Ladies, not a day goes by where I don't think 'bloody hell they are dealing with a lot' I don't think any of us have had an easy pregnancy and certainly all had our fair share of worries.
This seems set to continue until they are here .
You're all doing amazing, and are so bloody strong. All our little ones are lucky to have such strong mummas in their corners.

Absolutely this, we've proved between us that pregnancy is not str

Mufflette · 21/07/2022 17:47

I am so bad at doing Mumsnet on my phone ...

Not straightforward! But everyone has dealt with the challenges so well and we're all there or very nearly!

Thinking of those of you with imminent deliveries.

madeleine85 · 21/07/2022 17:57

@PopGoesBang is so right with that comment! We're all doing great!

I was reading another thread on C sections and what to expect and saw that someone recommended the maybe baby podcast by Kate Lawler season 2 episode 10 with Anna Williamson as a quick talk over her experiences of 1 natural, 1 C section, advocating for herself the second time around and debriefing the first birth with the hospital. It was really good to listen to, informative, helpful, and definitely made me feel more relaxed about the process and what to expect. Thought i'd recommend it here in case anyone is looking for something to help with their stress levels :)

ToCaden · 21/07/2022 18:03

@madeleine85 thanks. I'll check that out.

Good luck to those who may end up meeting their babies earlier than expected.

Cakecakecheese · 21/07/2022 19:42

@Unknown6 I'm on those pills for my BP too.

Consultant wanted to induce next week at 37 weeks. We said nope. There's no desperate need for it, it was all just in case. Baby has been growing really well recently so it seems a bit early for that. The plan now is for me to be induced at just before 39 weeks on 4th August with monitoring every other day and if anything problematic is picked up on I go in.

Unknown6 · 21/07/2022 21:07

Thanks all! Nothing decided yet but I'm on the ward.

SantiagoSister · 22/07/2022 00:22

Sorry to hear you’ve been admitted @Unknown6, at least they can keep a close eye on you in there though. Maybe your prediction of meeting baby this week might come true! As long as you and baby are all fine that’s all that matters. Hope you manage to get some rest tonight.

@PopGoesBang That’s a lovely comment, thank you. I completely agree with you, no one seems to have had an easy pregnancy on this thread! Wishing us all the best of luck, the finishing line is so close now 🤞🏼

Beth262 · 22/07/2022 07:13

@Unknown6 Hope you managed to get some rest overnight and you get some decisions this morning.

@PopGoesBang Yes, it seems no body on this board has has a text book pregnancy! I'm starting to think they only exist in Hollywood films 😆

Random question - have any body else's boobs started leaking?! Mine are super sore this morning (way more than 1st trimester) and I've just noticed a wet patch one side on my pj top 😬

OP posts:
PopGoesBang · 22/07/2022 07:36

@Beth262 mine did just before 36 weeks - handy because with the gestational diabetes they suggest colostrum harvesting from 36 weeks. So I've been doing that on and off now too. Tbf the leaking only seemed to last a day or two, of course it started on a day I'd worn a lighter dress!

Beth262 · 22/07/2022 07:45

@PopGoesBang Ahh thank you! Should I try have a go at colostrum harvesting later then maybe? Do you just pop it in the freezer until they come home? I did it with DS but obviously he was in NICU so once I'd managed to get some out, they dealt with the logistics. Clueless this time around being 37 weeks!

squatternutbosh12 · 22/07/2022 08:15

@Beth262 I had a couple of tiny drops out of one boob 2 ish weeks ago but nothing since.. Which is kind of annoying because I’m 37 weeks and want to start colostrum harvesting! Where’s it gone?! I’ve tried express something last day or two but nothing happens! Maybe it’ll start to come over time

@theotherfossilsister hope everything has gone ok, been thinking of you

Beth262 · 22/07/2022 09:23

@squatternutbosh12 Glad to hear it's happened to others but how frustrating for you that it's disappeared! I was hoping it was a sign somethings going to happen soon. Given what happened with the threatened appearance at 29 weeks I feel like this baby is now well overdue 😆

Yes, Me!!!! My hips and groin area are killing me. Standing up from lying down or even sitting, I have to stand still for a few seconds before I even consider trying to put weight on one individual leg - it feels like its going to give way on me.....

