Thank you, yes that's what I said to my partner the other day, she has just started to grow her eye lashes it's so cute.

ToCaden · 01/07/2022 22:31

Just had a thought. We're only about a week away from the oldest of our babies to start edging into what doctors consider full term (37 weeks). Wow.

Delight12 · 01/07/2022 22:07

@Celyn22 she is called Maddison, I have attached 2 photos one when she was born and the other more recent x

Oh my gosh I am so glad you shared Maddison with us, she’s not only gorgeous but such a strong little girl already. 😍

That’s me! It’s crept up so quickly. I’m 36 weeks on Tuesday, going on a camping holiday, and then are going into isolation when we’re back to ensure neither of us get covid. We are now frantically buying and washing things now 😂

I have been having period-y achy pains in my lower belly and back this evening but they have disappeared now.

PopGoesBang · 01/07/2022 23:03

@starkid just in case you haven't found it gestationaldiabetes.co.uk and the Facebook page by the same name has been a massive help to me while navigating GD for the last couple of months. Honestly worth a look at if you haven't already.

@Delight12 Maddison is beautiful and you can see how much she has changed. Bet you can't wait to get her home and have unlimited cuddles and your family together.

My red book for baby arrived in the post today, must be getting close to it all! I'm pretty sure by the end of July I'll have baby here. I might possibly tip to the 1st August but I think it'll be sooner.

Went to the cinema with dd tonight to see the minion movie. I honestly was so uncomfortable by the end of the film, and that was with it being at vue so had recliner seats 🙈 I was such a fidget.

Mufflette · 01/07/2022 23:27

@Delight12 so lovely to see Maddison, thank you for sharing the pictures. She's grown so much from one pic to the other, you can see she's doing really well.

@PopGoesBang I've just got back from the theatre and same, was a fidget with a numb bum for the last 20 minutes.

CoalCraft · 02/07/2022 06:11

@Delight12 What an absolute cutie that little girl is, thank you for sharing, that has brightened my morning xx

Beth262 · 02/07/2022 08:48

@Delight12 Maddison is absolutely beautiful 😍 and her growth between pictures is wonderful to see. Next milestone, taking her home! Thank you so much for sharing x

@PopGoesBang and @Mufflette Thanks for the heads up on the numb bums! I'm meant to be going to see the theatre production of The Lion King next weekend. Best prepare DP that I probably won't be sitting still!

@Beth262 good luck with the theatre, hopefully it'll be so entertaining you'll be fine. I'm a fidget at the best of times, pregnancy doesn't help this!

I have a charity boxing match next weekend with work, and it's black tie... I've found a dress but shoes, I haven't worn proper shoes since March, I've lived in my Birkenstocks. Don't think I'll get away with that for this event!
Also have a family wedding the weekend after - the Birkenstocks will be on for that 😂

Same here, I’ll be 36 weeks next Thursday, I can’t believe it. It really has snuck up on us hasn’t it? I’m hoping he makes an early appearance towards the end of July, I’m getting so impatient now. Plus it’s my birthday at the end of July, so what an amazing birthday present he would be 🥰

Sorry for being so quiet on the thread ladies, I have still been here reading all your posts and cheering you on! It’s been a long, difficult and anxious journey navigating pregnancy after a late loss last time, so it’s been really nice reading all your posts and being able to relate to them. I have never made it to this gestation before, it’s uncharted territory for me, and knowing we’re all experiencing similar things really helps. I hope it’s not long before we all start welcoming our gorgeous little bubbas safely into the world ❤️

Same here with end of July birthday. My due date is 13th august and he's pretty chilled in there so think he'll stay put a while provided I don't end up needing a c section, but would be an interesting birthday present.

Cakecakecheese · 02/07/2022 10:37

@Delight12 Oh she's so lovely 🥰

Anyone else getting emotional at babies? I see a baby in the street and I feel my heart is about to burst! 😳😂

Delight12 · 02/07/2022 10:45

Thank you everyone, she definitely has come a long way she is 6 weeks old today it's gone so fast. @Cakecakecheese I do too and when they leave the hospital but it will be my turn soon.

Beth262 · 02/07/2022 11:22

@PopGoesBang Thank you. I had a wedding when I was 16 weeks and that was hard enough going in heels then so you have my sympathy at your gestation! I took a pair of dressy flats to change into and they were a life saver. I'm sure no one would bat an eyelid given your presumably obvious belly 😉

Welcome back @SantiagoSister Glad to hear you're doing well.

