Hey ladies, I wonder if anyone would like to join me, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and am terrified! I lost a baby in June at 12 weeks and had to have surgical management, I'm so so anxious now!

Would anyone else like to join me on our journey! X

@Positivethoughts92 i’m 11+2 and my scan isn’t until December 19th (so I’ll be 13+6).
We were really disappointed with the lack of scanning and how late my first scan was so we’ve paid for a number of scans privately for reassurance and had private NIPT testing done.
We will have another private scan at 16 weeks all being well.

Positivethoughts92 · 01/12/2022 15:28

@firsttimelondonmummy I’m thinking another private scan at 16 weeks too, would be nice start to the new year hopefully 🙏. Yeah I was shocked by how little there is through the nhs 🙈 x

Moosh18 · 01/12/2022 17:12

@Positivethoughts92 where I am you have a midwife apt at 16 weeks too?

So glad all went well for you! X

@Moosh18 they have done away with it here because of covid so it’s now just a phone call incase you have any questions. Thanks so much :-) xx

Moosh18 · 01/12/2022 18:17

@Positivethoughts92 that's madness!!!!

Great news @Positivethoughts92 so pleased it went well.

I have my scan this morning and I'm so nervous despite having had two so far already.

My symptoms are there strong one day and then not at all the next, bloating has eased again, so just feeling a bit concerned.

Will update you all later.

How's everyone doing?

Moosh18 · 02/12/2022 09:29

@blueberry23 oh how exciting!!!! How far are you now!! I have mine next Wednesday and dreading it! X

All was fine! Measuring 11+5 so two days ahead of where I thought I was.

Hope everyone else's scan goes ok.

Ash0 · 02/12/2022 19:57

So pleased for you @blueberry23 🥰 mine is still a week away, I’ve had no other scans so getting really nervous now

Positivethoughts92 · 05/12/2022 18:51

Controversial topic I know but have any of got the flu vaccine and if not are you going to? X

I’ve had it. Booked in for the covid booster and they offered me the flu jab at the same time. Was at about 7-8 weeks pregnant, now 11 weeks, have had 2 scans after vaccines and baby is looking good. Had little to no side effects save for sore arm and really glad to have staved off the flu

blueberry23 · 05/12/2022 19:32

@Positivethoughts92 yes I had it last week and got it when pregnant with my son too. I can't imagine worse than flu when pregnant with a toddler 🤣

Moosh18 · 06/12/2022 06:19

I need to get mine booked! I had it booked then had to cancel, have started with a really sore throat so hoping not too late. I know someone who's pregnant and had the vaccine recently and they had reallt bad side effects? Anyone else get that? Only bad as in they felt rotten? X

Positivethoughts92 · 06/12/2022 10:02

I didn’t want to get it too early and then was wondering was there much point this late into flu season but probably is still worth while. Think I’ll book to get it, hopefully won’t feel too rubbish 🤞🏻

Ash0 · 11/12/2022 15:46

@Positivethoughts92 i had flu and Covid same time no side effects at all

Mayfield87 · 13/12/2022 11:07

Heya sorry for quietness from me- I just wanted to get to the 12 week scan to be sure everything was okay. Had it yesterday and all is good, measuring 5 days ahead, so due date 18th June.

How is everyone doing? x

Moosh18 · 13/12/2022 12:07

@Mayfield87 aww that's my DD birthday! My due date with this one is 19th!

I haven't had the letter through post yet about screening results, but NT was measuring within normal range. I'm really hoping it's good news I haven't heard yet x

That’s great @Mayfield87

Anyone got any type of bump yet? 😅 I am definitely struggling to get clothes that fit x

I bought my first pair of maternity jeans yesterday (12+4 first baby) because I genuinely can’t keep a pair of my normal jeans buttoned for more than about 10
mins and leggings are not enough in this weather! I definitely have a bump this week - I get it’s largely bloat/bowels rather than baby/uterus but regardless I need clothes thT actually fit! 😂

Houseelf90 · 19/12/2022 06:44

Morning, hope you are all doing ok!!
I’ve been a bit quiet on here but lurking in the background, but on my second cycle after my chemical I have just got a BFP!!
Fingers crossed this one sticks and I’ll be around 8-9weeks behind you guys 🤞🏼

Moosh18 · 19/12/2022 08:39

@Houseelf90 oh my gosh!!!! Congratulations I'm so so happy for you!!! X

@Houseelf90 when does that put you due? X

OP posts:
Houseelf90 · 19/12/2022 09:09

@Moosh18 thank you 🥰 we are away on a little pre-Christmas break at a lovely hotel, where we had planned on taking an announcement photo, so it had been a little more special to get our BFP whilst here!!
I was due to have a tonsillectomy on Thursday so I’ll now have to try and explain why that’s been cancelled 🙈
It would put me due around 28th August!

Moosh18 · 19/12/2022 09:21

@Houseelf90 ooh how lovely! I think when there's something to ease the sadness a little it helps, I would of been due this week, so I think being pregnant helps me somewhat, it doesn't replace but makes me appreciate more x

Houseelf90 · 19/12/2022 09:29

@Moosh18 oh bless you, it must be difficult for you this week, but like you say it definitely makes you appreciate it more! X
