Hey ladies, I wonder if anyone would like to join me, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and am terrified! I lost a baby in June at 12 weeks and had to have surgical management, I'm so so anxious now!

Would anyone else like to join me on our journey! X

@GemmaJen well done on not testing and I’m glad to hear you’re feeling queasy (in a nice way of course!)
How far gone are you?
I’m quite pleased I don’t have anymore tests in the house, I think it’s very easy to drive yourself crazy when lines don't appear to be getting darker!!

theblueflowers · 21/10/2022 10:54

Hello all,

Mind if I join? I'm 4+4 today after getting my positive this time last week. I have never known a week to go so slow!

I'm coming into this off the back of two miscarriages- one in January at 6 weeks, one in April at 9 weeks, so bracing myself for the worst, but hoping for the best!

I seem to be going through a rollercoaster of emotions even throughout the day. One minute I'm positive everything is going well, and the next I'm convinced it's over. My symptoms seem to come and go which doesn't help.

Houseelf90 · 21/10/2022 10:58

Welcome @theblueflowers! I’m also 4+4 today!
For the first few days after I found out I was convinced every time I went to the loo that AF was going to arrive! Wishing you the best of luck for this one being your one!

GemmaJen · 21/10/2022 10:59

@Houseelf90 so easy to go crazy over it, especially when you compare to previous pregnancies and Google... Trying to remind myself that every pregnancy looks different and being kind to myself.

According to lmp 5 weeks today. Though from ovulation probably 4w 4d. Oddly I'm feeling slimmer today, my appetite is lower than normal though so I guess I'm just not eating as much 🤷‍♀️

Houseelf90 · 21/10/2022 11:28

@GemmaJen my appetite has changed and I’ve felt so bloated I just feel full all the time! Though I did think maybe today I feel less bloated, but then I’ve had some porridge and I feel back to how I was! I’m trying to keep eating throughout the day even if I don’t feel hungry as I know it won’t be good if I go long periods without food! Also trying to start eating a little healthier! (Obviously yesterday was excluded when I had 5 biscuits and an entire packet of caramel chocolate buttons 🤦‍♀️)
I’m usually really cold all the time and I’ve been pretty hot on and off this week 🥵

Positivethoughts92 · 21/10/2022 13:40

Anyone experienced neck pain going into the back of your head in early pregnancy? I had shoulder pain since Thursday and was worrying about etopic but it’s moved into my neck and is more like a dull ache than a pain really but just never experienced it before. Xx

TrulyMiss · 21/10/2022 13:41

@theblueflowers I'm only 4w after getting a BFP on Tuesday. I swear time is actually going backwards! Also agree re the constant assessment of symptoms...

Ash0 · 21/10/2022 19:48

@GemmaJen exact same here! Sooo bloated I look 4 months pregnant already 🙈 I’m going to try having regular smaller meals instead of having a big dinner etc because I find it worse in the evening. I’m also warmer than I would be I’m usually always cold, so I’m going to enjoy that for now!

GemmaJen · 22/10/2022 07:26

@Positivethoughts92 no neck pain here, though I did have a little shoulder pain last week which went away. I think odd aches and pains are normal, there's so much going on in your body, extra blood flow, increased heart rate, hormonal influences etc... Plus with the general anxiety you'll be spotting things you might not have otherwise?

@Ash0 I'm feeling a bit opposite, hopefully still normal 🤞 not really bloated, losing weight and cold all the time. My appetite had been affected so I'm not eating as much which I hope accounts for the weight loss and it has been cold - we've not put heating on in the house yet. Been trying to justify my not normal symptoms, but I guess until a scan none of us know what's really going on. These 12 weeks can't go fast enough!

I've not tested again this morning, which feels good. Think I will tomorrow, maybe... Anxiety was getting the best of me yesterday afternoon but I went out for dinner last night with friends, an all you can eat pudding place, which I did not do justice! Normally I can eat and eat but I barely ate any of the puddings, my appetite just feels really off. Even so I must have eaten more than normal as have had a rough night, really sweaty and sticky, so much for being cold yesterday!

We're out with friends again today for lunch, though I have told these ladies so it'll be nice not having to hide this. I feel like a busy weekend will do me good!

What do you all have planned for the weekend?

