I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

@LondonGirl1992 that is such a difficult situation... Awful, awful wait...

But from one point of view, as Birth In the cave said, your little one is still there, holding on, which is amazing news...
If you can, try to stay positive about that and give that thought all your good energy.
Be optimistic and have faith in your body and your baby.
It is frustrating that there is nothing you can do more than that, but sometimes being positive in such uncertainty is no little thing.

Did they advise anything you could do? Rest for example?
I don't know if it's helpful but I remember as a child a story of a relative that had to spend almost her whole pregnancy lying down. But I can't remember why and if that was sound medical advice...

@LondonGirl1992 ah hun, so scary but you could look at it as a good outcome, baby was still in there with a heartbeat and you have an explanation for the scary bleeding. i have read lots of pregnancy haematoma stories and they all turned out fine!! Crossing everything for you and hope the bleeding stops!! Xx

Darladoes · 29/09/2023 14:57

Is anyone else having irrational rage? I am so so angry and for no reason 🙈

Yes me too. I'm so emotional my poor toddler probably thinks I'm a mad woman 🥲🥲🥲

So true! And a nice strong heartbeat. They said they’ll see at least 4 more women with bleeds like mine today and there’s a chance it could be a healthy pregnancy with a baby at the end. Just keep everything crossed for me!

thoufhts go out to anyone else going through the same. It’s so miserable and totally taints the whole experience- you shouldn’t have your first scan through tears and assuming the baby is dead. But such is life!

@eleanorac congratulations, we also took 14 months to get our BFP back (minus one chemical back in December) … it was such a hard year emotionally looking back on it and I had definitely lost hope and was prepared to start some sort of fertility treatment, but over the moon to be here now. I read people who have had previous losses or people that have taken a long time to conceive tend to be more anxious! I’m now 6w6d and time is passing alot quicker then I thought it might, and with each week that passes my anxiety is slightly reduced!! My advice would be to just pretend you fell pregnant straight away! You deserve to be excited, dnt let the time it took get in the way of that! Also stay off google and don’t read too much online as there is alot of anxiety inducing stuff online I find! I found myself reading lots of forums on MN and redddit and googling all sorts and on top of that my instagram was full of triggering pregnancy stuff so I decided to stop looking at it and feel alot better. I have just stuck to this one MN thread and my pregnancy apps!!! Want to just stay in my excited pregnancy bubble!! Congrats again!! Xx

Hello everyone. I haven’t messaged anything on here but have lurked for a good few weeks.
Im pregnant after a miscarriage and due to various deficiencies and thyroid issues I was prescribed progesterone from ovulation (Cyclogest 400 x2 daily).

I am 7 weeks 4 days now, still filled with huge anxiety on a daily basis but trying to
cope. Very annoyingly the pharmacy have cocked up the Cyclogest order. I am down to my last 5 pessaries now and they say “hopefully” it will come on the order tomorrow. I cannot take the prescription elsewhere as it is partially filled by them (that is the 4 pessaries I have).

Does anyone recommend what I should do here? The doctors are now closed - should I reduce my progesterone down to try and eke it out? I’m so worried. Thank you in advance.

Meggan123 · 29/09/2023 16:44

@Strawberrylolly88 I would say if you can’t get them for the weekend then probably best to spread them out until Monday however I would put this question in an IVF thread as they might have better advice for you!!

Strawberrylolly88 · 29/09/2023 16:45

Thank you Megan - I will do that. Thanks for taking the time to reply x

LBNM19 · 29/09/2023 16:46

I had another scan today and this time a very small fetal pole was seen, no heartbeat. I’m still getting a 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital and tbh it’s fuelling my anxiety but I can’t stop testing as I just want to see that 3+. I know I’m being irrational but my anxiety is though the roof.

I’m 6 weeks exactly today.

hCG by my blood test was:

25/09 1143
27/09 2242

So really I should be getting a 3+ on a clear blue.

Has anyone had similar experiences at 6 weeks? I’m sure of my dates.

Due May 2024?
Meggan123 · 29/09/2023 16:47

@Strawberrylolly88 hope the pharmacy manage to supply it for you 🤞 but if not try not to stress!! Xx

eleanorac · 29/09/2023 16:50

@Meggan123 congratulations!! I would agree, it was really draining. We had actually just been to see our GP at the end of august and we’re starting the process of fertility testing. She told us that sometimes when people seek help, it will happen, and we conceived a few weeks later! I’m trying not to read up too much and really want to enjoy these first few weeks and being in our little bubble. It’s just such an odd feeling not really knowing what’s happening in there isn’t it! Xx

Meggan123 · 29/09/2023 16:51

@LBNM19 I think maybe you are just too early still! And I have heard the clearblue are not reliable with the weeks on it. I have only ever tested with lines and I find I get much darker lines with SMU then FMU or sometimes PM urine. So maybe try a different time of day if you are really wanting to see that 3+ for reassurance! Try not to worry, but it could be you just need to be patient as hard as it is!

Meggan123 · 29/09/2023 16:57

@eleanorac same!! I had my ovarian reserve checked in August which actually I’m glad I did now as it came back normal!! I was concerned I had a low reserve as I turn 35 next year so I was relieved that came back ok. I was booked in to have a HSG in September(to check my fallopian tubes) but got my BFP a week before that appointment!! it’s def an extremely anxious time that I never really thought about! All I cared about was that BFP! But I guess that is just one hurdle! A big hurdle though when it takes a while! Just going to try and remain positive!

TheBirdintheCave · 29/09/2023 18:36

@LBNM19 I think it's a waiting game unfortunately. I know how hard it is having uncertainty.

jclose · 29/09/2023 19:25

Hey!

First pregnancy here, I cannot believe how tired... no, EXHAUSTED I am constantly! I keep trying to tell myself I'm just being dramatic because SURELY I'm not that tired.... but I just can't shift it!!

Anybody else?!?!xx

TheBirdintheCave · 29/09/2023 20:12

@jclose I've avoided the tiredness in all of my pregnancies. I don't know why I don't get it 🤷🏻‍♀️

UnderstatedElegance · 29/09/2023 20:19

I'm so ridiculously tired this time around @jclose. I remember being tired with my first pregnancy, but not any of the others.

LBNM19 · 29/09/2023 20:19

@jclose yep ridiculously tired I feel like I can’t even get through the day right now.

Isn't it strange how it changes! It feels like it just won't ever shift, feel like a sloth!

LBNM19 · 29/09/2023 20:21

Yes the nhs says you may see a heartbeat at 6 weeks so I know it’s not definite. it’s the clear blue thing that’s bothering me more I just don’t understand why it’s not changing going by my bloods I should be 3+. @Meggan123

That's how I feel! At work about 3pm I feel like I could actually sleep!! It's frustrating I just feel lazy all the time!!

Sandy2323 · 29/09/2023 20:24

@jclose same here I can sleep all day long , I actually don't remember being this tired in my previous pregnancies, but definitely more sick 10-15 times a day so far I'm just nauseous but definitely very tired 😴

Oh really?! Thankfully I've not actually been sick, but definitely had some nausea for sure too! I think I could sleep all day too hahah
