Hey ladies, I wonder if anyone would like to join me, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and am terrified! I lost a baby in June at 12 weeks and had to have surgical management, I'm so so anxious now!

Would anyone else like to join me on our journey! X

Just a quick update, EPU have called and confirmed that it sounds like an early loss. I’ve got to do another test in a weeks time to confirm it’s still negative so that we know for sure. Then wait a full cycle before we try again. I’ll stick around in the background just incase by some miracle it’s positive next week, but otherwise I’ll leave the thread.
Thank you so much ladies for all your advise and support and I wish you all the best of luck ❤️

blueberry23 · 26/10/2022 08:06

@Moosh18 @Mayfield87 how you feeling symptom wise?

I'm 6+1 today. Had the odd wave of nausea but nothing really. Boobs still perfectly fine and not even tired (until late evening but that's normal anyway right!?)

Scan on Monday and I feel sick when I think about it. Time is going so slowly.

Moosh18 · 26/10/2022 08:20

@blueberry23 I felt really sick all afternoon yesterday and when I first woke up, but now nothing, tbf I'm only tired on an evening after dinner then I'm exhausted! We've just had to cancel our holiday on Saturday to Spain as DD has come down with chicken pox! So I'm reallllly tempted to book a scan Friday next week when I will be 7 weeks? Do you think that's an okay time?? X

How are everyone’s symptoms? I’m 5+3 and have had consistently tender boobs until today along with bloating, constipation, exhaustion and teeny bit of nausea. But today boobs are barely sore, no nausea, bloating or constipation and feeling quite anxious again :/

GemmaJen · 26/10/2022 10:13

@Texasholdem20 I'm the same, had all sorts of symptoms over the last 10 days :metallic taste, less appetite, lost weight, constipated, needing to pee, bloated, vivid dreams, gassy, sore boobs, nausea. All coming and going, but today I feel so normal. Only sore boobs, every now and again I keep checking they're still sore 🤦‍♀️ I feel like I'm going mad. It's pretty normal apparently, doesn't make it feel any more reassuring though.

I used up my last tests today, almost a dye stealer on the wondfo strips. They took so long to go dark it's definitely a relief seeing them darken, but now I can't test unless I buy more. Going to try and be strong and wait till the scan. I'm finding setting short term 'targets' helpful. First will be mw booking appointment at 6w3d next week then scan at 8w1d on the 15th November. 3 weeks to go 🥴 but I guess its better than focusing on the 12w scan in 7 weeks 😑

Texasholdem20 · 26/10/2022 10:15

It’s just so nerve wracking isn’t it. My husband secretly videoed my tweaking my boobs and I’m legitimately doing it every 3 minutes whilst watching tv 🙈

Ash0 · 26/10/2022 10:29

@Texasholdem20 @GemmaJen
I’m the same with symptoms, had very mild ones. Metallic taste, bloating, gassy, a bit tired (but also think that’s due to the lack of caffeine) sore boobs. Also had really vivid dreams last week. Last few days I’ve felt totally fine and no symptoms. I’m 6 weeks today and just a bit tired.
I agree with the small targets, that’s what I’m trying to do because 6 weeks seems like a very long time right now.

Moosh18 · 26/10/2022 10:34

Has anyone booked a scan think I am going to do it at 7 weeks x

GemmaJen · 26/10/2022 11:46

@Moosh18 i haven't booked as I'll do it somewhat last minute, but I'm booking in a private scan at 8w1d. I'm going to wait the extra week in case my dates are really wrong (my cycles can be anything between 26 and 42 days)

Moosh18 · 26/10/2022 11:48

@GemmaJen I'm just going to book next week for the Friday, I'm pretty sure on dates, I swore I'd wait till 8 weeks but I can't x

I just wanted to add a positive story, I too suffered a MMC at 12 weeks last year after perfect 6 and 8 week scans and ended in medical management. I am now 31 weeks pregnant with a smooth pregnancy, this pregnancy I had a lot less symptoms of pregnancy surprisingly Flowers

Daniki · 26/10/2022 13:22

Hey I'm also 4 weeks pregnant and had a miscarriage in August, I am absolutely terrified! I am having some ovary pain now that's freaking me out as they discovered I had a cyst on my ovary when I miscarried.
Panicking it's the cyst or im having an ectopic pregnancy 😫
I started acupuncture after the miscarriage and found it really helped with my anxiety?

Mayfield87 · 26/10/2022 14:01

I'm okay @blueberry23 no symptoms other than tiredness but I suffer with that anyone as I have an overactive thyroid. Otherwise wouldn't know I was pregnant. I had a scan with DS1 at 7 weeks @Moosh18 so go for it!
I've got one booked for Nov 13th when I'll be 8 weeks.

Positivethoughts92 · 26/10/2022 14:05

I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and feel totally exhausted, I have been going to bed around half 9 though I wake a few times during the night. Also having waves of nausea and constantly hungry 🙈 don’t remember having that last time so early although it ended in miscarriage so maybe that’s a good thing! X

Houseelf90 · 26/10/2022 14:10

@finallyfoundmyself that’s such a reassuring story, and I’m so pleased you’re having a healthy pregnancy 💕

GemmaJen · 26/10/2022 15:01

@finallyfoundmyself thank you that does help and congratulations! I've noticed my test line progression and symptoms are so different from when I was pregnant with my daughter, so it's definitely causing worry.

Is anybody else having an acne flare up? I didn't get any spots with my daughter but my skin has gone to pot this week. And I can't use most of my normal skincare, it's so hard to know what you are and aren't allowed to use.

bubble55 · 26/10/2022 18:39

glad It’s not just me who’s so anxious 😬 I wish I didn’t test every day. I’ve had two early losses in July and September so I’m so anxious. My lines aren’t getting darker, just the same. So nervous 😟

Ash0 · 26/10/2022 18:42

@GemmaJen I thankfully haven’t had any flare up but now trying to negotiate the minefield of what I can/can’t use skin care wise. Have you found anything? I read simple is meant to be all good ?

GemmaJen · 26/10/2022 19:43

@Ash0 I've moved onto cetaphil moisture lotion instead of my usual cream, with body shop charcoal night peel which seems to be helping. Glycolic acid toner is still OK to use. Think I need to swap my face wash, my topical spot cream and maybe sun cream. Need to keep researching 🤦‍♀️ such a mine field, for every article that says something is safe there's another telling you to avoid it. I think the main thing is to drop retinol which is in many anti aging products and avoid daily use of salicylic acid. Some products will clearly tell you on the label if they shouldn't be used in pregnancy, but not all will.
