@udford my due date is also 4th Nov based on LMP and I've booked a private scan for next Thursday. I'll be a bit upset if they put my due date forward because every day is so misserable to get through at the moment. I feel nauseous all the time and have very little energy. I remember morning sickness easing up around the 10 week mark with my other two pregnancies, which would mean two more weeks of feeling like this (or worse) before it starts to subside. Sorry for moaning... this part of pregnancy sucks! Hoping for good news at the scan next week to cheer me up a bit. The anxiety and worrying certainly adds to the unpleasantness.

thecatsthecats · 22/03/2023 10:57

How's everyone getting on with brushing their teeth?

I can get about 45 seconds in before retching.

NatGee · 22/03/2023 11:02

@HayleyD93 That seems very sensible, I hope it all goes well from now until the 7 week mark - will you be getting a referral for a scan?
I love the lines on the FRER, so nice to see those strong lines come up

Bestronger · 22/03/2023 11:33

jumping on this tread as I am pregnant and according to the pregnancy calendar I am due on 5th November and I just wanna to say that I am dying from nausea 24/7 😭I am debating whether to have early scan or not to find out when is the actual due date... I didn't last time because it was planned when as this one is sooo not planned!

TMI2000 · 22/03/2023 11:38

Has anyone else found they're getting nauseous and severely dry retching but not actually being sick? I can retch 3-4 times a day however no actual sickness yet?

EBeans · 22/03/2023 11:46

@TMI2000 I was like that from 5 weeks on, just hit 7 and the actual sickness has now started, but I spend more time dry retching than anything.

@thecatsthecats yep tooth brushing is a struggle 😭 I've had to start doing it in 30 second bursts with cool down periods

Rebs23 · 22/03/2023 11:52

Can I ask everyone when they started getting nausea/being sick? I’m only 5w+1 so early days but so far no nausea just fatigue and swollen boobs have been my main symptoms!

TMI2000 · 22/03/2023 11:53

@EBeans It's awful isn't it! I would much rather actually be sick! I am taking it as a good sign though!

WiltsMum35 · 22/03/2023 11:53

Hi all, just wanted to post as a bit of reassurance to anyone who is experiencing symptoms coming and going.
I’ve had sore boobs and severe nausea for the last 2 weeks. Though both of these symptoms have fluctuated a bit.
Yesterday I had absolutely no nausea all day. And was getting really anxious after 2 solid weeks of feeling awful then suddenly it stopped. (Also my boobs were feeling less sore on some days than others)

Went for an early scan this morning and all good :) measuring 7+2 with a really strong, fast heartbeat.
I was having a massive panic over the last 24hours or so, but please be reassured that fluctuating symptoms IS normal & all can be well even if you aren’t feeling much on the ‘outside’ :)

Really hope this helps to reassure anyone who is experiencing the same xx

PS. The nausea has just reappeared 🙈

TMI2000 · 22/03/2023 11:55

@Rebs23 I only found out on Thursday, fatigue and sore/swollen boobs were my first symptoms too, I really don't know how to date myself but I assume I was around 5+4 - 6 when my nausea started

EBeans · 22/03/2023 11:56

@TMI2000 yes it's just horrible because there's no relief! Definitely make the most of it though, I'm not enjoying my hours spent cuddling the toilet at the moment 🤣 I still have the constant nausea so worst of both worlds!

@Rebs23 my last pregnancy I had absolutely no nausea or sickness whatsoever. Literally the only symptom I has was slightly sore boobs. They weren’t any bigger (sadly! 😅), and I wouldn’t have described them as ‘very’ sore. Just a bit if I poked them 😂
I panicked pretty much every day (because I felt nothing) until I could feel him moving around (which wasn’t until like 24 weeks so I was super stressed 😅)
Had a very straightforward pregnancy though and he’s now 4 years old 🙂

This pregnancy I started feeling sick around the 5 week mark (I’m 7 weeks now) but it started minimal and got worse.

it’s completely normal not to have any ‘obvious’ symptoms 🙂

NatGee · 22/03/2023 12:05

@WiltsMum35 thanks for sharing that 🤗anything that made it better when you were in the thick of it?

Rebs23 · 22/03/2023 12:09

@WiltsMum35 @TMI2000 thank you so much for your replies they are so helpful!!

and @WiltsMum35 thank you for sharing your symptoms and about your early scan. I have one booked and I’ll be 7w+5 then so you have given me such a great insight ☺️

@NatGee do you mean the nausea? x

Yes, it started that way at 6:5 for me, then gradually increased in frequency til now when I vommed up a glass of sodding water yesterday.

I've been prescribed ciclizyne though, which seems to at least let me keep a bit down.

I have a wedding Saturday which is food served buffet style on the table - dreading it!

HayleyD93 · 22/03/2023 12:52

@NatGee not sure if I will get a referral for early scan, at the moment I don't plan on going for an private early scan at the moment as feel I could put the money towards the baby's stuff. But not saying I won't change my mind as the weeks go on.
Will you have an early scan?

Mldn · 22/03/2023 13:21

@WiltsMum35 congrats on a lovely scan! I’ve been freaking out since yesterday morning as all my symptoms have gone. Boobs still a teeny bit sensitive but otherwise the nausea, dizziness & high HR have all gone. I had a scan dating me at 7 weeks on Sunday, I felt great after that but now the anxiety is back with a vengeance! So so frustrating, I’ve almost convinced myself it’s gone wrong, with no evidence other than disappearing symptoms - which is apparently normal!

doozledog · 22/03/2023 14:02

Can I join in please! I'm a little anxious, im

7+3 no symptoms apart from sore boobs and a crazy apetite, i can not stop eating! i also have alot of pain ( period cramps) all day every day. Im a little anxious becuse i had a mc 2yrs ago and that was exactly the same. Ive got a reasurance scan 1st April when i will be nearly 9 week.

Mrsrobinsonx · 22/03/2023 14:40

@thecatsthecats teeth brushing is awful 🤣 I have actually puked a tiny bit twice already 🥲 same in my last pregnancy.

@Rebs23 my symptoms are similar, sore boobs and tired mostly but I have had a couple waves of nausea/acid reflux 🫣 I’m 5+4 x

MeganC104 · 22/03/2023 14:48

Scan date booked for 21st April. Anyone else? 😁

DollyGx · 22/03/2023 14:54

Hi @doozledog I keep getting period like cramps as well and it’s freaking me out 😩 I had a MMC last year and I remember having some cramps then as well so that’s scaring me a bit, but fingers crossed for us! I have my early scan on 2nd April and will be just about 8 weeks by then, keep us updated!

Chip131 · 22/03/2023 16:23

Scan date is good friday for me - will be 7+6. I am also going to barcelona next weeked (will be 7 weeks) i hope this is okay and not a bad move😢

Sickness is a lot better for me but im quite uncomfortable today with my boobs and back aching
Xxx

BettylovesAugust · 22/03/2023 16:37

Hey all. I am still here, 8 weeks now, struggling with hyperemesis and feeling very low. I can’t work at the minute, and I’m sleeping a lot. Finding I have much less patience, and feeling very lonely as I haven’t told many people yet.

i have a scan booked on Friday as GP is wondering if there’s something else happening to raise my hormone levels/make me so unwell. Feeling pretty rubbish right now, I just wish I could begin feeling excited.

Pip1402 · 22/03/2023 16:51

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough @BettylovesAugust I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment too and I'm not as bad as you so you have my full sympathy!

Have you been given any medication to help with the sickness? Fingers crossed for a healthy scan on Friday.
