them when I was 8 weeks 🙈

I haven’t told many yet, just two really close friends who knew we had been trying. I don’t think anyone has sussed it either. I think it’s so rude to ask someone outright, sorry you were put in that position.
I have my 12 week appointment on Wednesday so we can finally tell our families. My biggest worry is telling our son (8) because he does not want a baby. But I know he will eventually get used to the idea.

How is everyone getting on? How are you @Mills1991 ? Any more bleeds? Hoping everyone is feeling OK. Nausea is pissing me off now. Still haven't been sick. Just constantly nauseous unless I'm eating. And when I'm eating I feel fat and bloated. Feel like I'm showing already when it's probably just my usual stomach fat being pushed outwards 🤣 I'm not skinny so I just feel fatter at the mo

I could have written this myself!! Feeling very much the same!

DuchessofSuffolk · 26/11/2023 10:09

@Babyhopeful23 i know right, like what makes people think they will be privy to such private info. Especially if they are only a work colleague and no one else knows. They’ll find out when everyone else does!

Im not suffering morning sickness yest but I do wake up EVERY night around 3.30am and cannot get back to sleep for a few hours. So annoying. I also realised since I’ve conceived I haven’t had one headache. As someone who is a headachey person this is wonderful. I get a few a month!

DuchessofSuffolk · 26/11/2023 10:10

@Babyhopeful23 hopefully your so. Will come round to the idea of being a big brother

TeamSpike · 26/11/2023 13:29

@DuchessofSuffolk I'm also a very headachey person and haven't had many since I conceived. Nausea has completely gone over the last week and not feeling as tired. Getting the paranoid "am I really pregnant" thoughts again. Finally seeing my midwife tomorrow for first appointment. I'll be 10 weeks on Tues.

DuchessofSuffolk · 26/11/2023 13:59

I said this to the midwife at my booking appt. I was like I’m not throwing up like everyone else so I feel like it’s not real 😂😂

just waiting on our 12 week scan letter. Hopefully that will come soon!

littlebopeep1991 · 27/11/2023 14:19

Hi Kayleigh I would be happy to participate although have seen you can't have nausea and sickness. Is that if it's severe or any nausea at all?

littlebopeep1991 · 27/11/2023 14:21

Awesome. I'd be happy to participate

Redheadx · 27/11/2023 18:03

Is anyone else throwing up everyday? Only once a day but it’s now happening everyday! I am miserable and I feel guilty about it! Nearly 12 weeks keep trying to tell myself I’m nearly in phase 2

Mills1991 · 27/11/2023 21:36

@Redheadx im 12 weeks tomorrow and just started throwing up everyday this week! I’m hoping it’s an almost 12 weeks thing and it will pass! I’ve been sick a few times but it’s really ranked up this week! Hope you feel better soon x

TeamSpike · 27/11/2023 21:50

Oh no don't tell me that! I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and my nausea has completely gone. I don't want to get to 12 weeks and start being sick! I hope it passes for you both soon.

My vomiting was every day week 7, very nauseous all the time week 8, randomly vomited again yesterday (week 9) and now back to just feeling constantly seasick/hungover. This first trimester is so so hard!!! And the tiredness is something else. I don't want to sound moany, but my goodness it's requiring serious strength to go to work and look after a toddler atm!

starr24 · 28/11/2023 06:17

9 and a half weeks now and my nausea has progressed to vomiting...the hungover feeling is relentless!

Rooster2021 · 28/11/2023 10:35

I have been feeling nauseous and tired and just horrific every single day since week 4 (im 8.5 now). Over four weeks of hell.
I feel so bad because I can’t feel any positivity right now :( even when I look at my Flo and see what the baby would look like it makes me feel sick. I feel like im growing the baby but it’s the thing making me feel so so bad. It’s so upsetting because we tried for this and I really wanted this, and I was SO broody - everytime is saw a baby I felt like yes, im ready for another one.
now when I see a baby I feel sick again, I think it’s because I know what’s coming and how hard it is, but because I feel so I’ll I don’t have the energy to think ‘I can do this’. Hope it passes soon…

Mimi0539 · 28/11/2023 10:55

I'm sorry you're all feeling so rough. I was from weeks 6-12 and within a few days of 12 weeks I felt so , so much better. The placenta must have taken over. Now I'm just fatigued and very occasionally nauseous, but it's like night and day. I hope it gives you all a bit of hope 🤞🙏 you're nearly at the end of the slog. If you're really struggling please please see your GP and they can help. Don't feel guilty for taking time off work ... Take all the allowances you can. I'm 13+3 now and feel like I can get more excited. Thinking of you all.

Zoe303 · 28/11/2023 11:29

Hello! Second pregnancy here, due mid June. Like OP my sickness has gone away completely since 9 weeks - which is great but always gets me worried that things aren’t going to plan! I am still pretty exhausted all the time and the weird blocked nose that I had throughout my entire first pregnancy 😆 but other than that this pregnancy is loads easier than the first.

Had a private scan at 10 weeks and saw heartbeat but looking forward to my 12 week scan next week!

DuchessofSuffolk · 28/11/2023 11:59

@Rooster2021 awww your feeling are still valid even though you wanted a baby, obviously you’re not gonna gonna be thrilled with feeling unwell for 4 weeks! Don’t feel bad about feeling miserable atm!

Redheadx · 28/11/2023 18:47

Thank you everyone for replying! It’s reassuring that I am not the only one, it’s just really tough and the thought of certain things makes me want to vomit! This is my first so I’m lucky I don’t have a child to look after but it’s so hard to be positive when you feel like crap.

Sandytoes66 · 28/11/2023 21:52

It is so tough. Feeling ill takes a real physical/mental toll, especially when it seems so constant. However, it really will be so worth it! Just one day at a time and hopefully, as we get into second trimester, we will start to feel a bit more normal! 😊

DuchessofSuffolk · 29/11/2023 08:13

Got a date for my scan - 18/12. So excited but feels so far away!

TeamSpike · 29/11/2023 13:38

Me too! Mines on the 14th. 2 weeks tomorrow. So excited

OP posts:
bstar2024 · 29/11/2023 14:06

I have mine on the 11th but have known for a few weeks so is really dragging now! I've had 2 private scans so hopeful everything still going well :)

starr24 · 29/11/2023 14:48

I have mine on 14th too!

littlebopeep1991 · 29/11/2023 14:49

Mines not till 21st, feels ages away!
