Also, does anyone feel like theyre showing already? 😱😰I'm only 7+4 but goodness me, i swear i have a bulge. I dont feel particularly bloated, is it possible to be bloated but not gassy?

Spareincoming · 29/03/2023 17:55

@flowerlover1990 My Gp was really
good about it; once I told her I’d retched so violently whilst trying to fasten the Dc car seats that the Dc had screamed in terror and sobbed from home to school I don’t think he would have refused me anything!

NatGee · 29/03/2023 17:56

@Spareincoming sorry, that made me laugh. Your dc must have had the scare of their life, poor bub

Spareincoming · 29/03/2023 17:58

@NatGee i can laugh now but I cried all the way to work at the ridiculousness of it and guilt about DC and just how awful I felt! I had nothing like this last time; thus I conclude, (anti nausea) drugs are good!

DollyGx · 29/03/2023 18:07

@flowerlover1990 bless you sounds like you’re really suffering 😢 yes defo worth giving it a go! Might not work for everyone but I certainly feel better today. And yes definitely speak to your GP if it doesn’t help x

@NatGee yeah it’s horrible isn’t it, kind of feels like I’m hungover all the time 😅 I’ve also had the food aversions and have just wanted beige food for the past week or so, not ideal! Aw that sounds ideal, I really hope it helps! My lady said I don’t really need to go back now unless I have nausea again or sore back, she said I can return at 36 weeks to prepare for birth so I’ll maybe consider that when the time comes! I’m 7+5 just now ☺️

NatGee · 29/03/2023 18:12

@DollyGx So it was a one off? your lady sounds very decent. I have a feeling mine will tell me to come every week ha. Definitely can't afford that. will you return later to prepare for birth? i also read that it can be beneficial

DollyGx · 29/03/2023 18:14

@BudgetBuster I did use those ones this time around and the first one I done was 1-2 then I waited a couple of weeks and done another which was 3+. Is there any chance you could be slightly off with your dates? You could well have a dodgy test though it’s entirely possible! Keep us updated with how scan goes 🤞🏼

DollyGx · 29/03/2023 18:21

@NatGee so I’d been seeing her twice a month since January to help me regulate my cycles and get pregnant (clearly it worked lol), then she said to keep coming every other week until I was 9 weeks, so that’s me pretty much done now! I don’t know if it’s really necessary to keep having it throughout pregnancy unless there really is a need for it? I was fully preparing to tell her “look I’d love to continue with this but I just can’t justify it financially” etc etc so was delighted when she told me I don’t need to go back lol. I’d just be upfront with them if they try to get you in every week that you’re just not in a position to be able to afford that, I mean who is these days, especially with a baby on the way, I’m sure they will be understanding ☺️ yeah I think I might actually consider it for before birth, heard good things, anything to make Labour better I’m here for it 😅

BudgetBuster · 29/03/2023 18:48

I'm definitely not off on my dates. I tested positive 2 weeks ago today, and can tell you I definitely conceived 4 weeks ago today as my husband is working away. Hoping the scan goes well Monday and if so I'll be writing Clear Blue a strongly worded letter 🤣

NatGee · 29/03/2023 18:53

@BudgetBuster ive heard the tests arent the most accurate. take your dates over whatever anything or anyone says 😎

Psqueak87 · 29/03/2023 18:57

@Mldn yes was sobbing last night after throwing up twice and just being generally sick of being sick and tired. Work is exhausting and I have almost 2 hours round trip commute every day and I’m over it. Can’t quit work though as my hubby is in between jobs right now so I am the sole earner. Can’t wait for the nausea to end!

NatGee · 29/03/2023 19:04

@DollyGx thanks for sharing your experience, will definitely take your advice. i had considered going to improve my fertility but i fell just as i was about to take the plunge. lets see what they say!

38andtrying · 29/03/2023 19:20

Was able to cook and eat dinner tonight, now not feeling so nauseous, feel better today physically which makes me anxious, god this is all mind screwing. I want to be sick all the time to give me some mental contentment that everything is ok.

