@Chip131 I know first hand how worrying this is. The fact it was a little and stopped is positive. Take it easy today. Thinking of you xx

Rebs23 · 25/03/2023 11:16

@Chip131 that must be so stressful for you. My best friend had bleeding like that on and off for a couple weeks during her first trimester but she has just had a wonderfully normal 12 week scan. I hope it’s the same situation for you 💝

SnookyPook · 25/03/2023 12:27

@Chip131 hope all is ok 🤞🏻

@MooseWL that sounds scary! How are you now? Did it mention anything like that as potential side effects? X

NatGee · 25/03/2023 12:45

@MooseWL oh wow how are you now?

If I may revisit an earlier post of mine about nausea and what I'm doing about it: I haven't felt paraletically nauseated since Wednesday, I've just been trying to eat often. I woke up a couple of times at 2 am and just stuffed my gob with crackers to stop that awful feeling.
The drops I ordered have also helped i think. I'm 7 weeks today.

Can I ask if any if you ladies use pregnancy tracker apps? If so, which do you recommend ?

NatGee · 25/03/2023 12:46

@Chip131 so good its stopped 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I felt quite scared when I spotted brown discharge for a few days. Good luck at your appointment, keep us updated xx

HayleyD93 · 25/03/2023 12:56

@NatGee I have bounty, Emma's diary and baby centre. Mainly got bounty and Emma's diary as you get freebie bags of samples for you and baby, I'm holding off collecting anything yet though. Baby centre also has forums abit like this.

Chellooo · 25/03/2023 12:58

@NatGee oh I'm so jealous...I've been stuck in bed the past week, managing half a slice of toast every so often. I'm supposed to go to the office next wed and am near crying at the thought. I'm 8weeks now and holding out hope it wears off soon, I don't know if I can stick this much longer xx

MooseWL · 25/03/2023 13:15

@SnookyPook @NatGee did say stomach cramps and diarrhoea as possible side effects and I have been known to pass out from stomach cramps before!
Fine today other than feeling like I may have broken my nose 🫣
I took another this morning cos they were so good for the nausea and they made me feel a little drowsy for a while but I've read anecdotally that the side effects can lessen for people as they get used to them.
It's the first day in 2 weeks I've not thrown up and I actually felt like eating!

@NatGee im using the Premom app on pregnancy mode, it’s actually quite good

JJ2023 · 25/03/2023 16:03

@NatGee i also have the Premom app. The other one is pregnancy+ which I really recommend!

Journey2022 · 25/03/2023 16:50

@MooseWL God this sounds awful so sorry!!

@Chip131 I hope your okay! Keep us updated!

Polkadotfloral · 25/03/2023 16:56

Hello, is it okay if I join? Found out on Thursday that I'm pregnant and have worked out my due date to be 30th November using the NHS calculator. 😊

Cautiously excited as I had some spotting around when AF was due, but trying to let myself believe it's real now. DH is so excited but I'm still feeling quite anxious as I'm so scared things might go wrong.

This is our first and I think I'm only 4 weeks at the moment. No major symptoms yet, some slight cramps and my boobs have been a little sore but no sickness yet (fingers crossed!).

Chip131 · 25/03/2023 17:01

Thanks for you kind messages.. No further bleeding. Just dont know what to think. Feel devastated xdd

Gt1986 · 25/03/2023 17:22

Hi all, thought I would say hello!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant, due between 17th to 21st November according to apps and estimates. I only found out last Sunday when I did a test as I hadnt had my period, I wasn't too worried as my cycles are becoming more irregular (I thought I was perimenopausal) then I saw the 2 lines..... I retested the day after and yep definitely pregnant!

I am 36, this is our first. We are excited but naturally I'm bricking it abit!

Look forward to hearing from you all! 😊

marateach · 25/03/2023 17:30

I went for an early scan yesterday. Measuring 7+4. Finally feels real!

