I'm currently 11dpo. Had a two faint positives yesterday followed by a positive clear blue this morning. This will hopefully be my second pregnancy due around 14th May by dates. Just wondered if anybody wanted to share the journey, symptoms and advice 🥰

@slowsundays what a cute picture! Congratulations.

LondonGirl1992 · 24/09/2023 20:33

does anyone know if the early scans are done transvaginally or not? I’ve booked one for a week on Thursday and I’m so nervous that there will be something wrong/no heartbeat etc…

I’ve had a cracking headache all day today and thrown up this morning- first time the sickness has resulted in actual vomiting!

Yolksac · 24/09/2023 20:44

8 weeks onwards can be seen transabdominally, transvaginally before that

Twinkles18 · 24/09/2023 20:55

Aww that’s brilliant @che222 and @slowsundays that’s reassured me a little bit now 🥰 delighted for you both!!

UnderstatedElegance · 25/09/2023 03:27

@slowsundays aww, this is so very precious. I had such a worry last night that something has gone wrong. I feel my symptoms have eased off. I'm hoping it's just worry and nothing else. Due to fly home this morning after extending our trip by a couple of nights. I'll see how I feel when I get home. Hopefully less worried.

LBNM19 · 25/09/2023 09:34

Yes until maybe like 8 weeks.

I am at my local early pregnancy unit atm waiting for a scan. I’m only 5 + 3 but hoping they will at least be able to confirm if pregnancy is in the right place.

Good Morning,
I was wondering if I could join? Baby #4 due around 28th May.
Our youngest is 11 so feel like we are starting again and from what I've read so far lots has changed in that time, lots of mixed emotions but feeling very grateful to be expecting again x

Hi @MrsB2005 very similar to me also baby nr4 due May 27th my youngest will be 12 this Wednesday:) congratulations and welcome

LBNM19 · 25/09/2023 10:34

I had a scan today and they couldn’t see anything. She said potentially a sac but only from a certain view. I’m 5+3 and now feeling very worried.

I am currently waiting for blood tests to check my hCG levels. Then another blood test on Wednesday and results Thursday.

I am feeling very worried now.

MrsB2005 · 25/09/2023 10:45

@Sandy2323 Congratulations to you too!

@LBNM19 Fingers crossed for you - will be keeping everything crossed that your bloods come back as they should be. Try not to stress (easier said than done I know)

LBNM19 · 25/09/2023 10:59

@MrsB2005 thank you. I’m sure of my dates and I know when I ovulated it was 14/16 days after my period between the 1st/3rd of September so only just over 3 weeks ago I suppose but according to my last period 18/08 I
am 5 weeks 3 days.

Sandy2323 · 25/09/2023 11:02

@LBNM19 please try not to worry, I know easy said than done I'm just getting ready for my first scan also very nervous if we will see anything I'm 5w0d today and 20 days past ovulation. Keep us updated with your blood results 🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Twdfn123 · 25/09/2023 11:42

5+5 and the nausea is awful already, plus looking after a toddler is so hard 😳😭😭

TheBirdintheCave · 25/09/2023 11:48

@Twdfn123 Yep, mine has had a lot more screen time over the weekend.

LondonGirl1992 · 25/09/2023 11:51

I’ve had what feels like period cramps on and off for the last 3 days now. It’s not mega painful and I have other symptoms such as nausea, sore boobs and tiredness- but just feeling a bit concerned as the cramps are pretty often and last for quite prolonged periods of time. Has anyone else experienced these cramps?

IVFAlone · 25/09/2023 12:08

Had a scan at 5w5d and could only see the Ges Sac and Yolk Sac. No fetal pole yet - is that normal? X

Twdfn123 · 25/09/2023 12:10

TheBirdintheCave · 25/09/2023 11:48

same, im really struggling to make his lunch as well, poor lad. Powering through to do that at least but its tough going.

its hard because its acutally quite reassuring but it didnt go until 16 weeks with my son so dreading another 10 weeks of it!! xx

UnderstatedElegance · 25/09/2023 12:18

@LBNM19 fingers crossed there's something going on and the scan didn't pick it up.
I'm another mum with a large age gap - 15 years! We didn't think we'd be able to have anymore babies

TheBirdintheCave · 25/09/2023 12:18

@Twdfn123 I'm staring down the barrel of the long haul too. I got to 19 weeks with my son before it stopped and it got worse than it is now in weeks 7-9 so... yay... haha. I'm very glad I have it though.

Husband does 90% of the household jobs at the moment.

ahh its definintely a long road for us then!! But yes i know what you mean, still glad to have it. Just hard knowing fully well this time i wont be able to lie in bed and do bugger all lol!

Hopefully time will fly by for us :) I've got a works meal tomorrow which my friend at work really wants me to go so not sure how im going to cope with that 😓

TheBirdintheCave · 25/09/2023 13:05

@Twdfn123 That's brave of you to even consider going out. It's my birthday tomorrow and we normally go for a meal or something but I won't be moving from the sofa I think 😅

BVsMum · 25/09/2023 13:18

Hey can I join,

I had 2 positive tests at 14dpo, waited tested again 5 days later...still positive.

Symptoms are on and off but much more intense than I remember for my first pregnancy: extreme fatigue, already very nauseous and been sick every other day since 1st test, appetite is on and off.

This is my second pregnancy, my first will be 2 in December, and only stopped bf 2 weeks ago which has been a life saver as I'm expecting symptoms to intensify.

According to app my due date is 25th May.

Sandy2323 · 25/09/2023 13:30

Just came back from scan seen a little yolk sac 🙏🏻❤️ 5w0d so we seen more than expecting 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
