I'm now in my 13th week & so far so good. This may sound crazy but I'm sure I can sometimes feel the baby move & have done for a couple of weeks. I know they say you can feel a 2nd baby earlier but this early?!

bozzy · 20/01/2003 23:00

Hi Everyone, I am 11 weeks today so feeling a little more confident...I am due to have a scan mid February. A psychic friend of mine last year told me that I was going to have a girl (when I asked her whether I would have children). However, my brothers girlfriend (Dutch) has a theory that I will have whatever my mum's first child was - so she is sure I will have a boy! I have never heard this theory before and when I applied it, it does apply to about 50% of people I know.....so I think it is bs! What does anyone else think?

Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't been on for so long. Have been feeling rotten, went to docs and got tablets as I was getting near dehydration, if gets worse will have to go on drip!! Had a terrible day at work today, customer was rude to me and I refused to serve her as was told this at training, my line manager however didn't back me up, I was in tears when I talked to the manager of the store, anger and humiliation!! Manager belittled me and told me she didn't believe I was told this in training!! So I said am going home and left. DH was very supportive. I will have to have a hearing now am very upset. Hope all is well with everyone, see you soon. xxx

Bump seeems to popped out of nowhere and now feel much more pregnant.

Hope everyone is well.

champs · 06/02/2003 14:52

hi ellasmum, be sure to let us know!!! hope you are well, it has been quiet round here, I keepp checking back to see if anyone's posted my 20 wk scan is 31st March- can hardly wait!! speak to you soon. xx

musica · 06/02/2003 16:11

ellasmum - is your scan really early? Mine isn't till March, but I think we're due around the same time. Know what you mean about the bump - baby is having a growth spurt I think (or mummy having a chocolate spurt....). Have you felt yours move yet? Mine is just starting to (I think) - difficult to tell sometimes.

ellasmum · 07/02/2003 14:12

Hi - am due on 6th July (according to dating scan) so 20 weeks is week beginning 17th February. Well that is what the midwives worked out.

I think my scan date is literally on the day of 20 weeks so maybe seems early. Am worried now that it is too early - off to look at diary!!!

musica · 07/02/2003 15:34

ellasmum - that sounds right. I'm due a bit later - around the 21st. So don't worry!

Hi Ladies
I haven't contributed for ages on here, so thought I would say hi again. I am now 21 weeks and 3 days.(not that I'm counting!) and having a lovely time! I am really enjoying this second trimester. I am hormonal quite alot, crying over Eastenders etc. Anyone else feeling teary? I'm also not sleeping well as this little one likes to get busy when I want to go to sleep. Have put on about 10-12lbs which for over halfway I am happy (ish) about and have ventured into maternity clothes in the last couple of weeks. Luckily the weight is really on my bump so far (and boobs!). I know what the baby is and I am really glad that I found out this pregnancy,it has really helped me bond and I am having alot of fun thinking of names. Is it just me or is anyone else missing their wine as much as I am? I am getting through a litre of apple/orange juice a night as compensation!
Anyone else want to catch up and chat?
Jessi

Hello
The time is starting to fly in!I hop everyone's "blooming", I am 20 wks due July 4th . Feeling fine but still more tired than usual which is frustrating as with dd (now 4)I felt full of energy at this point . Eating far too much . Everyone at work comments on how big I'm getting.
Does anyone know any really good baby name books? We do not have any inspiration at all yet and with dd (she was born at 36wks)we registered her the day before we legally had to and spent the first few weeks arguing about names. I'm determined to be more prepared this time.

Bears · 19/02/2003 23:12

Hello again everyone. I'm now 17 wks & just got my scan date - March 4th, can't wait. Probably wont find out the sex tho - might ask whether she can see what it is & going by her reply, if she says a definite 'yes' - Ill be really convinced its another boy 'cos I've heard they're easier to spot! If only they could be 100% accurate telling boys & girls apart - I'd definitely find out this time.

Been in maternity clothes for a couple of weeks now. Bought a HUGE bottle of Gaviscon yesterday - sure I'll need it soon. Been feeling baby for some time now, altho it did go a bit quiet for a couple of weeks.

Hope you all get a good night's sleep.

Tamz77 · 20/02/2003 00:13

I was browsing a few baby books today and was amazed at what I read. I'm only somewhere between 17-18 wks - thus Junior is about the size of a pear - but apparently by 18 wks he can make facial expressions (!) and hear noises such as my heartbeat/digestion, and noises from outside (so if you want to get your baby used to Guns n' Roses, now is the time to start playing him tapes!). Although their eyes are closed they are aware when very bright light shines on to our bellies from outside too.

MELIWHITE · 20/02/2003 09:29

Hello everyone. Not written for a while. All is well with me. Was 16 weeks yesterday and am waiting for the energy and blooming to start- or is this all a myth???? Am in the middle of selling our one bed flat and buying a two bed. All qite stressful, but trying to remain calm. Tube is beginning to stress me out. I rarely get a seat on the way to work, and as I don't really show, nobody offers me one. I suppose I have to get over my reserved englishness and ask, but find it hard. Anyone else find that?

champs · 20/02/2003 20:40

Hi all, have been busy but finally picked up energy to come here!! glad everyone is doing well. DS birthday was tuesday, his Grandparents came round but I had to work . They got him loads of pressies. His Tea Party is tommorow so got alot of goodies today. Oh well see you guys later.... Bye

ellasmum · 24/02/2003 15:02

Hi...

Glad everyone is well - I had my 20 week scan last week and we are having a boy this time (DD is 10 months) so it will be nice to have one of each!!

I am totally exhausted this time round and sleeping really badly - hope it gets better soon.

musica · 03/03/2003 16:40

How's everyone doing? I had my 20 week scan this week and it was all fine. Hope you're all doing well!

I'm looking foward to our summer arrival on the 19th July. Going for my 20 week scan tomorrow and it's always exciting to see the little one! Feeling like I need an afternoon nap these days and also really heavy.

Hi...

Am totally miserable today - suffering really badly from indigestion and can't sleep at all.

Bron - my bump is much bigger this time round, feel like I am the size I was at 40 weeks already!!!

Hope everyone else is well.

Jzee · 05/03/2003 07:00

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and it's always a relief to know that everything is fine. I was really tempted to find out the baby's sex, but resisted and shall wait for the big surprise! Hope everyone else is doing fine too.

jessi · 05/03/2003 08:32

Hi Ellasmum, sorry your having a hard time. I am also not sleeping, my baby is SO busy whenever I try to rest and my dh has taken up snoring! arghh! Just started on the Gaviscon at 24 weeks, so only 16 weeks to go now! Jzee I think you are very restrained not to find out the sex, where I live they won't tell you anyway! Do you have any instincts about what it is?
