Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

Hello all,
I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby conceived with IVF. I think I will be due around mid November. I have very little symptoms and it’s making me very anxious! Not even sore boobs! But now I see there are a few others like me - it’s calming my nerves. I really want the symptoms for extra reassurance that there’s a baby cooking in there! xx

Mldn · 16/03/2023 12:10

I’m 6+6 today & had absolutely ZERO reason to do another clearblue digital. But I was cleaning my flat & found the spare one, so just did it. OMG, the anxiety waiting for it to give me the result - which was 3+, same as last week! I highly recommend binning your tests & not doing them after a certain point because the anxiety I just gave myself for no reason at all, was not worth it.

@SnookyPook yes, it was lovely thanks! But I’m too scared to post where I went incase anybody on here knows me 😂 honestly, my paranoia is rife! I was due to run London marathon, for the 4 time - but I’ve deferred that as no chance I’ll manage it with these nervy weeks during first trimester! I’ll be 12 weeks the day of that as well x

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 12:14

@hopeandpray1988 I had some progression early on and then not much in the last 3/4 days which worries me but I guess positive until its not 🤷🏼‍♀️. I have seen some with really strong lines and some with weak lines and both fine. I am on progesterone which is meant to prevent mc but who knows really!! It's such a great and awful time. I won't know for sure until another 3 weeks. It'll be really hard!!

Due November 2023 ✨

@Stillhoping1990 thats the best thing about these places. You don't feel as alone!! I get the odd twinge or shooting pain in my boobs but it's mainly through sleeping for some reason then nothing! Just constant cramp /tug feeling that I've had one and off since 6dp5dt and I had 1 day where it was really bad (I'm worried for an early mc) and then 1 half day of nothing at all. Sometimes I worry I'm making it all up!

MooseWL · 16/03/2023 12:24

@SnookyPook I love Yoga with Adrienne! Did her January one this year, but at the moment by the time I've put my son to bed and tidied up in an evening I'm too knackered to do anything other than sitting down in an evening. I do dance actually and I'll be keeping that up, its no marathon though haha.
My nausea has now ramped up to actually being sick today, urgh. I normally drink so much tea but I haven't been able to face it for the last week so I'm probably also having caffeine withdrawals 😅

Mamatobe2023 · 16/03/2023 12:48

I have read the messages about being put on progesterone. I called my Dr last week and he gave me some as I insisted. He denied me a blood test to check my levels first and just prescribed them but I read up the details of them and the side effects if you have too much progesterone and there is no way I’m taking them! I can’t believe he prescribed them without taking bloods from me. All of you that are on them, were you given blood tests to check or how do you know you have low progesterone? It’s such a shame they won’t test my levels just because I haven’t had recurrent miscarriages. I initially asked for bloods because I had a miscarriage in December. Any help appreciated :)

Sb86 · 16/03/2023 12:56

Did they scan you before prescribing them @Bubblemachiene ?

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 13:00

@Mamatobe2023 i have never had a blood test by the clinic and its our clinics procedure to have progesterone from egg collection until 12wks of pregnancy. I've not really had any symptoms with them? Had the odd cramp initially but I really feel nothing with them now?

Mamatobe2023 · 16/03/2023 13:02

@Fox01 is that because you have gone through IVF? I think if you do then progesterone is prescribed either way

Sb86 · 16/03/2023 13:28

@Mamatobe2023 I've got to wait for my 6 week scan next week to see if the pregnancy is viable before they'll prescribe any for me but they didn't mention blood test.

hopeandpray1988 · 16/03/2023 13:42

@bakugo thanks I'll keep testing and hope the line gets stronger. 🤞🏻

@SnookyPook I'll get some more tests and see what they're like tomorrow

@Fox01 your tests look good. 🙂 Good luck for finding out if its a definite positive.

I'm going to book a private early scan for when I'd be 6 weeks if things continue to progress.

Hope everyone is doing ok in the lead up to scans/blood tests and November if our month 🤞🏻 xx

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 16/03/2023 13:51

So great to have this group and hear about people not having major symptoms as it can be a worry! 4+6 for me today and just sore nipples and tiredness but nothing else however it's very early. If I can get to 6 weeks I'll phone to book in a scan around 7 weeks given I had a MMC discovered at my 8 week scan in November.

