I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

Thanks all!

something to consider I think as 12 weeks seems
so far away!

satellitesunshine · 08/09/2023 17:16

just a note to those talking about private scans - i work at a private scan clinic and can i please point out that booking a scan at 6 weeks is not a good idea!! we always phone ladies and ask them to move it to 7 weeks as at 6 weeks baby can so easily be tucked into the side and hiding - in which case you’d have to be referred to a hospital even though there’s absolutely nothing wrong!! xx

HavinKittens · 08/09/2023 17:53

That’s a helpful tip @satellitesunshine
I’m hoping to get a scan through nhs but will try for 7 weeks +

I think I’ll get the harmony test privately though

HashB · 08/09/2023 17:55

I think you can hear a heartbeat 7 weeks +, worth the wait!

Aimee944 · 08/09/2023 19:15

Hi 👋 hope its okay to join, postive pregnancy test currently 3 and a half weeks, first baby after TTC since June. Had a CP in July so very nervous this time round. Been having cramps and wondering if this is familiar to anyone else?

Congratulations to all your positives 🩷

HashB · 08/09/2023 19:49

@Aimee944 I’m not far enough yet, but last time I had quite bad pains that felt just like period pain and it used to scare me. I read that the change in hormones makes all of your muscles down there relax and the process can be quite uncomfortable.

unless you’re in agony I think it’s part of the course x

TTCbaby2x · 08/09/2023 19:50

@satellitesunshine I've booked for 7 weeks to be safe even though window to the womb gave me options from 6 weeks 0 days.... I'm unsure when I ovulated though so hopefully I'm not earlier than I think 🤞🏻🤞🏻

TTCbaby2x · 08/09/2023 19:56

I wonder why private clinics offer from 6 weeks if this is the case?

Aimee944 · 08/09/2023 19:56

Thank you for replying, it seems to be mild period like cramps at the minute but after ready through a few of these it's seems to be normal. Every small thing is probably going to have me on edge as with everyone else xx

HashB · 08/09/2023 20:03

@Aimee944 ive had on and off mild period pain this time too. I’m waiting for the bad cramps to hit, that’s followed by crazy constipation in my experience 🤣

Aimee944 · 08/09/2023 20:07

@HashB oh no 🙈 is this your first pregnancy? I've had a few symptoms this past week, honestly thought it was AF coming then got 5 postive tests and was quite surprised xx

positivethoughts144 · 09/09/2023 12:06

HashB · 07/09/2023 21:33

Hi all,

tentatively joining. Had a MMC in July so very nervous and happy but not getting too excited.

I’ve read through all your messages, so lovely to see all your happiness and I’m sending hugs to all the women who’ve had a bumpy road to get here.

according to NHS app I’d be due 18th May, but just concentrating on watching my tests get darker for now and taking each day as it comes

xxx

@HashB

Congratulations 🎉 I have a very similar story... we miscarried in early August and are now pregnant again... Due the same day as you... 🥰 Fingers crossed for our rainbow babies this time. This will be my first... just hoping for a sticky one 🙏xxx

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 12:59

Hi everyone, I had a chemical last month which my husband and I were gutted about.

I've just tested this month as ive been having really bad cramps and spotty skin, even though im not due on my period for another 4 days and got the below. Can't quite believe it as its so dark, i wasnt expecting it at all. I barely tested positive with my DS1.

Due date is 24th May if all goes well, and close to my own bday of 21st May!! :)

Its nice to meet everyone xxxxx

Due May 2024?
Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 13:01

@Aimee944 your situation sounds exactly like me. I had cramps with my first DC and now this pregnancy. fingers crossed for both of us <3 This will be my 4th pregnancy, and hopefully 2nd child xxx

HashB · 09/09/2023 13:04

Congratulations @Twdfn123!! That’s a really dark line if you’ve not even missed your period yet!

congratulations too @positivethoughts144 !! That’s a funny coincidence as this will be my first too! Have you contacted your EPU? I rang them yesterday to say I’d had a history of miscarriage and queried the possibility of progesterone (I don’t know progesterone is actually a problem, I’m just willing to try whatever). They’ve put my progesterone request to the side but have booked for me to go in at 6 weeks for a HCG test and then from there they’ve said I’ll have an early scan around 7 weeks. X

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 13:07

@HashB thank you :) Thats what i thought too, im a bit shocked to be honest. I definitely know it was a chemical last month as i had 2 negatives after the big bleed so its definitely a new pregnancy.

congratulations to you as well, I hope this pregnancy for you goes smoothly <3 xxx

Aimee944 · 09/09/2023 13:45

Congratulations on your bfp @Twdfn123 praying for sticky beans for both of us! So sorry to hear of your chemical last month, I had one in June and its heartbreaking 💔 still having mild cramps, have done 8 tests since Thursday and they have been getting darker each time so fingers crossed 🤞

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 13:54

@Aimee944 Darkening tests is a great sign! Sorry about your chemical as well - hopefully they will both be sticky beans for us <3 xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 09/09/2023 15:55

@Twdfn123 @Aimee944 I had a chemical last month too. I didn't realise how much fear it would cause during the next pregnancy. I've been obsessively watching the lines to see if they're getting darker. So far so good though I think.

Aimee944 · 09/09/2023 16:33

@TheBirdintheCave it's so difficult not obessessing isn't it, hoping we all come out with our beautiful babies 💜 if anyone needs to talk just pop me a message

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 16:51

@TheBirdintheCave it is definitely hard. Congrats to you hoping for a great pregnancy for both of us xxx

bellaflower · 09/09/2023 17:57

Hey everyone!
hope you don’t mind me jumping in here. I’ve recently found out I’m pregnant, first time ever. According to my calcs my due date is 13 May.
My husband and I have decided to not let people know until the scan, but I feel a bit lost at the moment so I forgot I’d join to chat to others in same boat. 🤗

Laura96 · 09/09/2023 18:41

Hi all
Got my positive on Thursday!! Very strong lines straight away but I only thought I was 12dpo is that normal??
Pic below
Clearblue digital also said 2-3 weeks so should be due around mid May I believe?
First baby and 4 cycles of ttc so all very new to me!!
Not really felt much other than back ache occasionally some twinges that come and go and needing to wee a lot
Some nausea started today and my boobs have shooting pains at times
Is this all normal?!

Due May 2024?
Due May 2024?
bellaflower · 09/09/2023 18:44

@Laura96 congrats!!
I got my positive test on Friday with 2-3 weeks on the test too.
My boobs have been sore and sensitive, but no shooting pains. But have grown a lot already.
The only other symptom I've got is heavy legs and so so tired!

I read it's your first baby, mine too. No idea what to expect

Laura96 · 09/09/2023 18:46

@bellaflower congrats to you too!!
So nerve wracking isn't it!
Hoping for an early scan in a few weeks think I'll feel better then I feel like I keep testing as I hear of chemicals and it worries me but I'm hoping my lines are dark enough for it not to be!!
