Hi all! 😊

I got my bfp yesterday and although it's super early days (I'm only 12dpo), from looking at the NHS pregnancy calculator, I'd be due 2nd November...
Just thought I'd make this thread for anyone who has recently got their bfps and are due in November-time!

I thought we could use it to discuss how we are feeling, any symptoms/lack of symptoms we have etc. and just a safe place for a chat with people in the same boat!

Congratulations to everyone who have got their bfps and sending lots of sticky baby dust to all! 🤞✨💕

@Bubblemachiene really strong line!

@SayTx i also am obsessed with doing tests, it’s such a nerve wracking time. I got my 3+ yesterday so im hoping that will stop me as I won’t see any progression anyway

Bubblemachiene · 10/03/2023 07:13

I shouldn't have tested this morning
I done a cheap test wed morning and the same one this morning
And there's not much difference in lines.is there meant to be darker lines every other day?

I also done cheap tests Wednesday & this morning (as well as CBD) they are my results on the photos.... I think I need to stop testing///checking now & wait until my private scan (a week today) as if if the line gets lighter it's only going to give me more anxiety! & the CBD obviously not show any further progression now. Xxxx

@SayTx the bottom green one does look darker. I know I should stop testing too. I want to buy a digital but If I don't get a 3+ I will feel worse, especially because I didn't get there with my previous pregnancy which ended in mmc.
I'm in work today and going away on Sunday so il be too busy to test now for a few days.
😅

If your at work & then away I would try and hang off as long as possible.... I was away last weekend & it was perfect for keeping me busy & my mind occupied! Then because I've worked from home all week & it's been quiet I feel it's allowed the intrusive thoughts//anxiety to kick back! I'm sure you will be absolutely fine... what is your expected due date? Mine is saying 6th November, however I think it's probably more like 10 as my cycle is normally 30/31 days. Xxx

Bubblemachiene · 10/03/2023 08:05

Yes true,
It's so hard after a loss.
Due date is 15th according to flo lol. @SayTx
I think I might buy a digital for next week I'm home wed night so will do it Thursday morning, when I will hopefully be 5+2

MeganC104 · 10/03/2023 08:14

I have another bug. Spent the night coughing 😩 fed up of catching bugs on top of the exhaustion and nausea in pregnancy. I was never I'll in my first pregnancy

NatGee · 10/03/2023 08:31

I am pretty sure that there is a limit as to how dark the lines can get? I've personally not done the cheapies so I can't vouch for them and have stopped testing now as Ill just get paranoid
As long as you feel good I am pretty sure baby is feeling good too!

MeganC104 · 10/03/2023 09:23

@NatGee I only had cheapies. Never had a dye stealer with them. I don't you can get one. I did get 3+ on the ClearBlue and stopped testing after that

Lurknessmomstar · 10/03/2023 09:42

@MooseWL 6weeks today, same as you and starting to feel a lot more nauseous 😭 how are you feeling?

Mldn · 10/03/2023 10:01

Does anybody understand dating? I know it shouldn’t be a big issue but I’m confused as NHS & Flo date me as 6 weeks today but I thought I’d still be 5 (5+5). My lmp was 29/1 & my cycle is 26 days. If my cycle was 28 days it still classes me as 5 weeks but when I amend it to cycle being 26 days it changes to 6 weeks.. am I 6 weeks? Everyday counts in this megaaaa wait 😂

anna2101 · 10/03/2023 10:09

@Lurknessmomstar I'm 6 weeks today too! Been feeling lots of nausea since Sunday - don't know what to do with myself 😭

My Flo is showing me as coming up 6 weeks this Sunday & due 6th November, however I went on the NHS app & put my cycle as 31 days (my average) & that is showing me as being due 9th November. I had also updated my cycle on Flo but I think it's still just registering a 28 day cycle. Xx

Mldn · 10/03/2023 10:44

Thanks @SayTx - I think when your cycle is shorter than 28 days it deducts days from you due date & adds days to how far along & vice versa if your cycle is longer than 28 days. So confusing 😅 xx

Unsure if anyone has created a Facebook group but all the ones if seen have ‘November 2023’ in the title so I didn’t want people to see I’ve joined. Found this one which is a small group but completely private and name doesn’t give it away. Lovely to see all these positive tests!

Lurknessmomstar · 10/03/2023 10:56

@anna2101 I don’t know what to do with myself either, but with two older children to take care of, I rest when I have the chance. Any suggestions for the nausea? I’m craving sour things so I’ll buy some lemon ice lollies and see if it help

NatGee · 10/03/2023 11:01

@Lurknessmomstar I heard ginger tea can help. hope it gets better soon x

Lurknessmomstar · 10/03/2023 11:10

Thank you @NatGee , will try that 🙏🏽

ahhhh fab, I've requested to join.... I'm finding all of these groups & being able to talk to early expectant mummah's so comforting!! Xxx

NatGee · 10/03/2023 11:13

@littlelove23 if a group is private, then others wouldnt see youve joined, right?

littlelove23 · 10/03/2023 12:00

Yes it’s a private group, so nobody can see you’ve joined x

Bubblemachiene · 10/03/2023 12:12

Just had a call from epu, my bloods from yesterday were 820 I'm happy about that

T11 · 10/03/2023 12:22

Hi everyone
I tested positive on 4th March, clear blue showed 3+.

According to Flo and an online calculator my due date is 8th November and I am currently 5 weeks pregnant.

Symptoms I had before finding out is tender breasts. I now get mild cramps from time to time and feel tired but don’t really feel nauseous yet. I also had sharp pains in my private area yesterday and was wondering whether that was normal?

Might be a stupid question, but do you feel that you’re pregnant all the time in the first few weeks. So sometimes I just feel nothing at all, is that normal?

Also how soon did everyone have their booking in appointment? I don’t have mine until 11 weeks which will be 18th April. The NHS website says you should have before 10 weeks.

As this is my first pregnancy I’m a bit clueless as to how I should feel or what I should be doing. I do of course know the basics as I’ve done my own research on certain things.

thanks

NatGee · 10/03/2023 12:36

@t11 welcome and congratulations on your bfp :) This will be our first child too so I understand how this is all a lot to take in and make sense of
I had no symptoms prior to my bfp, and only tested because my BBT indicated I may have fallen. I've had sore breasts, vivid dreams, back pain and for the first few days after finding out I was cramping a lot. That now seems to have calmed down. I read it is just your body beginning to adjust for a growing little person inside of you
I certainly don't feel pregnant and all symptoms should go away after the first trimester so I get the impression you stop feeling pregnant then too, unless your bump already shows by then

My booking appointment is on the 8th April, Ill be 9 weeks then however I count from my ovulation date, not from my period's first day/NHS calculator

I suspect after your first appointment youll be booked in for a scan pretty swiftly

Will you be having an early scan at all?

Sb86 · 10/03/2023 13:59

Hey @T11 Congratulations on your pregnancy 🎊

Symptoms can come and go so don't worry about it too much, also I think the pain you're referring to is called "lightening crotch" and again is normal. It's just your body changing to accommodate growing baby.

I've got my booking in appointment on the 11th of April and I'll be 8+5 weeks, it probably depends on when you registered and where you live as to when you get your appointment.

Also no question is stupid so don't hesitate to ask as this group of ladies on mumsnet are a great fountain of knowledge and support 😊
