Thought I’d start new one as old one was full and couldn’t see the next one x

I'm planning if I'm well enough to work up until two weeks before my due date, but I'll switch to working exclusively from home from Christmas so if baby comes early I won't be hours away.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2023 17:50

I can't wait for him to move up. It honestly felt like his foot was in my ovary then 🤣🤣

Cheetocat · 14/10/2023 18:15

I feel like my little one has beef with my bladder, the amount of bumps it's getting is crazy. 😅I love it so much though, glad he's got all that energy!

anony1111 · 14/10/2023 18:31

@Meeting have you got the link please? I'm sick of buying them and they are all baggy on my knees/legs 😫

Cheetocat · 14/10/2023 18:50

I feel like winnie the pooh in all my tops because my belly pushes them forward and the front gets almost pointy 😂

Mismatc · 14/10/2023 18:54

I haven’t developed a bump shaped bump yet, I’m just getting a bit wider all around. None of my clothes fit but maternity clothes don’t fit either 🙃

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2023 19:10

I agree with the Winnie the Pooh look 🤣 @Cheetocat

Shrillwaffle · 14/10/2023 19:28

Glad I’m not on my own being tired to the max 😅😴 on the question of clothing what type of bras should I be wearing at this point? Is it bad to wear underwired?

anony1111 · 14/10/2023 20:15

@Shrillwaffle I don't think it matters as long as your comfortable, I think it's personal preference. I got some non-wired ones from Asda a couple of weeks back as I was finding wired were digging in, not usually a fan of non-wired but they are actually really comfortable and keep my saggy boobs in place 🤣🙈

Shrillwaffle · 14/10/2023 20:55

@anony1111 i might have to do the swap to non wires soon soon, as long as they’re secured in place it’s fine 😅 I wasn’t sure if it was bad to wear underwired not

AbsolutePlonker · 14/10/2023 21:42

I breastfed my first - we started off combi feeding but around 12 weeks in she started to refuse bottle so that was that. We stopped at 22 months. It's so convenient. I would go out with just a spare outfit and nappy change stuff. And I hated sterilising etc.
Please also do your research on Perfect Prep machines if you plan to formula feed. They are not as safe as they should be.

I plan on working right until the week I'm due but I have an office job which can be done remotely, and my boss is quite supportive. I'd rather be off with baby than home alone lol.

novamama · 14/10/2023 22:13

I am planning to work until my baby comes, trying to save all the mat leave to be with baby. Hope I manage.

Clueless13 · 15/10/2023 07:36

Hi everyone, so I’ve test positive for Covid! I feel pretty rotten, anyone have experience with Covid in pregnancy and is there anything that I should do??

PeeBeee · 15/10/2023 07:50

good morning all! Has anyone bought or previously bought good quality maternity/nursing pjs/nighties? With my lg I got nighties off Shein 🤢 but I felt like a 90 year old frump in them, not to mention their terrible working conditions, I won’t be buying from there again! Thanks in advance!

anony1111 · 15/10/2023 08:07

@Clueless13 oh no, I hope you feel better soon!
I had it a couple of weeks ago, I just rested as much as possible, drank plenty of fluids and took paracetamol if needed. I think the main concern is if you have a temperature but luckily I didn't. If your concerned at all defo call your midwife/doctor
I hope it passes quickly and you feel better soon

Meeting · 15/10/2023 08:39

@anony1111 of course! Honestly for £6 each I'm so impressed, they stay up and fit so well. I bought a size medium and I wear an 8/10 x

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! £6.41 65%OFF | Women's Maternity Leggings Over The Belly Full Length Pregnancy Yoga Pants Active Wear Workout Leggings

I did this and it was good, but I had an office job and lived close to it at the time. I'm attempting it again but might ask to work from home from 37 weeks, as I commute into London and would hate to go into labour and have to travel back out home to get to my hospital. Having said that my colleague did it with her first, and she had heaps of time but 🤷‍♀️

@Clueless13 so sorry you feel sick. I mentioned Covid to my midwife as had a call scheduled anyway when I had it. She said keep hydrated and keep temperature in check with paracetamol.

anony1111 · 15/10/2023 08:58

@Proudgypsy thank you 😊 I've ordered some to try

Clueless13 · 15/10/2023 09:29

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 @anony1111
Thanks for the advice! I had a temp of 38.4C last night 😥 took a paracetamol and it came down to 37C - will keep checking regularly and taking paracetamol! xx

Callmemummynotmaaa · 15/10/2023 10:24

@Clueless13 I’m healthcare so have had Covid a lot. Had it a few weeks ago in this pregnancy (before 20 week scan) and as others said - rest and fluids! Not sure if you’ve been hit by the nasal aspect but I found lemon ginger garlic and brown sugar in hot water helped a lot (it’s crap feeling miserable and being unable to take some of the better meds!). Paracetamols ok. I don’t worry about a temp unless it’s very high and/or not responding to meds.

by way of reassurance. I’ve two older kids and also had Covid multiple times in those pregnancies - including in first wave when everyone was petrified about the impact of it. Both babies born without complications (due to Covid) and are currently bossy stubborn toddlers.

MrsW9 · 15/10/2023 12:14

@Clueless13 Hope you feel better soon.

Feel very lucky not to have got it before having my flu and COVID jabs recently. There's so much going round at the moment.

CharXo · 15/10/2023 15:23

I’m planning on working until 31st Jan (due 14th Feb) to give me a week at home on my own while the kids are still at school to get all the house sorted before they are then on half term and the baby is due 🤯 and then the house will be chaos! Good idea about working from home towards the end though..

My colleague planned this but went into labour in the office two weeks before her due date. Is 37 weeks considered full term? I’m going back that date.

CharXo · 15/10/2023 15:58

@redxlondon my first born was born at 41 weeks and second was 39weeks .. id like to hope I won’t go into labour at work! Maybe I’ll ask if I can WFH full time towards the end

Ah fingers crossed you have a pattern then! Good idea to WFH as much as you can though, I find the trek into office tiring even now!