Saw the midwife on Tuesday for 34 week check up and baby is head down, and doesn't look like it's moving any time soon. Keep feeling like things are going to kick off soon, but I think that's more just wishful thinking. Had the joy of trying to wash dishes today, and realising I actually struggle to reach the sink because of bump!!!

Hope everyone waiting for news or their arrivals are keeping well. So lovely to see we have another baby on the thread. I'm sure we'll have a few more by the end of the weekend!!

mamaof2girls · 22/07/2022 10:35

@Unsure1010 yeah that's me am the same when I went to my 32 week appointment baby was head down and 3/5 and she was asking if I got a lot off pressure and pain there and I was so that's obv why I go back next week for my 36 week appointment so will be fun to see if they are any further down. I have to bend over to do the dishes at the sink now 😂😂😂 x

Gem2811 · 22/07/2022 10:44

@mamaof2girls I also feel your pain in this I am the exact same 37 weeks on Monday and I keep hoping it will be any day now 😂

mamaof2girls · 22/07/2022 10:48

@Gem2811 yeah I had my second at 38 weeks 4 so am really hoping I having this little one early aswell. But also there is a. High chance this is my last so also trying to enjoy the last few weeks but it's hard when you are so uncomfortable and sore 😂😂 anyone started on their birthing ball? X

Gem2811 · 22/07/2022 10:51

@mamaof2girls I am definitely one and done! 😂 I've been doing yoga since 14 weeks so been on my ball quite alot find it sometimes more comfortable than sitting on the couch

mamaof2girls · 22/07/2022 10:56

@Gem2811 aww really my first was a breeze pregnancy Labour with her was a little more harder she was back to back and not dilating really so had to get the epidural and finally dilated and had her m. My 2nd pregnancy I had such bad spd like every move I felt and heard my pelvic grinding together turning in bed was so bad aswell. Her Labour was easy done most it at home with my toddler at the time myself got to the hospital at 4cm 2 hours later she was born with just gas and air so am hoping this one will be just like my second 😂😂😂 x

Gem2811 · 22/07/2022 11:00

@mamaof2girls fingers crossed for you! I think I deserve an easier labour with having been ill or in pain the last 9 months but not sure it Will work like that 😂

mamaof2girls · 22/07/2022 11:02

@Gem2811 apparently some people say the harder the pregnancy the easier the Labour so you never know! But then they also say first can be the longest 🙈🙈 x

PopGoesBang · 22/07/2022 11:31

@Beth262 I've popped the syringes, with a name and hospital number, date and time on, in the freezer and I've been told to take them in with me when I go in and they'll freeze them there too and then I can give to baby in between feeds to help stabilise blood sugars if needed.
I've expressed into a glass and then used the syringe to suck it up from there, seemed less tricky than a lot of other ways.

Beth262 · 22/07/2022 11:35

Thanks so much @PopGoesBang I'll give it a go this evening. I've got some brand new tiny syringes still in the packaging but whole labeling thing hadn't even occurred to me 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
PopGoesBang · 22/07/2022 17:53

@Beth262 I didn't think about labelling individually - but makes sense, I've put them in a ziplock bag too, just so they are easy to grab and in one place.

Just had my 38 week midwife appt, and a stretch and sweep. Already 2cm dilated and things are favourable. Booked in again on Tuesday for another and they said they'll look at another towards the end of the week if needed and then it's induction on the 31st anyways.
Glad I've packed the hospital bag now - just need to pack dd a bag to grab and go to my offensive with when it does all kick off. And the dog. Dp is adamant he needs nothing - not sure which part of me will win, but I am
Tempted to pack him a few things in my bag or do the 'well I did tell you' but thinking I should be nice!

Unknown6 · 22/07/2022 21:55

Hi all, I'm out of hospital as they managed to stabilise my BP.

Got 3 hospital appointments next week though to keep an eye on me.