Mldn · 29/03/2023 19:47

@Psqueak87 bless you! It really is grim & the hormones & sadness that I’m feeling with it are horrible. I realise I’m in a privileged position to have quit my job but seriously, it makes the days very lonely & long x

DollyGx · 29/03/2023 20:08

@BudgetBuster sounds like you could well have a dodgy test then! Yes definitely get that pen and paper ready! 😆

BudgetBuster · 29/03/2023 20:18

They are so bloody expensive 🤣

TMI2000 · 29/03/2023 20:35

@38andtrying tell me about it! I’ve spent the entire night spiralling because I haven’t been as nauseous the last few days, my boobs are less sore and I’ve been getting niggly pains yet feel miserable when all my symptoms are there!
I just constantly feel really anxious something is gonna go wrong 😔
glad I have you girls to talk to though, it really does help 💗

38andtrying · 29/03/2023 20:50

@TMI2000 i just had a scan on Saturday and all was fine, that reassurance lasted I'd say 24/48 hours at most, feel like I need a scan everyday lol I want to wait now for another 2 weeks but I think I'll cave before then as I can't stand the not knowing all is OK, I'm glad I'm not only one worrying lol

Houseonthehills · 29/03/2023 20:58

I feel you… I haven’t had sickness since Saturday and was so sick on my childrens pregnancies. I never thought I’d wish for sickness again but I really do… even the scan today didn’t put my mind at ease as the crl was 2.6mm when should be 4mm… it gets no easier on baby number 2/3/4… the fear stays the same

TMI2000 · 29/03/2023 21:01

@38andtrying i feel that, I have to wait until 12 weeks now which is agonising, my fingers are crossed for both us 🤞🏻

@Houseonthehills i completely understand you, I literally hate being sick but I so wish I was!

Bonsaitoodry · 29/03/2023 22:46

Hello all,
Lovely to read about some positive scans and hope everyone's doing ok despite the nausea and/or worrying. I got my booking appointment today and it's at the end of April - I'll be 10 weeks. My DH will be away then and I know that they ask lots of Qs about family health history so trying to find a list of what they'd ask about in advance so I can check with him and his family. Does anyone know where I could find one, or have had a booking appointment and remember what they asked about?
Thank you!

Udford · 29/03/2023 23:17

@Bonsaitoodry I had mine yesterday and there were a lot of questions! The questions on family history were something like the following:

  • Does anyone have any mental health conditions?
  • Has anyone had TB?
  • Does anyone have high blood pressure or any heart issues?
  • Does anyone have asthma?
  • Any hearing or sight issues?
  • Have your relatives had cancer?

I wasn't with my partner yesterday and to be honest, I forgot some really important health issues on his side of the family so it's good to start thinking about it ahead of your appointment!

I was also asked for a urine sample, so it might be worth taking one with you as it took me by surprise!

Spareincoming · 29/03/2023 23:30

@Bonsaitoodry
They also ask about diabetes - both types; if any child in the immediate family had hip displacement at birth; any pre-eclampsia on either side; any premature births; any blood transfusions; which viruses have you had - chicken pox etc.

Thack · 30/03/2023 02:35

@NatGee I think I am starting to show, 7+6.
It's second baby for me, so that's meant to happen sooner. I remember at 12weeks when I told my mum she'd noticed I had gained a little weight so it's not unreasonable!

I feel so bloated, especially at night. Iron makes me a little constipated so that is in the mix. Oh the many joys of pregnancy!

Thack · 30/03/2023 02:50

@Bonsaitoodry I had mine today, captured well above.
It's not going to cause much issue if something is missed at this point, there's plenty of time to recover. I am in awe of how organised you are!
Other qs on your & partners lifestyle (alcohol, smoking, jobs) and they do ask about abuse or worries of that sort.

I've got another appointment at 11ish weeks. I didn't have to pee today, which confused me but MW gave me a sample pot for next time.
I'd held off going especially, really needed that wee!!