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 14:03

@Mamatobe2023 yes because of ivf! They never tested progesterone as far as I'm aware. I did a separate test before as I was always only 11/12 dpo when I would bleed but never had any other low progesterone symptoms.

@hopeandpray1988 best of luck! I looked at an early one but it wasn't until a few days before I'd have the nhs 7wk scan so pointless really

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 14:04

@ExcitedandNervousC1 sorry to hear about your mmc. How do you feel after it? Did you have any clue or was it just from the scan?

Bubblemachiene · 16/03/2023 14:16

Yea @Sb86

Stillhoping1990 · 16/03/2023 14:43

@Fox01 yes it really helps to talk on here - especially as it’s so early and I haven’t told anyone so cannot ask friends about how they felt in the first trimester. I only occasionally get period type cramps - feels exactly like period! Which makes me panic. I’m tempted to get regular hcg blood tests to put my mind at ease that the levels are rising.

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 16/03/2023 15:20

@Fox01 it was unfortunately just at the scan that they discovered it hence the nerves this time unfortunately

NatGee · 16/03/2023 15:25

@hopeandpray1988 aw thank you hope you're doing well too, good luck with your scan, how far in advance do you have to book it?
@Fox01 I believe the general consensus is that a LP of 10 days and less is considered to be problematic. I too had 12 day LP and it's considered normal?

Right, so I think nausea is beginning to rear its ugly head. It comes in flows right about this time and it's not nice. Thankfully not lasting long but I just can't imagine spending the best part of three months feeling this way?

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 15:47

@Stillhoping1990 i am the exact same! I have told some friends mainly because I had a breakdown that tests weren't getting darker and no real symptoms. Telling the 1 friend who is a mum didn't really help. She was like oh I only tested once and it was lighter than yours later on and I had loads of bleeding for week and all was fine. She had really REALLY bad sickness throughout and some boob pain. Both of which I've not had. She had the sickness before she had her missed period too! I had a scan today (4+4) and obviously couldn't see anything which is completely normal and expected but put worry in me. The Dr said that everything looks great and he thinks my cramp pain is a sign of pregnancy and my lining has more than doubled too which apparently a good sign but I have tried to Google and it doesn't say much!

@ExcitedandNervousC1 i can see what your name is excited and nervous then! It is so common and not spoken about enough. It must have been so horrible and people just expect you to move on. I'm thinking the worst for this one and I already love this embryo so much. Keep us posted anyway! How far are you and when are you planning early scan?

Stillhoping1990 · 16/03/2023 16:11

@Fox01 yes i remember a lot of my friends were very sick from very early on. Maybe the sickness will show up next week? Ahhh. I think I will do bloods again next week and then wait it out for my scan in two weeks time.

hopeandpray1988 · 16/03/2023 16:51

@NatGee looking at it, I could book now for when I'm 6 weeks but I'm going to hold off for a bit just to see how my test lines go. I had an early scan at the epu with my first as I was bleeding and it put my mind at rest between the 6 and 12 week mark. Was still very anxious though.

I have heightened anxiety this time though due to other personal factors so just think it will help me again this time. Xx

ExcitedandNervousC1 · 16/03/2023 16:51

@Fox01 4+6 today and will aim for a scan around 7 weeks so about 2.5 to go!

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 16:58

@Stillhoping1990 thats why I worried because sore boobs and sickness seem the most common. Although most say the fatigue hits with everything else in wk 6. I've felt a bit dizzy and light headed and my taste buds are off but that's it sickness wise!

It's sad we want all the horrible symptoms 😂

I guess everyone is different!

Fox01 · 16/03/2023 16:59

@ExcitedandNervousC1 we should be having scans around the same time! Have you continued testing or are you just leaving it for now? Otd is Sunday for me. I want to test every day but I'm either worried its not progressed and worried it'll be lighter. Can't win! It is nice to think that finally I'm pregnant. If only it was as easy as some people make it out to be!!

Darcy86 · 16/03/2023 17:19

Hi everyone, hope I can join, I've read most of the thread - so sorry to those who have experienced losses.

I'm 36 and found out on Sunday I'm expecting my second baby, my son has just turned 2 and it's been our 2nd cycle of trying (took 7 with my first), so didn't expect it to be quite this soon! NHS calculator says I'm due around the 17th November. Feeling fine at the moment, just get really tired in the afternoons/evenings! Will try and join the FB group too as I find it hard to follow these threads sometimes. Wishing everyone well on your journeys :)