Phrenologistsfinger · 22/10/2022 08:51

I’m out, another chemical.

Good luck all.

Houseelf90 · 22/10/2022 11:43

@Phrenologistsfinger sorry to hear this 😞

@GemmaJen all you can eat pudding sounds lovely if you take out the loss of appetite!!
Ah it’s nice to know someone else has told friends! I’ve told my best friend and a work colleague as she knew we were trying and she was really helpful with all my questions!

I think we are going to tell my parents this evening! I do a fairly high risk sport and see my dad daily for this so feel he should know incase anything happens! But I am really nervous and no idea how to tell them!
We also need to go and do some shopping today for my partners eldest’s birthday, and I know I’m going to end up looking at baby clothes and prams 🙈🙈 I just can’t help myself!!

GemmaJen · 22/10/2022 12:08

@Phrenologistsfinger I'm so sorry 😔 wishing you the best and hopefully the IVF isn't delayed and will give you that rainbow baby x

@Houseelf90 were waiting to tell parents, it all gets complicated with this type of news with our family, so we'll wait as long as we can! Telling a couple of friends just felt right though.

blueberry23 · 24/10/2022 11:08

How is everyone doing?

I'm 6 weeks today and still no symptoms at all.

Not even tired or bloated now! Literally feel completely normal.

I have a scan a week today but starting to get a little worried.

Anyone else the same?

Summersun1991 · 24/10/2022 11:17

@blueberry23 I’m 5+5 today. I have had sore boobs, painful armpits, metallic taste in mouth yesterday only, bloated and gassy (sorry).
today I woke up with nothing. I feel completely normal. My boobs don’t hurt for the first time in a couple of weeks, my stomach feels flatter.

i think it’s normal but it does make you worried!
some people go symptomless for a while I think. Tomorrow we will probably be back to being bloated and then maybe even start to feel sick.

Have you got a telephone appointment lined up?

Summersun1991 · 24/10/2022 11:20

@blueberry23 sorry just seen you have a scan lined up. That’s good and will probably put your mind at ease. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry. You’re not bleeding which is good and not in pain.

These first few weeks are stressful and do drag. I’m just so desperate to get to 12 weeks so I can see all is ok and then start to tell people

Moosh18 · 24/10/2022 11:25

@blueberry23 hey' we've spoken on another thread too, I've got no symptoms at all, 5+3 today or 5+4 xx

OP posts:
Mayfield87 · 24/10/2022 11:41

Yep I'm the same @blueberry23 I'm trying to hold onto the fact I got sickness at 7 weeks with my last pregnancy and each pregnancy is different so we may just not have many symptoms this time- as long as all is okay I'd be happy with very little symptoms as I have a 3 year old to look after xx

Mayfield87 · 24/10/2022 11:42

I'm also 5+4 @Moosh18 🥰

Moosh18 · 24/10/2022 11:44

@Mayfield87 did it start suddenly? I had it horrific from 6+3 in my last successful pregnancy and it came on suddenly, like literally woke up on that day and felt totally shocking and it went on for 10 weeks! X

OP posts:
blueberry23 · 24/10/2022 11:46

@Mayfield87 yes same. With my son my symptoms kicked in at 6+2 exactly with nausea and tiredness so hoping any time around now!

Moosh18 · 24/10/2022 11:48

@Mayfield87 I took a digital this morning and it was 3+ it's the first week one I've done so I'm glad it's showing that, but still nervous about lack of symptoms c

OP posts:
Mayfield87 · 24/10/2022 12:24

@Moosh18 yep was overnight, I remember booking a scan for around 7 weeks as I felt fine and couldn't believe I was pregnant and then bang the sickness hit- went on until 16 weeks or so 😩
I've a scan booked for about 8 weeks. Also because my sister is due her third next month and if I was to receive bad news at 12 weeks it would be awful all round for everyone- Id rather know sooner of any issues.

Mayfield87 · 24/10/2022 12:25

That's good @Moosh18
I think it won't be long @blueberry23 and we'll be moaning about sickness 🙈 try and take comfort we are in the same boat 😘

Moosh18 · 24/10/2022 12:28

@blueberry23 absolutely, I have seen so many people say around 7 weeks or some people just get lucky!

OP posts:
Moosh18 · 24/10/2022 12:51

I'm still getting cramps and backache
