@Bonsaitoodry congrats! I’m 35 too & also conceived 2nd month of trying. Found that very bizarre as was expecting it to take a while. But I’m so happy it didn’t! I’m 8 weeks now, between 5-7 weeks I felt very dizzy, high heart rate & nauseous with no appetite. That’s all gone now & I just have tiredness & tender boobs but no longer “feel pregnant” so just trying to get over the anxiety that comes with that! Good luck x

Mldn · 25/03/2023 19:36

Also - obsessed with miscarriage data. There’s a website called miscarriage odds reassurer & whilst it is something we probs shouldn’t obsess over, we do.. and I’ve found the info on that page helps calm me & remind me odds are in our favour to have healthy babies 🤞🏼

Polkadotfloral · 25/03/2023 19:38

@Seasidegirl11 so sorry for your loss ❤

It's so interesting how pregnancies can feel so different. As this is my first I have no frame of reference so just taking things as they come at the moment.

I haven't been feeling sick yet, just a bit tired and have had some light cramping sensations in my lower tummy. My boobs are so sensitive and feel really 'full' if you know what I mean?!

Gt1986 · 25/03/2023 19:51

@Bonsaitoodry hiya, I have been doing similar but all women are different and all pregnancies are different! Im 6+1, found out a week ago. I am definitely since I found out: getting tired late afternoon/early evening, waking up at 6am every day, needing to wee all the time (I had a shocking bladder anyway), can get a bit shaky, smell is stronger and growing pains at times! Try and relax and be thankful your symptoms are not bad!

Countingchicks · 25/03/2023 20:03

@AnnieCa34 I'm up for setting one up. We have one for our babies born last March which has been amazing all through pregnancy, the insomnia, the births, the night feeds, the first birthdays, and all the family dramas. Always someone awake to chat to and it's been an amazing support group. Do you want to message me your number and I can then start a group then it should give me a link I can put on here for others to join x

Pip1402 · 25/03/2023 20:20

@Mldn I wouldn't wish it on you but it is nice to feel less alone! I think I'm 7+3 based on LMP but haven't had a scan yet. My dp has also been out quite a lot this weekend. I'm rubbish company at the moment and happy for him to make the most of socialising while he can (this is our first) but I am also a bit jealous that he can just carry on as normal!

Yes, fingers crossed in a few weeks we can get back on with our lives, albeit with a bump in tow!

Mldn · 25/03/2023 20:27

@Pip1402 my first too - so completely with you! Likewise, more than happy for him to be out & about but it sure is lonely. Glad we have this forum to normalise some of the feelings we all have. I have a scan at the EPU on Monday cos I called them after freaking out all my symptoms had disappeared & they said come for a scan! I feel like I’m wasting their time, I just wanted some reassurance over the phone really, but hopefully all okay x

AnnieCa34 · 25/03/2023 20:36

@Countingchicks yeh we have WhatsApp one for my daughter who was November 2020, we still chat on WhatsApp and it’s so helpful. Find it much easier to then keep up with people and chat x

Pip1402 · 25/03/2023 21:45

@Mldn Ah I'm sorry you're feeling anxious. My symptoms have fluctuated and I absolutely convinced myself it was all over at one point but then they came back again. It seems to be a common worry based on the threads I've read. I hope the scan goes well and gives you the reassurance you need x

Bonsaitoodry · 25/03/2023 22:39

Thanks @Mldn ! I have also been reading "Expecting Better", which a friend recommended, and that's really helpful. Hope the scan goes well and you feel less worried. And true @Gt1986 , will make the most of not feeling sick and still having an appetite! Did you all register for maternity care via your GP? I have appt on Fri but I gather nothing much happens there. Tried to self refer on the hospital trust site as advised by a friend but form wouldn't submit so gave up!