Mldn · 25/03/2023 17:34

@Chip131 i hope you’re okay! When have they offered to us scan? Good news that the spotting has stopped, but I imagine it is so hard to stay positive. Fingers crossed for you.

I find the weekends particularly difficult.. anybody else? I’m kind of just hiding from people until I know it’s all okay & I can share the news & start living a pregnant life without secrets x

medicmumma · 25/03/2023 18:09

Positive thoughts - hopefully everything is ok 🥰

AnnieCa34 · 25/03/2023 18:22

Sorry this is a few days later and I am struggling to keep up on here but I am interested. I find it easier to keep up on WhatsApp lol. X

Pip1402 · 25/03/2023 18:28

@Mldn I'm finding weekends hard at the moment too. I haven't told anyone so I'm turning down invites and I'm pretty much just hibernating because I don't feel well enough to do anything.

So I'm just generally bored and a bit lonely and fed up. I feel like I'm wishing my life away at the moment. I can't wait to feel less sick!

Mldn · 25/03/2023 18:33

@Pip1402 ahhh, I am with you! Sorry you’re feeling so rubbish, me too if that’s any consolation! How far along are you now?Hopefully not too long left now & we can continue our life with a bump in tow! I’m the same - declining invites & keeping myself to myself. My bf plays a lot of sport - so he’s out most of the weekend which is fine but defo makes it lonelier. This week complete exhaustion has hit, so any exercise is off the table for me now too which would usually help pass time. Me & the sofa & my dressing gown are living the dream indoors! x

AnnieCa34 · 25/03/2023 18:38

Sorry my reply above was to reply to @Countingchicks who mentioned a WhatsApp group. If anyone else is interested too.
@Chip131I really hope everything is ok for you, it must be so scary and worrying.

sorry struggling to keep up in here! hence not posting for ages. I joined the Facebook group but I think loads of people are on it who aren’t on here too! Very confusing! Lol .
I am 7+2 now and feeling nausea loads. I take omeprazole for reflux and think that maybe helps me not be sick. But reflux is worse now I am pregnant and I can’t take anymore!
also to those talking about deoresssion I was on venlafaxine and mirtazapine but managed to come off before getting pregnant. It’s def tough managing hormones and with no meds to help. X

Seasidegirl11 · 25/03/2023 18:51

@Polkadotfloral same due date as me! I also had spotting and cramping around time AF was due, in fact I did test because was convinced AF was coming. Only tested a couple days later cos it all stopped. Nervous everytime I use the loo now tho.

Bonsaitoodry · 25/03/2023 19:06

Hello! I am pregnant for the first time and found out last Saturday. Now 5 weeks from first day of last period. Both DH and I are 35 and we were surprised to conceive in our 2nd month TTC. I have had sore boobs, a bit of spotting and one episode of racing heart/feeling a bit shaky (had to google it and apparently that is normal?! I am learning every day...). Find myself thinking and reading quite a lot about miscarriage chances and as am not feeling sick/no sense of smell changes etc. I often just don't "feel" pregnant, which seems strange. Anyway, I am trying just to live with the uncertainty of it and be ok with what comes but it is a strange thing so am glad to have found this thread!

Polkadotfloral · 25/03/2023 19:09

@Seasidegirl11 aww it's nice to find someone with the same due date!

Also yes, I know what you mean, I feel nervous every time I go to the loo now too. Still taking pregnancy tests every morning at the moment as I'm anxious that it might not work out.

Is this your first pregnancy too? Have you been having many symptoms yet?

Seasidegirl11 · 25/03/2023 19:23

@Polkadotfloral I’ve got a 2.5 year old boy so not my first. I had a MC last Jan and had been trying since.

Ive done all the tests in the house now! Will probably invest in a clear blue digital weeks indicator next week.

i actually so have a few symptoms already, which I def didn’t have in my previous pregnancies. Nauseous already (felt this from before my test), not too bad atm tho, headaches and tiredness. Kinda feel hungover basically! How about you?
