@Vallef thanks for checking in, have been reading everyone's updates but just not had the energy to post alongside work, DD, and the million and one things we are trying to get sorted house wise.
Bumper set of replies from me below...
My pelvic pain has really ramped up, so much so that I had to phone in sick to work on Monday. I have an in person physio appt tomorrow though so hoping they can sort me out with some support bands which might help in the short term, but concious that there isn't any magic wand to make it disappear.
I'm struggling a little with the uncertainty around my placenta and delivery implications. Nothing anyone can do except wait and check again, but it is playing on my mind a lot. I do have a fair few appointments coming up though in addition to my physio appt which will no doubt help time tick along trying to fit work around them; anaethetist the 1st sept, glucose test the 4th, scan on the 11th, fetal medicine the 12th and 28 week midwife appt on the 13th!
Getting slightly jealous of all these shopping sprees haha. We can't really justify getting much more new stuff as we have all the big things from DD and lots of clothes we had (particuarly the first sizes) we unisex as we didnt know what we were having when we had DD, and being passed lots of boys stuff too. Making progress with the room we are moving DD into though, and have removed a built in wardrobe, had carpet quotes, got some painter decorators coming to quote over the weekend, started moving out the furniture etc. Picking carpets just doesn't have quite the same appeal as baby clothes haha.
@gulph loving the nursery and your room looks super organised. glad all ok from the perspective of your MH team too.
@Vallef We have a standalone baby bath that we used on a table or the cot top changer with DD and planning on doing again as we dont really have the space for one of those fancy looking ones! Must be a weight off your mind having the hopsital referral sorted too. Remember to read the instructions for your glucose tolerance test and fast beforehand, I have a friend who didn't and then had to do it twice, not something I would want to repeat in a hurry as a) the drink is vile and b) the waiting around is boring and uncomfortable in my experience! Hope you manage to do something nice to distract yourself this weekend. Can you video call in to the wedding ceremony at all?
@CR7 glad all went well at your scan, and never heard of having two placentas before either, but really pleased neither are in a problematic place. I'd have to say I'd disagree with your midwife, I've found the first movements much less obvious and a question over movement or gas! The further on you get the more obvious they are, but sounds like you are experiencing those first flutters :) Let us know how the shopping goes next week!
@BrownXeyes so lovely you are feeling movements too :D hope you are still enjoying the holiday.
@AlisonDanuta so pleased for you that your placenta has moved. sorry to hear you had an episode of no movements, but you absolutely did the right thing getting it checked out and such a relief all was ok.
@Vallef I'd be on board with a whatsapp group too.
Sorry to anyone I've missed out. Hope everyone has lovely bank holiday weekend plans? We are off to visit my parents and my best friend who still lives close to where we grew up, which I can't wait for.