Gt1986 · 26/03/2023 06:45

@Bonsaitoodry we have a self referral here via Badger Notes which I completed last week when I found out. I might call my gp to confirm that the info has fed through though! Hope your appt goes well this week 😊

BettylovesAugust · 26/03/2023 08:15

Just wanted to update and hopefully offer a bit of hope for anyone struggling with hyperemesis. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwell, I had constant sea-sick type nausea and was vomiting 4-5 times a day, even waking up at night to throw up. I couldn’t function, was living off crackers and ginger tea and even bringing those up. My GP tried three different medications over the last few weeks, but nothing made a difference. I was feeling drowsy because of the medication, loosing weight and had to have an IV to replace fluids. Utterly miserable.

I had an early scan on Friday to rule out any thing unusual (molar pregnancy, multiples) but nurse said all seemed well, 8 weeks along, only one baby and it’s in the right place. That was reassuring but also terrifying that it’s ‘just one of those things’ and could continue indefinitely.

I’d read acupuncture can help and decided to try it and I honestly can’t believe the difference it has made. I feel like myself again and the nausea has completely disappeared. I can’t describe the relief, I have been like a zombie for weeks but yesterday i was able to eat meals, go for a walk, and care for my toddler.
I went to someone who gave me Chinese herbs as well, these didn’t work for me but the acupuncture was an enormous Godsend and I 100% recommend trying it if you are as desperate as I was.

38andtrying · 26/03/2023 08:24

Wanting to know if this is normal at this early stage, sometimes if I sneeze quickly I can feel what I think is my uterus move and while not sore its a shock, maybe a wee bit sore, if I move quickly in a certain way it happens as well, feels like my uterus is moving lol anyone else have this? It feels like a spasm or something, only happened once or twice but it is weird, anyone else ?

anna2101 · 26/03/2023 13:39

@38andtrying don't know if it's normal but I've been feeling the same thing when sneezing sometimes

38andtrying · 26/03/2023 13:46

@anna2101 weird isn't it lol I hope its normal now that I've heard I'm not only one

HayleyD93 · 26/03/2023 14:05

@38andtrying @anna2101 not sure if it's the same but I've been having like pinching feelings and last night I sat up quickly and definitely felt like something was being pulled. This stage when I had chemical I had more like cramps so I'm hoping this pulling and pinching is a better sign

38andtrying · 26/03/2023 14:19

@HayleyD93 I had pinching when I was about 4 weeks on my right side, it was actually quite sore at times, I was worried it was a bad sign meaning ectopic or something buy early scan showed all in right place so I think it's normal, I was googling and couldn't find any reference to pinching pain

Runnergirl1 · 26/03/2023 14:57

Ive had to book myself an early private scan. I had a mmc before my little girl and just can’t get passed that. I just don’t feel pregnant, I know that’s crazy but I just need some peace of mind one way or the other x

Skyla01 · 26/03/2023 15:15

@BettylovesAugust thanks for the tip about the acupuncture. Hope I won't need it but good to know in case. And so glad you have some relief. Will you have more than one session?

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 26/03/2023 16:06

5+1 according to premom and symptoms still coming and going. I seem to have a good day, bad day, worse day pattern 😅. Today I feel normal. Yesterday I had 2 naps, and spent the entire time I was on my feet feeling very dizzy and nauseous. My DH pulled over a couple of times as I kept nearly throwing up in the car, and I never get travel sick! Shall see what the next few days bring...

Mrsrobinsonx · 26/03/2023 16:29

Has anyone had any pink/red like streaks or spots when they’ve wiped or in their cm?
Ive had a little today and it’s just thrown me again due to last 2 miscarriages, ahhhh 😕

vix_85 · 26/03/2023 17:50

@Countingchicks would you mind sharing the WhatsApp link again? The one I'm trying doesn't seem to work. Thanks so much!

Countingchicks · 26/03/2023 18:08

@vix_85 do you want to send me your number and I can add you manually? I can see someone joined but left straight away

Journey2022 · 26/03/2023 18:27

@Chip131not sure if your in the WhatsApp group but just wondered how your getting on and if you are spotting today?
