Thought I’d start new one as old one was full and couldn’t see the next one x

Maternity leggings are a pain in the arse really aren't they?
How big does whoever made them think our legs expand? 🤣 they're just so baggy in the leg area!

Kelb79 · 13/10/2023 14:08

@CheeseAndCrackersx 🤣🤣 I’ve got the opposite with some Jojo maman sports maternity leggings I got - plenty of bump
space but my legs are practically in compression leggings 🤣🤣 I’ve always had strong heavy thighs but they’re not that big 🤣🤣

I’m struggling with over the bump jeans though…. My bump is still pretty low so I haven’t got the full length of bump yet to hold them up 🤦🏼‍♀️ anyone else have this??
my bump seems super low……

@CheeseAndCrackersx Believe it or not but I picked up some high waisted leggings from Primark last weekend and they are amazing! Not see through or too thick but fit perfectly over the bump and look good on the legs 👌🏼

I also rate the ones from ASOS! I found H&M ripped after a few washes ☹️

mummylove24 · 13/10/2023 15:13

@Shrillwaffle yes, I need daily nap 😴 or at least lie down for 30 minutes or more 💕

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/10/2023 16:21

My Asda ones aren't too bad just a little loose in the ankle area but I bought some from new look..... terrible. I ordered 2 pairs so I've returned 1 pair.

Does anyone know if primark do maternity knickers?

LavenderSweetPea · 13/10/2023 17:28

@CheeseAndCrackersx Primark do maternity knickers, but they are the grimmest things I've ever seen 🤣 I'm rating the Asda maternity clothes and knickers. Got some great jeggings and a long sleeved winter dress

anony1111 · 13/10/2023 17:38

@Shrillwaffle I'm glad it's not just me 🙈 I have had a nap everyday for the past week!

Where is this second trimester energy please? 🤣

Cheetocat · 13/10/2023 17:49

I feel like my body craves being horizontal multiple times a day and if I'm sitting on any kind of chair with actual support my bum starts hurting so I have to stand up or go sit on the bed for a bit. No idea what that's about. 😅

CheeseAndCrackersx · 13/10/2023 17:53

@LavenderSweetPea I'll stick to my Asda knickers then 😄😄

Cheetocat · 13/10/2023 17:56

I got full briefs in primark a couple of weeks ago in one size up and they've been very comfortable over the bump and the elastic around the edges is nice and smooth instead of lacy like they used to be.

Mangotango39 · 13/10/2023 23:04

@Cheetocat omg yes! I bought some . Perfect on the belly but they were like flares on the legs lol! I do have slimmer legs in general then my size but cmon!

I’ve got some from John Lewis and they’re super fitted on the legs and bum so look great. The only problem is I need to wear a long top with them as the hip line is SUPER low.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2023 12:35

Can I just check that either side is ok to sleep on. Google says right isn't ideal either but I can't stay on my left all night cos it's always that hip which hurts 😄

Meeting · 14/10/2023 13:46

I got 2 pairs of maternity leggings from Ali express and they're amazing! Really thick gym type ones. I'll try and add a link if anyone needs it, they only took just over a week to come x

Cheetocat · 14/10/2023 14:24

@CheeseAndCrackersx You're definitely fine on either side, I wouldn't worry about it, I switch over and back multiple times a night!

Musicalitymum · 14/10/2023 14:28

Hi @LavenderSweetPea we've done nothing yet. I’m 22w+4 and it’s my first. We’ve got big stuff coming from the in-laws though like bedside crib, car seat, baby grows from my sister. Plenty of time!

DmcinT · 14/10/2023 14:31

@Cheetocat im the same with sitting, I find it so uncomfortable and sore after any length of time. I’ve quite a short torso so I feel like I’m swishing baby when sitting, lying horizontal seems to be best but obvs i can’t do that throughout the day at work 😅

on BFing I’m planing on giving it a go but I’m fine with adding a formula bottle if needed/easier in different circumstances. I assume it doesn’t have to be all of one or the other?

when is everyone finishing up to start their maternity leave?

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2023 15:17

Ah thank you @Cheetocat
I knew about the back sleeping but I just wasn't sure about both sides. I've never been a back sleeper so that bit doesn't bother me but I do miss sleeping on my front 😄

Cheetocat · 14/10/2023 15:27

@CheeseAndCrackersx Oh, I've slept on my belly for years but I am scared to even get anywhere close to doing that now, I miss it so much!

CheeseAndCrackersx · 14/10/2023 15:50

@Cheetocat my pregnancy pillow keeps me from leaning too much so I know I'm nowhere near leaning on my belly 😄

Musicalitymum · 14/10/2023 15:53

I’ve gone up a size with my m&s knickers. Got a pair of leggings from jojomama Bebe and I love them. The maternity tights were a revelation! Comfiest I’ve worn in years and comes with a pouch for your belly.

I can’t decide when to finish up. Part of me was thinking in the New Year. I’m going through a promotion interview at the moment as my
team had a restructure, so I don’t want to commit to any dates yet. Depressingly nervous my “family way” will influence the outcome.

I should have added, due date is 15th Feb but I’m being monitored by pre term clinic.

Sunshineclouds11 · 14/10/2023 16:56

Due date 12th feb I'm hoping to last till beginning of feb before leaving.
I'll add AL onto the end of my mat leave.