@Cakecakecheese Generally emotional here 🙋‍♀️ There are certain adverts at the moment I've learnt to turn over!

My advice would be to try shoes on before the event!

Had a funeral back in May. I set aside a pair of smart shoes only to find they didn't fit my swollen feet! They didn't feel swollen so didn't think it would be an issue. As I'd run out of time I just ended up grabbing the well worn trainers I knew would fit.

beckybloomwood11 · 02/07/2022 11:59

@Delight12 she is adorable and I love her name!

Cakecakecheese · 02/07/2022 13:23

I went to see the new Jurassic Park and spoiler there's a bit where a mummy dinosaur gets reunited with her baby and that set me off 😂

madeleine85 · 02/07/2022 15:55

@Delight12 she is just beautiful!! Congratulations, that really brightened up my day ❤️.

@SquigsC I had the same feelings this week, 99% sure they were contractions again, but they went away a few hours after I threw down 2 bottles of water and relaxed. A bit scary being so close but so far from due. Very much looking forward to doctors scan this week to make sure all ok. Officially due Aug 30, but will be induced Aug 23, and I’d guess “safe” if he comes naturally the week before. So I just need another 6 weeks. That’s so exciting some of you will have your babies so soon, it’s really flown by!! I’ve told myself I’ll pack my hospital bag Tuesday at 32 weeks, so it’s coming around so quickly!

Tacoboutit · 02/07/2022 16:51

Thanks for the tag @Beth262 - baby month for me, all being well 🤞🏻

@Delight12 your daughter is beautiful, thanks for sharing her photo. You must be so proud of your little girl - you made that! 😍 well done mama x

Isonthecase · 02/07/2022 17:11

@ToCaden @SantiagoSister another birthday dodger here, I'm hoping he doesn't arrive on my birthday but I'll only be 37 and a bit weeks so hopefully ok... The day after is fair game though 😂

Just packed my hospital bag, only a couple more things to throw in nearer the time! I feel so prepared, did it at pretty much 40 weeks last time (watch me forget to add the last bits now and panic buy en route to hospital).

beckybloomwood11 · 02/07/2022 17:54

I'll be 40+6 on my birthday (if she's not here before then) and as it's my first could be likely to go over! I'm hoping she doesn't come on my birthday to be honest, but have a feeling that's when she'll come! 😂

miltonj · 02/07/2022 21:10

I'm a birthday dodger too... looks like quite a few of us! Although it would be a lovely present.... I don't like sharing 😅
Would love to have a chilled birthday, obviously nothing major, but I nice relaxed celebration before the birth, but I'll probably be too fed up and exhausted by then to care!

Celyn22 · 02/07/2022 23:35

@Delight12 aww Maddison! She is such a gorgeous girl and what a cute name too. Thank you so much for sharing your photos with us. I’m so glad she’s doing okay, I trust she’ll be home soon! I’m getting so excited now... I can’t wait to hold my son!

@Cakecakecheese yes me too... and if I hear a baby cry I can’t stop looking to see where the cry is coming from till I see the baby being taken care of. I think I’d benefit from borrowing someone’s dog for a few weeks...

squatternutbosh12 · 03/07/2022 08:12

@Delight12 wow she’s so lovely! Congrats! You must be very excited to be taking her home soon 🥰

eeeeeek the thread where more babies start arriving… agree with general sentiments of it all having snuck up on us!

hello again @SantiagoSister and @theotherfossilsister - sorry you have been having anxious times, hang in there! but really nice to hear from you again :) x

34+2 now and we have been buying tons of stuff- baby items and nursery bits seem to be arriving in a constant stream 😅 I also treated myself to a rocking chair for feeding- probably a totally unnecessary extravagance as let’s face it I could shove a boob in his mouth on any chair in the house, but hey ho, I do love it 😍

and yesterday we went to Tesco for “essentials” and came away with this bunny. Clearly an essential bunny though.

Thanks for the warm welcome back to the thread ladies, you’re all so lovely, I’ve really enjoyed seeing all your posts over the past few months ❤️

@squatternutbosh12 that is absolutely an essential bunny - just so cute!! 🥰 it’s so exciting like you say, that this is the thread more babies are going to start arriving on. I can’t wait to see everyone’s updates over the next few weeks as we get closer! 👶🏻
